W Hoboken

Stay away from the hotels bar! They charged a tip on my card without my consent. When i called the same night they said they would get back to me and never did. I also called the following day and they said there was no manager on duty. How is there no manager on duty when its a huge hotel establishment. I am filing a report against the hotel. Beware!!!

The security staff and manager at the lobby bar Lulu’s that’s supposed to be there to keep you safe, physically assault and harass the guests of the hotel. Read the Unilocal reviews for Lulu’s. It happens regularly there, if I had read the reviews I would of never stayed at this hotel. The security and manager are an out of control mob of thugs. The hotel claims the lobby bar is separately managed, yet the receipts and unauthorized charges on my card all say they are part of the W hoboken. Stay as far away from this place as possible! The nightmare of my stay at the W Hoboken this weekend is over but I still have bruises, the memories of emotional harassment, and embarrassment to remind me. The hotel absolutely must take responsibility of the disaster they host in their lobby. I will never stay in another W hotel again.

Stunning hotel! Breathtaking views! I spent the last weekend in January here, I found a few excellent restaurants like Brasserie Paris for dinner and Elysian Café for brunch. My only complaint was that on Saturday night the noise from people having loud music coming from two different rooms and the base from the lounge was extremely uncomfortable to say the least. I had to call to have them turn off the music at 12:30am! I was in room 1212 which had a beautiful view of lower Manhattan. I hope this review helps whoever reads it.

Amazing. Just amazing. Amazing view. Amazing staff. They put on a wedding reception in just 5 hours after my friend’s reception was canceled due to a blizzard. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I like this place on a Saturday night, it’s the lobby bar not Lulu. Plenty seats where you can order cocktails and food if you desire. It has a long bar with a TV. A live DJ was spinning some nice tunes, though it can get a bit loud and trying to have a conversation is almost impossible. Cocktails are reasonable at $ 13 per cocktail. I had the «El Diablo» which I liked very much. The service is attentive. The fun shuts down at 2AM, I believe it might be earlier during the week.

I’ll start off by saying I’m a fan of W hotels. I stayed on a whim. Flew into Newark and while picking up rental used hotel tonight to book a room at this hotel. I wanted to splurge a little treat myself. I even upgraded to a room with a view. I think it’s called a spectacular room. The front desk staff was cordial. Parking is 35 dollars a day which isn’t too bad honestly. But the biggest disappointment was the room. The drapes were broken, the bed felt like a concrete slab and the bathroom wasn’t clean. The bliss products are always nice and the lounge was nice for a casual drink. But I was just disappointed with the room. I can’t say I’ve given up on W but I sure have given up on W Hoboken.

I love this place. It really is nice overlooking the water and with the parking garage on site it’s convenient for a night or two stay when you just need a little break.
I am always happy with the beds here. They are comfy. My only complaint was the AC, it was sort of hot in the room and it was a cold night. Still I am a person who would rather be warm than cold.
We went to Bliss and had an awesome spa weekend of pampering and massages. We decided to forgo eating at the on site restaurant. It isn’t really the best, it’s very average.
Overall would definitely recommend this for a chill weekend outside of the city without having to travel too far for a non New York experience!

I stayed in this hotel many times usually a week or two at a time. Unfortunately the cleanliness is lacking. This last time it was too much we checked out early.
My three-​year-​old found a pill on the floor in front of the window. The mattress was terribly stained with clearly no attempt to clean it. It was disgusting.
A clean safe environment isn’t too much to ask.
When it was brought to housekeeping’s attention, you can tell the woman was embarrassed and said she would bring it to managements attention. I also emailed the general manager and never got a response. It’s pretty frustrating considering it’s not that difficult to respond to an email.
On a separate occasion they put me in a room that was not properly cleaned, there was a throw up trail from one side of the room leading into the bathroom which was clearly noticeable especially on the bathroom glass door, but still that was the room I was given.
If you can get a clean room, enjoy the view it’s amazing.

This place is just gorgeous. I loved our room. I loved the view. The lighting. The bed. The size of the room. The menu on the app to have a doggy bag of a lint roller, q-​tips and shampoo sent up? Loved. I took nj transit up and then transferred and the beau drove over from staten island. He said the drive was a little tricky. We then drove to EWR the next morning. That was also a little tricky especially since it iced over morning.
When you check-​in you get a 2 drink coupons and they are literally for anything! The sky is the limit! We enjoyed a drink and then when to Anthony David’s a few blocks away. We drove, but I suppose you could take a taxi or walk it. Definitely try them!
I also loved the coupon for Bliss, I bought my fave facial in a box kit for 20 percent off!
Would stay here instead of in NYC… maybe, Would I stay here again? Hells yes!

It was pretty great here. I stayed one night for my birthday last weekend. I requested to be put on a high floor and we got floor 14, the last room at the end of the hallway with a greaaaaaat view. The stay was pretty average, except that I did say when I booked that we would be celebrating a birthday, so I don’t know why they put us in an adjoining room. The people next door would knock on the door that connected the room if we got too loud.
For what it costs to stay here, it seems a little ridiculous to me that they don’t at least have free wifi? Staff was just kind of okay. It’s not one of those places where they go above and beyond to make you happy, which I’ve gotten a lot from hotels that were much less expensive, as well as hotels that were way more expensive than this one.
Overall, I had a great time, because it was my birthday, but I expected a little bit more from this place for what it costs. Our view was so great, though.

Staying at this hotel was the highlight of my trip to NY. It’s the perfect distance away to still feel in the city, but without giving up the little things. For example, I found that it was quiet at night, the streets were extremely clean, the people very helpful and nice. The hotel is within walking distance to just about anything you really need, local coffee shops (and Starbucks), restaurants, liquor store, park, and most importantly the PATH which can take you to the city in about 20 minutes, super convenient.
Valet experience was great, I left a bag in the car on the first night and they brought it up to my room!
The room itself was beautiful, the view was breathtaking! Truly amazing to wake up to the sunrise coming over the Manhattan skyline. The gym at this hotel is one of the best I have been to in a long time. It has top of the line treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals with water facing views as well as ample machines to get a full body workout in. The best part for me was the speed bag and punching bag, you never see those in hotel gyms! So I made sure to get a great workout in.
Employees at the W go above and beyond to make sure that you feel taken care of, something I never take for granted. From here on out every time I want to visit NY I will be staying here.

Luxurious hotel, decent price for being close to NYC. Check in was easy and the whole process was good. Parking a little expensive but there are street parking available.
The room was really nice and they had an expensive but good minibar. I would come back here again for the price.

The room was very spacious and clean. 8^th floor, great view of lower Manhattan. Great gym, hotel is walking distance from the ferry. Hoboken is looking better then ever, updated walkways, new parks! Best part is the view, if you stay in the city, you’ll never see this view! You’re 30 min from mid-​town or Soho.

Tonight myself and my wife went for dinner its not very often we get out but we decided to go to the restaurant for dinner as we got married there 5 years ago next week we waited 20 mins to take are order and let me say it was not that busy after we waited 1 hour for a shared app then a waitress not her fault wanted us to close are check when we asked where was are main so in a hour and 40 min we a flat bead app and 2 drinks we left even more hungry when we came in.
Also i have worked in the service industry for over 15 years from kitchen porter to bar management and owner it was a joke.
A gentleman at the table beside us had a app, maincourse and was ordering his desert and he came in after us.

Needed to be in the area for a business trip and scored the W Hotel via Priceline’s Name Your Own Price. Paid 40% less than the posted price on their site. I was pretty excited because I stayed at the W in Fort Lauderdale and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately that was not the case this time around. I always wonder if the hotels purposely put the clients who scored these discounted deals in a much less than «perfect» room.
I saw multiple stains on the carpet, seats, and walls. Was afraid to even go under the bed. What had me really puzzled was the bath tub with a partial half glass wall (see photo). I couldn’t enjoy my shower because I kept worrying that the water was spraying out to the floors and it certainly did! I really don’t know if my room was the only one with that shower design…
The pros were definitely the view, short walk away to the Hoboken Promenade and Washington Street where there are tons of good eateries. Oh yes, and the wonderful Bliss products which I could not enjoy in my shower because I was too busy focusing on not getting any water sprayed out.

W Hoboken was our favorite hotel during our trip to NYC. Check in was a bit more involved than it needed to be with questions about our SPG status, later finding that inactive accounts are purged. But otherwise a friendly experience. The room was in excelent condition and the mood lighting was just right for a romantic evening overlooking the Hudson and NYC. Location was conveient for a quick walk to some nice bars where we were able to enjoy the night life. The following morning our valet quickly brought up our car and left us a couple of bottles of water in the center console.
We stayed at a highly rated 5 star near Times Square the following night and a 4 star in Times Square the night after that. Yet our favorite of the 3 hotels was here.

W Hoboken is a great hotel for anyone visiting New York. It is located 2 blocks from the train station. The hotel rate is much better than getting a hotel in NYC. The rooms here are also a lot more spacious and clean.
W Hoboken has a great view. It sits near the river with NYC skyline as its back drop. It is near lot of great bars and restaurants. There are parks and jogging trail along the river. The area is very clean and feels relaxing.
The guest service at this hotel are awesome. The Whatever Whenever desk person was very helpful.

Great option for New York City
Who knew Hoboken was so nice?! The city has done a great job of upgrading the river-​front, adding a great walking/​jogging trail, parks, and activities. The W Hoboken is perfectly located, just a short walk from the Path/​NJ Transit station. Also a short walk away are a great selection of shops and restaurants on Washington St.
A train ride into the city runs 24/​7, only costs $ 2.75, and gets you there in less than 30 minutes. Plus, you get an amazing view of the New York skyline that you would never see if you staying in the city. Ask for a room overlooking the Hudson River
If you have Starwood status, the restaurant in the lobby offers a free continental breakfast buffet, which includes, yogurt, eggs, oat meal, potatoes, bacon, sausage, muffins, juice & coffee.

Definitely more my speed. I typically stay at Hyatt or Marriott but I’m liking the difference here at the W.
Alex checked us in smoothly — valet was $ 35 which I thought was not necessary.
Bathroom is awesome, views are gorgeous and everything was clean and orderly. Theres an arts festival happening which made getting here hard, but certainly not their fault.

I really like this W. As a SPG member, I have stayed at almost every W and this one is easily top three. The décor, ambiance and view are great. Location is pretty good, Hoboken is deff a place where a W Hotel should be and it’s close to the Path train if you want to venture into the city. This hotel is really nice and clean.
Room service isn’t great though. I received only one condiment when I specifically asked for three more than twice when making my order. I even offered to pay extra. Plus my cup was filthy!
Other than that, good hotel. Best Hotel in Hoboken (I think it’s the only hotel in Hoboken)

Wow, besser geht es wirklich nicht in dieser Gegend oder nur nur mit massivem Geldaufwand. Wow, dafür steht auch das W von W Hotels.
Man hat einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Skyline von Manhattan und ist in einem stylischen Hotel mit tollem Restaurant und Bar. Ich hatte ein Upgrade auf eine Suite bekommen und habe auch noch einen Balkon mit direktem Blick auf die gesamte Skyline. Zum Glück haben wir uns entschlossen hier zu nächtigen und nicht direkt im Zentrum. Um Das Geld wäre es dann ein mittelmäßiges Hotel irgendwo gewesen.
Die Anreise nach NYC ist komplett problemlos. Die U-​Bahn ist in Gehweite und auch in der Nacht definitiv kein Problem. In Hoboken selbst ist am Abend auf dem Washington Blvd was los und es gibt eine Menge Lokale.
