Diagnostic Laboratory Services

I went to this lab because it’s close to home I can walk knowing how congested their parking garage is. You don’t get greeted and with two patients in front of me I didn’t have my # called till 35 minutes later! Then the tech who took my blood was bad at sticking the needle in and I was bruised for 5 days. How can you have people moving around and doing «something» but no one to assist people waiting?! We do have other things we need to do!!!

Brah, what a joke this place is. Get nobody in the office (patients) and you still gotta grab a number, with ⁴⁄₅ nurses walking around or working behind the desk, with no care or concern for other patients time. No sense of urgency or common courtesy. What are you saying… that your time is more important then mines? How rude… at least establish some communication, welcome the patient, let them what the wait is, or how long they’re looking at, so they can decided if they’d like to come back at another time. Don’t just say «Grab a number.» No one likes to be referred to as a number… unreal…you guys are clueless.

Congested parking lot, shabby building looks dirty inside & out, long wait times for service, and the staff is not friendly at all. The last time I tried to get a lab test here, I waited 45 minutes with 1 person ahead of me and was never greeted or helped. I walked out and vowed to never return to this location.

Tried the Kapahulu location for my blood test this time because I thought it would be less busy than Kahala…
I pulled into the parking lot at the Kapahulu location and had to wait a minute for parking. Attendant was very nice… then I had t walk around a barricade to get tot he elevator… the office is on the 3^rd floor. I got off the elevator to find myself in a crowded room that is shared with a pharmacy… OMG…err, it turns out that was a waiting room for the doctor there… good thing I noticed a door that said Diagnostic Laboratory… whew! Walked in and there were only 2 people waiting…
Junko was the tech… she was so very polite and professional. She processed the paperwork, drew my blood and I was out of there…
I get so annoyed by people saying «Next in line…» or «Next customer»…it was so refreshing to have someone actually notice that I was a human and speak courteously to me… Thank you Junko!

I’m giving it four stars bc it is conveniently located in a medical building on kapahulu and Harding and its the only diagnostic lab that is open till 5p! All the others close at 12p. Not to mention no lines, no wait and super friendly service! Yay
