You know what makes you feel lighter after AYCE at Little Sheep upstairs? Walking around Ward Center and dropping $ 20 at MisFortune Hawaii, a cute little boutique that sells women’s accessories and clothing.
I find their jewelry to be dainty, cute, and wearable. I don’t even like «island style“jewelry, but their items were understated and reasonable — in other words, shiny but not in your face. Their prices are great as well because I remember buying an $ 8 pair of earrings here before.
As a small boutique, I like that they are unique with their product choices and charge reasonable prices. Personally, I wouldn’t spend more than $ 50 per clothing item. Anything more than that and I’d probably not like this store very much. The girl in front is always nice and there will almost always be only one person there as the place is small.

I wanted to shop at Hawaii boutiques because I’m looking for unique summer and work dresses that aren’t all over SF. The reason it matters is because I don’t really like it when people predict where I got my clothes from. With so many stores of the same kind in SF, it’s easy to happen. Online shopping is also tough since you can’t try stuff on before you buy it and you just have to guess if it fits/​looks good on you. I also don’t like going to forever 21 since everyone shops there.
I visited Ward center since the girls at Cinnamon Girl at Ala Moama recommended going there since I was looking for more Hawaii boutiques.
I walked in and instantly fell in love with all the prints/​dresses/​outfits! Everything was unique and styles I haven’t really seen at your normal Nordstrom, Macy’s, Express, Banana, or J-​Crew stores. I get pretty tired of the plain colored high-​end brand clothes or the prints that everyone will know about since high end brands usually use the same kind of print/​look for the whole season.
I was helped by Izimi and she was extremely helpful. She recommended different dresses that I really never considered. I tried them on and felt like the clothes were meant for me. It sounds exaggerated but it’s hard for me to find stuff I just love at stores in SF. These were also dresses that were classy enough to wear to work (I work at a private wealth firm in Downtown) I found so many dresses there that I liked that I ended up buying 5+!! I feel like there was a variety of style that fits different tastes. She was even nice enough to find a belt replacement for me for a dress where the belt broke. This way I didn’t have to buy a separate individual one. I also found so many cute belts… the kinds of belts I’ve been needing for my other dresses. I loved pretty much everything I tried on and I’ve been shopping all weekend and it was pretty rare for me to pretty much get everything I tried on.
The sizes run super small since I actually ended up buying a large dress. I’m normally a small but these dresses were probably made for extremely skinny people.
Highly recommend! I actually would’ve bought more but they didn’t have my size for everything I wanted.

Came to ward to meet up for dinner with my bestie. Ended up getting to ward too early, so I decided to walk about and see what shops they had over here. That is how I stumbled upon MisFortune.
This store is super small, but full of great outfits and jewelry. I must admit I am a huge fan of the dresses they carry! I was honestly surprised how much items caught my eye… Sorry wallet =/​
The prices are a little high, but honestly its about the same prices as most boutiques I have shopped at. Most outfits range from $ 20 – 50 a piece.

Beating and asking myself «Why in the heck did I not come to this cute boutique sooner?!?» I had the Festival of Giving coupon and I saved 20% off from the purchase! If I had more money to splurge, I think I could have bought the whole store!
Their selection is unique and not overcrowded with clothes. It is very pleasing to shop at because most things were organized by color. They also carried cute accessories, easily accessible as soon as you walk in. It can be claustrophobic when it gets busy, but lucky for us it was just my girlfriend, myself and 3 other shoppers, so we had more time to admire things closely and without rushing!
This season’s selections were super cute and chic! The sales associate was very nice, too, which made our experience even better! She also informed us that they always have new shipment several times a week. So if you missed buying that cute coat, maybe the next shipment may have another one in a style that will be just as cute as the other one!

Cute little boutique located in Ward Centre near brookstone. I love the accessories, particularly the jewelry and scarves. They also carry a small sale basket at the back of the store which holds great bargains! Cute tops and dresses too! Check them out!

I came across Misfortune Boutique in Ward one day and wondered how I had never seen it before! The clothes here are awesome! I would describe the style here as a mix between the clothes at
and brandy melville. Boutiques are great because you know you are less likely to be wearing the same things as everyone else. I tried on this cute collared lace and pleat sleeveless dress but because it was on sale all of the size small were gone nalready and I wasn’t able to make the size large work for me. The sale prices are way good. Around $ 20 for all items. The regular priced clothes still seem reasonable with tops around $ 40. They have alot of cute dresses and accessories too. I follow them on facebook to get updates of new stuff as they will take pics and post them to their page when there is new stock. I really like this store, and the items I have purchased so far are good quality. Only four stars just because I wish there was a little more to choose from! But I think its hard to have a big selection when you are a small local business, so not such a big deal.

Small, but super cute. Lots of cute clothes and accessories. There is no shortage of little clothing stores in Honolulu. Actually, I’d say there’s more like a plague of little clothing stores in Honolulu, but MisFortune doesn’t really fit in with the others. I’m sick of dingy Hawaiian touristy stores with the same junk. This place has it’s own flavor. It’s own flare. And it’s just my style. Whoever is picking out these dresses and tops deserves a medal. Me gusta mucho! And the prices? A-​OK me amigo. A-​ok.

I had passed by this shop in Ward numerous times, but hadn’t gone in until recently when their cute window display caught my eye. Bought two nice day dresses for less than $ 150! Great deal. I’ll definitely have to come back to check out what new stuff they have!

John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli detangler rules! Not only does my hair gleam like Fabio’s in his «I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter» phase, but it smells like a natural mix of citrus fruits and orange blossoms. Delish!

This place a cute place to get some accessories, they always have the cutest things! Most items aren’t too reasonable, but that’s the price we pay when supporting local businesses. MisFortune is a very typical boutique they got lots of accessories, cute clothes, hair accessories, and I think some bags. But I must admit that there window display is very catchy in a sense that it draws you in to the store.
The store itself is a cute shoe box with accessories displays smack in the center, catching your attention with irresistibly cute jewelry inside screaming «BUY ME!». Customer service here kind of sucks, all the workers do is stand behind the counter and stare at you. But it’s not about the workers, it’s about what there selling, which in this case over rules their poor customer service.

First time when I went this shop, I met Izumi. She is friendly and really nice person.
I wasn’t going to buy any clothes, but there are a lots cute dress which is my type! So I got a flower print dress.
Now, I always buy cloths here!!!

Went in today to pick up my ion watches that I got from play Hawaii for half off. From the moment I walked in the salesperson was very friendly and helpful. If you are into accessories, this is the place to go. They got the feather earrings, headbands, and hair clips, plus cute clothes… and they are pretty affordable!

MisFortune is a really adorable boutique located at the heart of Ward Centre. It’s adorable for the styles, the variety of accessories, and the placement of product is very appealing, too. I feel like the best way to describe everything in here is «classy with a touch of cute». I especially like the selection of dresses with floral patterns on them; The bright or pastel-​colored ones are really cheerful, in a Felicia Day or Amy Adams kind of way. Or, just very fashion-​forward Japanese.
Sadly, I’m really bad at sizing up girls (the day you give ‘em anything bigger than their actual size is the last you get a sincere smile from them.. . !!!) so I haven’t been able to get anyone a dress, but I’ve bought jewelry from here before and the recipients really liked them.
Locally owned and operated, you can tell that a lot of care goes into the selection of merchandise. The owner actually flies to Las Vegas and other cities just about every season to hand-​pick new styles for the store. I didn’t realize this side of the Ward center had these shops inside and now another place to spend my money… Just when I thought I was done with shopping…
Cute dresses and skirts in the window display brought me in, but once I was in– there wasn’t really much. While I love that they had about only 4 of each item on the rack– selection was a bit minimal. Maybe it was just an off day. Accessories are plentiful… costume jewelry, scarves and belts. I was able to score the black lace overlay skirt that was in the display window… so I wasn’t totally disappointed.
The cashier girl was nice, in a way, she stayed behind the counter the whole time– eyes on me, only said her «hi», «thank you» and «bye’s» but whatever… I got my skirt!

I have always enjoyed shopping at small local boutiques for many reasons. To support local businesses, the service is always great, and they always have really cute clothes and accessories that you can’t find elsewhere, and usually for great prices! But recently, I’ve noticed that in many of my favorite boutiques, the prices have gone up A LOT and I often see the same things in different boutiques– so nothing too unique, which has been a big bummer to me. Plus, being a mommy and having a mortgage to pay, I am really watching my spending.
So, I was super happy and excited when I went to MisFortune the other night— it’s a super small store in Ward Centre, but there is always cute clothes in the window, so I thought I’d check it out. MisFortune stands out to me because their clothes are really cute and unique, but most of all, the prices are GREAT, especially for their super cute accessories! She has the range too— from very affordable to moderately priced, and you can be assured that there won’t be a lot of other people wearing the same thing as you. I bought a top for $ 21 and earrings for $ 7 — as the whole store was 20% OFF! Can’t beat that! The owner is super sweet too and thanked me for coming in, so I hope they stay open since I know she is the new owner.

ACCESSORIZE: They have the cutest earrings. I’m not necessarily a jewelry person but I always stop by MisFortune to check out their latest selection of earrings, bangles, and necklaces. Its new owner brings in some really cute things and it seems much more affordable than before. I can usually find a pair of earrings under $ 15 or a necklace for under $ 20. YAY!!!

Love this cute boutique! Just bought two dresses there today and definitely going back soon for more! Great service and prices :)
