History
Established in 2010.
Laura Gravenstine is a visual artist specializing in the 3D art of Life Casting. Laura received a BFA in Visual Art from William Paterson University in 2008. Since then she has established herself as a professional in the field, is the life casting instructor at The Compleat Sculptor in Soho, and has created props for Broadway theater: Angels in America, A Behanding in Spokane, & Macbeth, as well as a recent project for Barney’s NY. Barney’s Celebrates: 20 Years of Christian Louboutin! Laura enjoys working in all realms of the field including film, private commissions, maternity and children’s casting, plastic surgery candidates, and many more! Gravenstine Studio serves the New York, New Jersey, and surrounding Tri-State area.

Laura Gravenstine is a visual artist who encourages the celebration of ‘Le Bonheur de Vivre’ or the Happiness of Life. a truly beautiful thing!
Laura grew up in the woods, amongst streams & lakes, poets, musicians, and philosophers giving her an appreciation for both the natural world and that which we create.
She’s helped many a visual artist bring their ideas into the physical realm, and has worked as project director and sculptor to create sculpture, life casts, and props for companies such as Barney’s NY, the Waldorf Astoria, Tiffany & Co. and Broadway & Off-Broadway plays — «Angels in America», «Nice Work If You Can Get It», «A Behanding in Spokane», and «Macbeth».
She also loves working with families, couples, and individuals creating works of art that have a fresh sense of life, vitality, creativity and uniqueness to help them preserve those moments in life that truly make living a celebration.
