Large variety of fruit trees(including dwarf banana, avocado and citrus), succulents and vegetables. Friendly and informative staff, gave us tips on which pants would do well in our city. The only downside is the parking/lot; it was crowded and cars were taking up 2 stalls. Large trucks would have a challenging time fitting in one stall.

I am into plants. This is a new thing. In fact, I am currently in the midst of installing a fantabulous garden on the side of my house. I am presently at the stage of trying-really-hard-to-dig-holes-in-rocky-dirt. I should be done by next summer. I stopped here to browse and while the selection is not huge, it is adequate and wonderfully local. The prices are a touch higher than your giant home improvement garden center, but the workers are knowledgeable and the plants are possibly healthier. The highlight of the trip were the three fuzzy green caterpillars we encountered on a crown flower plant. My children were absolutely delighted and took turns petting the caterpillars as the red caterpillars in our yard are spiky and poisonous. However, now my children are going to expect to see the caterpillars on our next visit because children have lofty ideals about consistency and predictability. Koolau Farmers is now«the caterpillar place». Fortunately, I believe disappointment makes a child stronger so there’s that. I bought an eggplant and a lilikoi. Both are still alive. I’m going to be a great farmer someday.

Horrible service. Just came down to pick up some worms and they told me they don’t have time for me today. I’ve spent a lot of money at Ko’olau farms and I won’t be spending any more here.

Went in this afternoon to see if they had Water Lettuce, to my dismay they didnt. The man told me, «Get Water Hyacinth.» So I go there with my nephew to check out the stock, I ask him, «I like 3.» He grabs me a tray like the ones you get your case juice from. And I was like, «I can grab ‘em myself.» I like this man’s style, you get to pick and choose. HELLYEAH! $ 1.99 for each, so I bought 3. My minnows enjoying them as we speak, maybe spawn in them soon.

Love coming here, especially since it’s a local company. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Koolau Farmers is usually our first stop to buy fruit trees(lots of varieties to choose from) and vegetables. Parking can be hit or miss, especially on weekdays, so I try to come on weekends.

I like that they have a different variety of plants and stuff here and that they are also a small local company. I’ve purcahsed blood orange, calamansi, and georgia peach trees as well as water lillies, water hyacyinth, and tons of herbs from here. Parking can be iffy — theres a big lot but if people arent going to Chuck E Cheese, DMV, and Sugoi’s it can be difficult if youre trying to go during peak hours.

Great plants and advice. The nursery area is h-h-h-hot on a sunny day, but the plants are in great condition and have good prices. The people working there know their stuff1

GOGREEN i have been going here a lot since i have moved back home from college. They are local farmers that have a lot of local and imported plants. They sell almost any vegetable or herb you can think of. They all have so many varieties of bananas and citrus tress. They just have it all. I like coming here for my local plants. i have gotten a dragon fruit plant from here, they have water lotus, all hawaiian flowering plants, acai berries trees, blue berries and a lot more. I could just list all of the plants i saw today. They also have a good selection of cheap pots and soils. I love it all. They are making me into a little farmer myself. I seriously can not wait to get a farm land and come here for all my supplies and plants. I can’t wait to just be able to live off my plants. The workers are also very knowledgable. Today one of the guys was helping me pick out plants for a very shady and wet area of my house. He selected some really nice flowering plants and showed me many other plants i could choose from. Another time, one of the elder guys helped me set up a worm bin. They have sold me many things over the past two years and I always go back to them. If you are also looking for a particular plant that you don’t see in stores, just ask them. They have many connections to local farmers and could either hook you up or direct you towards a farmer. I always tell people to check this place out. If you have plants, just still go and check it out, you will most likely end up going home with something. All they plants are fairly priced and so healthy!

In the middle of town there are seeds, seedlings, apple banana, sweet potatoes, avocado and a helpful staff. Suppoerting local as much as can even down to where the seeds come from.

LOVE it here. I bought smaller plants and was amazed at some of the prices. It’s actually cheaper to buy a growing head of manoa lettuce, eat all the lettuce and discard the plant than it is to buy a head of manoa lettuce from safeway. Imagine if you didn’t throw it away after? Anyway, lush and green location with excellent customer service. Bought mamaki, okinawan spinach(which I learned is different than okinawan cholesterol plant, but still controls your cholesteol), eggplant, some other squash, and tomato. Also bought some pots and soil. I’m ready to live local and grow my own food now that I realize I’m saving money! Well, my dad will be growing the food — I’ll just be eating it. The only thing I was disappointed in is that they were out of Stevia. I was really looking forward to that!

When you need da green stuff in your yard, no not money I wish! Da green leafy stuff yah know Plants yeah Plants. Good place to go they have all kinds to suit your needs and even some things you normally don’t think of. I purchased a Japanese Maple, An Orange Tree and A Lychee tree for my yard from here they helped me get them to the register as well as get them in my truck. Questions on the plants? they can give you the lowdown on how not to get that Brown Thumb syndrome, yup which I sometimes have that effect on plants. Parking is good except Lunch time go figure because of the lunch places but otherwise pretty ample.
