Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.

Dr. Jason Ako is a graduate of Iolani High School and Creighton University Dental School, and is passionate about the opportunities in advanced dental education and patient treatment. He regularly attends advanced continuing education here in Hawaii and throughout the Mainland, attending the World Renown Las Vegas Institute For Advanced Dental Studies, LVI Global. He has been recognized by his peers as one of the Best Dentists in Hawaii by Honolulu Magazine in 2007, 2009, and 2010, listed as one of America’s Best Dentists by the Consumer Reasearch Council of America in 2006 though 2007,2010 and recognized as on of the top Dentists by Hawaii Medical Service Association Pride in Practice program 2007.
