Phở 777 is horrible!!! I walked in around 11:30am and there were only four tables with customers on them. I had to wait in the front for 10 minutes before someone from the back came out to seat me. After I ordered my small phở with well done flank and an iced coffee, no one came to bring me water or my coffee. Eventually my phở came out but still, no beverages. I had to flag down the server for my water and coffee. The phở was disgusting with lots of fatty and inedible pieces of cartilage(pictured below). I only had 4 good pieces of meat. Never coming back! And did I mention that this place is filthy! Barf!

Okay so this use to be my favorite phở spot! My faves — combination phở, banh mi, & their Thai tea is bomb! BUT today we came in… and as we were ¾ done with our meal, my nephew found a ROACHINHISPHO!!! We quickly called over a male server and told him, he then told our server, and they were both just freaking out a little lol. Then they told a female server and she offered to cook a half size new for him but we were already so disgusted because we all ordered the same phở which was probably all cooked in the same pot. She was very nice about it but it was just soooo gross I’m happy we got a picture of he roach before she took it away… Just a warning, if you order anything here especially the phở, CHECKYOURBROTHANDSOUPTHROUGHLY! I’ve never had a bad experience coming here until today. The roach was just super nasty and I can’t believe it was COOKED in his soup.

Service was alright. Literally had to wait for my food for at least half hour and it wasn’t even busy.

The food was great, and tasty! The restaurant, however, was filthy and disgusting! The bathrooms were almost unusable! There wasn’t anything in the restaurant that wasn’t filthy!!! Too bad… Good food if you want to overlook the obvious. Apparently, is their local patrons don’t give a s*** about the filth, so they will always have the regular customers. The good food made up for the disgusting filth in my review

The flavor for the soup is fantastic! Love the phở and spring rolls too! Very generous in their portions and price is reasonable!

The parking lot has very small parking stalls which leads to idiots parking in two stalls. This restaurant is located amongst other popular eateries in the McCully Shopping Center which makes it difficult to find parking if you come during peak hours. Now onto Phở 777. It’s good, nothing special, just another Phở place. The server I had was a younger man who seemed more interested in talking to his friends who were dining in at the other table than taking our order.

Went last evening for some take out dinner. I thought the prices were high compared to other Phở shops on Island. I went with summer rolls and bun with bbq pork and spring rolls. The flavor of the food was ok and the peanut sauce left something to be desired. The rice paper on the summer rolls was hard and inedible. Also, on the bun some of the vermicelli was hard. I am not sure if there is a problem with soaking the rice noodles or rice paper appropriately, but it was really a let down.

This establishment used to be one of my favourite phở joints for years. The owner is humble and kind, the waiters/waitresses and cashiers were attentive and even cracked jokes, food came out in a flash and was delicious; the service was awesome. WAS. The only good things about this place now are the phở and they’re open late. The last two times I’ve come(between Sept. 15– Nov. 15), I don’t know WHAT in the world happened here. We got our seats per usual, then came two people taking our order: the female cashier and waiter. I asked for her recommendation on the vegetarian dishes, and after she interrupted me by snapping at me and specifically saying she didn’t know«a thing»(uh, what?) about the food because she«doesn’t eat here and can’t tell me what I like because everyone has different opinions, and ask her something else about the food instead», the waiter proceeded to also inform me that he doesn’t know what«Vietnamese Style» was in the egg noodle Central Vietnamese Style and repeated what the cashier said. We ordered our food which didn’t take long at all as usual(maybe the only thing I love about this place now.), but I was appalled at the sauce we received for our spring rolls. Included in our dish was clearly a dry ring of sauce residue on the interior, above the level of our actual sauce, possibly indicating that this dish was either reused/not washed, or an inch of the sauce evaporated into thin air. I would have assumed the latter, but unfortunately, the piece of noodle hanging off the rim and noodle remnants in the sauce proved me wrong. We were informed they also do crispy noodles soft, and when the food came out crispy, they took it back and returned it to us with half the amount of noodles there originally was. The waiter returned to give us a speech rewarding himself that he was at least«very true and honest, and not a liar» when he told us he couldn’t explain a dish or give any recommendations. When we went to the cashier to pay(cash first, then card), she got confused and decided to split the bill in half(which was already split), in half again even though it was only us two dining. When we informed her what we really wanted, she chose to yell at the waiter, who rushed out to ask my boyfriend in a flustered manner, «You told me you wanted the bill split in half. Why did you tell me that??» when we clearly did NOT. Even if a customer were to make such a mistake, why would you confront them like that in such a manner? We all have worked as customer service at some point in our lives and this wouldn’t be an ideal way to approach any situation. I certainly don’t believe the«the customer is always right, so treat them like a king and shine their shoes», but I would also not blame them if I were the one to make a mistake. The reason why it isn’t 1 star is because I know Phở 777 is much better than this. I’m not even going to explain what happened the second time I came back, which included the cashier huffing and puffing for stupid reasons. Please bring back the previous people who made this establishment great, or have these new faces change their attitude, because even your delicious food won’t bring us back to face this dreadful customer service. :(

My uncle took me here, YEARS ago, it seemed brighter before. I came here yesterday with my bf. It is located in the McCully shopping center(which is always congested w/traffic lol), it’s on the 2nd floor. When we first walk in, the smell is really nice(to me). We got seated in the far booth in the back of the restaurant. My bf thought it was weird for the clutter, but I thought it was normal, being that I have been to many vietnamese homes lol. Not appropriate for a restaurant though. Our server gave us waters and asked us if we knew what we wanted. He gave us a minute. He was really attentive and had a THICK Vietnamese accent lol, my boyfriend misunderstood him. When we were ready he came and got our order. We got 1 medium phở special, 1 medium seafood phở and 6 crispy eggrolls(cha gio). Everything came out quick and at the same time. Their phở was decent, there wasn’t enough meat in my bowl. The soup had a nice flavor, it wasn’t salty but overly sweet. I couldn’t pick up the taste of the star anise or cinnamon. But it was decent. My boyfriend’s seafood phở was pretty good too. I liked it. The eggrolls, we started eating those AFTER we finished our phở, they were still piping hot. They were HUGE lol. Even when we roll them at home, my mom makes them so small. We had to get it to go. I thought the service, price, and quality were good at this place. It reminds me of my aunt’s restaurant back on Maui. Maybe next time I will try a rice dish. lol. ^__^

Felt really under the weather this morning and was craving phở. This was the only place that was actually open before 10AM, so me and my friend decided to check it out. Got 2 larges, beef & beef balls and a combination. Phở came out super fast and I was stoked about that. Phở was good but I didn’t like that there was a lot of tripe in the beef balls, but that’s just my personal preference. The prices were okay, paid $ 10.50 for each bowl. Overall I liked the phở, but I’m giving it 3 stars because of the cleanliness and the ambiance of the room. We had to wipe the sauce dishes because they were dirty and a lot of the tables and chairs were not very clean. Also, the tv was blaring really loud with some foreign music that got quite annoying.

This is why I trust Unilocal, the reviews for this place were precise. Luckily, the only bug I encountered was the fly going around to each table. There’s something about being fearful of bugs in food after seeing the previous reviews with pictures of the evidence. Other than eating very carefully to ensure that a bug isn’t eaten, I wasn’t satisfied with the food. Coming from LA, I have really high standards for Viet food. I ordered phở chin gan sach, bun cha gio thit nuong, and the bì cuón. The best option out of the three was the phở. As I break it down… Phở: The broth was too oily and tasteless. There wasn’t enough noodles and the amount given was too mushy from the start. The vegetables seemed old. and the meat was just okay… Cold vermicelli dish: I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone if they’ve had really great experiences elsewhere. The noodles didn’t deserve to be in a dish with a good reputation. There wasn’t enough meat and the fish sauce was off balance. Shredded pork roll: Every ingredient that was made of the appetize tasted old and was not good. The peanut sauce was also off balance and too sweet. I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

This is not necessarily the #1 Phở in Honolulu but there service is always wonderful. When I’m sick this is the place I turn to because they NEVER mess my order up. Phở is good. Always consistent. I love the seafood. I’ve actually eaten other things off the menu, gasp! Crispy veggie spring rolls are a do. Perfectly cooked; almost burnt but not. Thai iced tea — is always a good choice. I

Found a hair in my Phở and lady there replied with, «So?» Acted like they didn’t even care. She then proceeds to ask me, «So what do you want me to do about it?» Never coming back.

The phở is good. However the service is complete s*** & so is the parking situation. My boyfriend got a soda when we ordered. but the guy didn’t bring it until we were finished with our phở! That was the last straw for us, we’ve never gone back & have been going to Phở My Lan since! Oh, & fyi if you order your appetizer & meal at the same time they’re gonna bring it out ALLATONCE.

I have been here about three times and always have been to-go. So this review is solely on the chicken phở and Thai tea, because that’s the only thing I have ever ordered here. I found this place on my handy dandy Unilocal app and gave it the benifit of the doubt after reading only the bad reviews. The man at the register was nice, took my order(you can only order the large to-go) and asked me to take a seat while my food was being prepared. Which only took about 10 minutes. Once I got home, I put the phở together to my liking and enjoyed it while watching a movie. Oh yeah the Thai tea is a bit sweet but overall okay.

Two infractions in one meal are a no go for me. We ordered spring rolls and found two black specks floating in our fish sauce. These were dead bugs. I ordered a small phở. In the fresh veggies that typically accompany the noodle dish, I found one very long hair tangled up on the ong choy. When I alerted the waiter, instead of taking away the veggies, he pulled the hair out of the veggies and only thought to replace the entire dish after I kept on staring. Phở was nothing special either. And at $ 4.50 for an ice coffee, you’d think that there would be enough to at least fill up the glass. Nope, the little saucer they gave me only filled up half of a tall glass. Most of the time I don’t like to be so negative, but two in one is just gross. Who knows what the inside of their kitchen looks like? There’s no shortage of good phở places in Honolulu, so avoid this place if you can.

Am I the only one here that always gets«something special» in my food? First the roach and hairs in the house sandwitch. Not gonna lie my bf orders the house sandwich a lot and about half the time we get a hair in it, just one(long one). But I got one to go and when my bf started eating it he found a white hair in it, when he checked about 5 more were found… are they plucking white hairs out of old lady’s heads? GROSS. It was too late to return it because maybe half was eaten.(Gag*) Sadly this was the last straw and we are no longer coming back here. Only reason we would is because I like that one sauce with the spoon in it, don’t know anywhere else they have it. Actually the only reason we still go there.

The rolls and phở here are amazing. I tried the phở with oxtail and the vermicelli with bbq pork… wow. The phở was fatty and hard to take a break from(broth #onpoint). The vermicelli was ah ma zing and fulll of flavor. Spring rolls were perfectly cooked. But I wouldn’t order the summer rolls again boring…(maybe not my thing, anymore?). The creative menu features porridges and tons of duck dishes as well. I look forward to trying the rice and noodle dishes here(great selection!).

Despite having only 3 stars, my bf & I decided to eat here anyway because our 2 preferred phở spots in the area were closed for vacation. We made a huge mistake. Bad service, bad food. The place was packed & the workers seemed rather stressed & confused but I thought that might be due to an influx of customers with no other phở place to go. We walked in & were told by a young guy that there would be a 20 min wait. So we waited out front a while before noticing that other ppl coming in after us were actually being seated. We walked back in & some older guy sat us right down, came back to slam some waters down, then disappeared. After about 10 minutes, we had to flag a waiter down to take our order. The food came out rather quickly but was extremely disappointing. I always order the same thing at every phở restaurant: rare beef with well done flank. I purposely avoid the chewy(cheaper) parts of meat… but that was unavoidable here. They gave me so much cartilage/fat that I ended up with more«meat» in the discard pile than in my belly. Even my bf’s beefball was about 50% fat gel. Shortly after we got our food, the table next to us became empty & an older guy from the back wheeled his bus boy cart over & literally parked it right behind my seat. As I sat there trapped, blocked in with nowhere to escape, he began tossing(yes tossing) used dishes & utensils into the cart that was right behind me. My bf & I had to stop our conversation for the *plomp* & *thwack* sounds of the dishes slamming into the plastic bins, all while my back got splattered & splashed by used crumbs of food from other ppl’s dishes. I left here hungrier, dirtier & $ 37 poorer then I walked in. Never returning.
