Travis is an honest guy that is hard to find nowadays. He didn’t fix my heater. Instead, he diagnosed it and found that the ignition control module was bad. He then found it for me in Amazon, I ordered it and installed it myself.
My heater works perfectly now.
He could have scammed me but, he didn’t!

Travis did an excellent job fixing my air conditioner. He responded to my request immediately and was at my home 90 minutes later.
He fixed the problem promptly and was very professional and friendly as well.

We found Central Cal Heating & Air on Unilocal.After having 4 quotes over the past year we finally decided to install new A/​C into our 40 year old house. End to end we had a solid experience. He was timely getting back to my phone messages, came out for a quote within a few days, worked quickly, and cleaned up after the project was completed. He invested time in ensuring we had the right solution for our needs and never tried to upsell me on things we did not need. In fact he saved us quite a bit of money on additional work other contractors recommended that he thought wasn’t worth the investment.
Don’t bother calling anybody else, call Travis, you won’t be disappointed.

We had Travis install air conditioning on our new home recently. He scheduled us in promptly, and as other reviews have stated, Travis is honest, charges fair prices and is very professional. We don’t anticipate any future problems, but are happy that if we ever do need anything (HVAC), we know who to call! We highly recommend Central Cal Heating & Air!

A little different review, because I ended up not using them! But, here is my story and you judge.
My A/​C unit failed as I was leaving town friday. I called and said they would be there Saturday! They came but my wife had left without my knowledge so no one was there. They left me a message to call. I did and they said «No problem. Just let us know when you need us.» So, when I got home today I called. This was about 3PM and yet he figured a way to come and at least have a look. Or, if I wanted he would come for a full visit the next day. I said «Next day». Now, I was being pressured heavily to get it fixed so I checked it and found the problem and fixed it. When I called back, I was cheerfully informed that «the cancellation was no problem, no charge!» So, this is a great business. Their courtesy and quick response has sold me on them. I will use them in the future for all of my HVAC needs. A+++++

Travis did an outstanding job ! Let me give you the full story. I installed my furnace about 25 years ago, did all the work myself including putting in the flex ducts in the crawl space, installing the gas line, doing all the electrical (installing new breaker). About 8 years later I had someone install the AC unit; Just recently I noticed that my condensate line from the AC was leaking. My furnace is in my closet so I could see water on the closet floor. It wasn’t a whole lot but I knew it needed fixing. I was able to determine that the plastic collection pan fitting (¾ inch pvc) was cracked off. Apparently someone (could have been me) stepped on the pvc pipe leading from the bottom of the coil plenum to under the house and to the outside. This broke off the fitting. I was able to patch it temporarily with epoxy from the outside but it still leaked a little. I called many local Heating/​AC guys and none of them wanted to touch it. They told me I needed a new coil even though the coil was good because they could not replace the plastic pan, with fittings. They didn’t even want to get involved! It was going to cost me about 2K for a new coil. I called Travis and he came out and had the side off the plenum where the coils were in about 10 minutes. We could see the damage. He was able to use super glue and rtv to repair the cracked corner of the pan and install a new ¾ pvc fitting. He did this for 200 dollars. Now there’s someone with initiative and creativity who solved a problem by getting involved and using his skills and experience. Highly recommend Central Cal Heating and AC.

Was referred to Central Cal Heating & Air from friend, and sure glad I was! I am a property manager, and had tenants call me with an issue with their bedroom vents blowing hot air. Heater was warm throughout the house except the bedrooms, and with the weather getting pretty chilly in the evenings, I needed to get someone out there quickly. Called Central Cal Heating & Air, and technician was able to come out either that evening, or the next. (Evening preferred by tenant) Tenant ended up choosing the following night, and Central Cal came out and was able to diagnose the problem, which was a simple fix. The vents had to be adjusted so that the air distributed evenly throughout the house. Instead of just communicating that to the tenant, and leaving them to figure it out, he took the time to walk them through how to adjust the vents and discuss what to do in the future. I need reliable, honest, and available vendors when working with rental properties, and Central Cal is going to stay in my rolodex as my «go-​to» company when needing an HVAC repair!

Called Central Cal Heating & Air and they came out to my house 30 minutes later. The technician told me it was a bad capacitor and he had one on his truck. My A/​C was back up and running 20 minutes later. Even better was the bill was under $ 180. They were great, will definitely recommend!

The team at Central Cal Heating and Air Conditioning were great from start to finish. Best of all they were fast and reasonably priced. My unit had been out for awhile, and I had priced around, however, I was discouraged by the estimated repair costs. With a baby on the way and summer closing in I knew I had to get it fixed. A buddy of mine referred me to these guys, and I’m glad he did.
The team arrived on time and ready to work. After diagnosing the issue the lead tech took the time to go over what they’d be doing to fix the unit, and he explained the time involved. Not only did they finish on time, they didn’t tack on any additional fees.
I was impressed with these guys because they were willing to go above and beyond to make sure my air conditioning unit was working properly before they left, and instructed me on how to properly maintain it (change filter, etc.) in the future.
I highly recommend!!!

My heater recently went out (circuit board failed) so I called Central Cal Heating & Air to come out and take a look. They worked around my schedule and were available when I needed them (early evening, after work) which was nice. It is typically very difficult for me to find a company who is willing to put the customer first, so I am grateful to Central Cal Heating for fitting me in after normal business hours. The service tech quickly identified the problem, replaced the part, and was on his way. The heater works like a charm! I can’t say enough good things about this company. They provide top-​notch customer service and expertise at an affordable price. Check ‘em out, you’ll be glad you did.

I get home from work and the air conditioning didn’t work. To make matters worse, a heat wave was coming in for the weekend. I thought I wouldn’t be able to get someone out here to look at my air conditioner until the following day because most places were closed. I found the number for Central Cal Heating & Air and spoke to Travis. He was at my house within 20 minutes and had my cold air flowing. This guy rocks! I highly recommend his services. I will definitely keep his number for any future work.

I definitely recommend these guys. When I called, they scheduled an appointment the same day and, they were prompt, quickly diagnosed the problem and had our AC back up and running right away for a very reasonable charge. If I ever have a issue again I will be calling them!
