Found this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to try based on reviews. The reviews were right the food is very good. The restaurant is kinda small but still accommodating. My wife had the Greek omelette and me and my some had the breakfast special with 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, grits or hashbrowns and toast. I also ordered a Coney Island dog to share with my son… BOMB is all I can say! I will go back if we go back to Hilton Head again and would recommend this restaurant.

Biscuits and gravy were amazing! Banana pancakes were out of this world. Awesome restaurant with a very friendly staff.

I had their French toast loaded with berries and bananas(only sold on Sundays). It was one of the best plates of French toast I’ve ever had! I would definitely eat here again! I tried my husbands biscuits and gravy. It was good but I’ve had better at home and other restaurants. Go early so you can get a seat without a wait because seating is limited.

Great breakfast place near the beach resorts. Good omelettes and excellent service. Reasonable prices for the Hilton Head area.

By far the best breakfast I’ve had in Hilton Head in the last 30+ years. Pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Biscuits and gravy to rival my own. Excellent service, average prices, but you may have to wait for a table. I think we’re going for lunch tomorrow.

Diner type fee to it. Kids pancakes were really tasty. I had an omelette that was really good. Coffee was so so.

I can’t recommend this enough! Grits were creamy and delicious and the banana pancakes left u craving more weeks later!!! And the owner brought in groceries from the farmers market while we were there, so it’s fresh!

Great place! Server was really nice. Food came quick and hot. Try the kitchen sink bisket for sure! Apple pancakes were awesome. Opens at 7 and quickly fills up.

This was a decent place for breakfast. The restaurant is part of a strip mall, and was very unassuming. You just grab a table as they become available. We were a party of four and waited just a few minutes for a table to open up. We had the breakfast combo, the kitchen sink, scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries, and the special pancakes(blueberry, white chocolate, and almond). The food was good diner food. The wait staff wasn’t the friendliest in the world, and our booth wasn’t super clean, but our food came quickly. I’d try it again when in town.

Solid but unspectacular diner food. I want to give these guys a 3 since I think a 4.5 net is too high, but I think they’re closer to a 4 than a 3 so here we go. Let me stress, the service was incredible. 5 star efficient, like best breakfast service ever. Quick on the coffee refill, food came out fresh and quick, check comes out w/the food. Just fantastic! Food taste– I had the sampler, two eggs, bacon, biscuit w/gravy, ordered one side pancake and a coffee. Overall, everything was just good. Nothing special. Biscuit and gravy was meh. Eggs and bacon were standard. Pancake was not the best pancake ever, but was good($ 3 a la carte by the way, meh). Value for food– just OK overall.

Stopped in this morning and had breakfast. I had the kitchen sink which was amazing. My wife had the apple cinnamon pancakes and my son had the chocolate chip pancakes. All I can say is everything was delicious. The staff was also friendly and wonderful. Will definitely be back.

It was ok. Kinda what you expect from a local breakfast place. Which I like. It’s a no frills joint. I got the kitchen sink and was somewhat disappointed. The chicken was dry and premade. The gravy while good and peppery was lacking in amount. When I asked for more I was charged $ 2.99. The egg was over cooked and the cheese was almost non existent. I had higher hopes based on other reviews but it was just ok.

Food was good, had an omelet and hash browns with onions and ham. Was not salty or overcooked at all. Omelet was nice and fluffy. The servers were friendly. Plan to come back before we leave!

Nothing special about this place. I have had better tater tots from the grocery store. The hash browns weren’t cooked through. The service was good and fast. We got breakfast sandwiches and they were ok. The biscuits looked par baked. There are better places to eat breakfast in Hilton Head.

The service was fast and polite here at this establishment. There is specially proud of their pancakes although we didn’t have them. The hashbrowns are crispy and tasty though!

Best breakfast ever. In HHI for a long weekend. Wanted to see if the reviews were legit! This place exceeded expectations. The pancakes are in a category of their own. So good that other places don’t compare. Had the kitchen sink breakfast sandwich. AMAZING! Fast and friendly service. Good prices! A 5 star winner!

Aesthetically, this is your typical breakfast diner, except that it does everything a breakfast diner should do right, which is rare. My girlfriend and I rode our bikes to this diner in the morning during our trip to Hilton head island. It was crowded, even during the off season as we were in Hilton head in December, but we still had no trouble getting a seat on the bar stools. There’s something mesmerizing about watching a diner at work. From the guy cooking the eggs and sausage, to the guy preparing the pancake batter, this diner looked like a well oiled machine. The workers worked very fast but were very nice and pleasant despite being so busy. I decided to get the two eggs your way with hash browns and sausage. My girlfriend went with the kitchen sink. While my meal wasn’t anything special, it was what I expected. Everything was cooked correctly and the eggs were perfectly cooked sunny side up. However, my girlfriend’s choice, the kitchen sink, was absolutely amazing. It was fried chicken over biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs and bacon. It was so well seasoned and balanced that it did not seem like a heavy breakfast despite the ingredients. I would definitely recommend the kitchen sink. The best part of this place is that even though it’s in Hilton head island, it does not try to be what it’s not so the prices are relatively cheap. I would recommend going here instead of breakfast at your resort no matter which resort you’re staying at.

There was a sign above the door that claimed this place has the BEST pancakes. I 100% agree. Absolutely delicious and no fuss. I tried 3 kinds and they were perfection. I think they are at times more busy than they can handle but definitely worth a visit! Didn’t wait too long on an October Saturday morning.

This was our breakfast SPOT while we were on vacation! If you are looking for some good, wholesome cooking, this is the place for you. It felt as if I were back home enjoying a home cooked meal! They serve up all the basics without all the unnecessary frills & flair. The pancakes were nice & fluffy but one was still enough for me! The establishment is small but I think that is what makes it even better. Our food only had to travel a few steps from the griddle to be delivered piping hot to our table! I thoroughly enjoyed my meals on both days we visited so they are consistent. We actually ventured out to a different breakfast eatery before we left town but that’s a whole ‘nother review. We wished we would have just stuck with the tried & true Southern Coney!

We liked this place. Decent food at a good price. My son tried the pancakes which he liked but didn’t love. I had a breakfast platter which had a ton of food for a great price. On the down side, I ordered my eggs over medium and they were served over easy.
