Starbucks

Probably the busiest location in downtown HNL since its right in the middle of the city. They have a lot more seating since the recent renovations and the space is now wide open. Since I am a Starbucks rookie, I used my app for the first time and it was super easy to order, pay and receive our beverages. The staff was so friendly and super efficient.

The team is extremely efficient and friendly, even with lines to the door. Keep up the great work!

Love this Starbucks although I’m not a coffee drinker, i love pastries & sweets and so i usually have very great time going there. Gotten around to be able to meet great friends and some from previous school, some from the gym. I was glad to be able to have meetings with colleagues and friends at the store so it feels like a gathering place for chitchats and for catching ups. Sometimes I also find myself zoning out and zooming in to my world of concentration and were able to complete some small and simple tasks while on the go.
Besides the crowd and the gourmet, i was so glad that i received an email to remind me my remaining balance since i had some cards and it is sometimes difficult to keep up and stay on top of everything with all them and so it was very nice to receive the reminder. Additionally, I thought it was a great feature to be able to either make the payment through gift cards or smart phone applications. and YES! Birthday free drinks… i remember those freebies and sweet good old days… really do have to acknowledge it.
There was also internet available and every once in awhile i get to check email if i have my laptop. I thought it was very nice to be able to stay connected even when someone is on the move or on the go it would be great to be able to stay informed and be in the know of daily news or weather forecast for the local area.

I’m really not a flavored coffee person, I just like plain olé black coffee. But recently I discovered the flat white, and haven’t stopped ordering it ever since. I’m not sure if all flat white coffees are made the same, but Starbucks’ version with coconut milk is delicious. The perfect froth, and a jolt of caffeine keeps me going all day.
This location is always crowded… especially in the morning until 10am and then in the afternoon, after 2:30p. The staff members are fairly quick, but just sometimes a little snippy when it gets busy.

This is a great location. We were in port on a cruise ship and had to walk down to Walmart. We passed this store on the way and decided to stop on the return. It was a rainy day and they were not very busy so it was nice and quiet. I really enjoy visiting a Starbucks especially this time of year. They have my favorite The Pumpkin Spice Latte. It’s served fresh, hot and with a smile from the server. the staff here was very friendly and helpful. They have nice tables to sit and check email with the free wifi.

Friendly people, quick service. And $ 2.50 for a really good cup of coffee downtown is not a bad price.

I absolutely love this Starbucks location! It is located in the Bank of Hawaii Tower lobby level on the corner of Bishop and Merchant Streets! The baristas and staff are great, as they just about know their «regulars“‘on a first name basis, as well as their «usual» coffee or tea! :)
Every now and then, I throw a curve ball and order something different! Teehee … ;)
This location was newly renovated about maybe a year or two ago? Gosh, maybe even longer? It is spacious! It is vibrant! There are lots of tables and chairs to network, work, homework, have meetings or just fellowship time among friends, co-​workers or maybe even a stranger or two… They offer wi-​fi if you just wanna hang out and surf the net!
Besides hot/​cold coffee, tea or food, they offer a wide selection of recyclable coffee containers or tumblers for hot and cold drinks, as well as packaged coffee for your take home enjoyment and home coffee brewers or espresso machines!

Today was my birthday, so of course I had to go to Starbucks before work to get my free birthday drink! The line was long but it moved quickly, and there was a man helping explain mobile ordering to everyone in line. The staff was really friendly and felt like taking a break from the espresso, so I ordered a venti iced green tea latte. This was the perfect way to start my birthday spent at work, and also a plus that this Starbucks is right across the street from where I work!

Super staff that’s why I come in everyday! Start day out perfect! Atmosphere relaxing so go to work with smile!

These guys rock long lines like nobody’s business! They are my go to during the work day because, even if they have a line wrapped around the place, they get me in and out fast.
The barista’s make it a point to get to know your name, your favorites, and your preferences.

This place is descent to study. No parking available due to being located central downtown area. The staff was less enthusiastic as I’m use to at other locations.
I think it’s good to compare to see similarities and difference in what each store has to offer.

If you see a long line it doesn’t mean a long time at this Starbucks. They do a great job!

My favorite Starbucks thus far lol! I always order the hot white mocha and its always consistent. That’s what I look for and the staff has awesome customer service!

This used to be my favorite Starbucks. But I’m slowly losing faith.
I used to be able to order my relatively simple drink without issue. But not anymore. I order a Grande Vanilla Dark Roast with Coconut Milk. Not hard. Vanilla syrup, brewed coffee, coconut milk.
However, this is the third time in as many weeks that they keep forgetting to put the vanilla syrup in it. One person assumes the other did it, and it never gets done. Yes, I can tell the difference.
I usually don’t realize it until after I leave because the drink is too hot to drink in the store. So then I’m stuck with the coffee I paid for, but didn’t get. Those shots of syrup are extra, so basically they’re ripping me off.
It’s a shame. With all they’re money, the employees are finding more ways to make them money!
Next coffee shop please.

I usually get a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher and today was no different. The big difference was the look and the flavor. It was not as hibiscusy as I’d like. I’m also used to that Very Berry look and it wasn’t. Made me a little sad.

I love this location! I always hang out at this location, when I’m in the downtown area. Nothing bad to say.

good workers here. very fast with drinks. I always get my raspberry green tea here because they make it perfect for a hot day

Ok so I gave this place 2 more chances and both times they didn’t top my drink off and made the drink incorrectly.
Unfortunately, I’ll be switching coffee locations.

Big fan of starbucks because I can always get a reliable cup of dark, bold coffee. This place was no different in the coffee department, so double thumbs up on that. Where things went sideways was ordering a couple of breakfast sandwiches. First, they ordered the wrong ones… then they were out of the ones that I wanted (and that I paid for). Instead of being able to swap sandwiches, they had to credit my card, then debit it again. This all is in the middle of the morning rush. The financial transaction started to take on the same level of pain as buying a house.
My recommendation… chill, listen to what people are asking for and check your inventory. simple, easy steps.
I will be back, as its really only place to get coffee, but I will pass on any extras, as they seem to struggle with that.

I ain’t gonna lie bro, I don’t drink coffee. Nor do I drink tea. I used to bring a 32 oz. canteen of water to work every day — until I got sick that is.
Decisions decisions:
So I walked downstairs to get some tea. Seeing that I haven’t drank anything from Starbucks since I was 15, I really had no idea what to order. Honestly, I flipped through the Starbucks app and all. Even asked a friend what she suggested, but I just wanted to get rid of this scratchy throat.
Got it:
In the end, I just stood in line, not knowing wtf I’m doing. And I was just straight up when it was my turn like, ««Yo, what… would be good to drink for a cold?» and the guy over the counter threw out some suggestions. I went for the Refresher. Thing really did not have a good taste… since it almost seemed like tea with menthol. However, being Chinese, we are the masters… of drinking tea that tastes like crap — In the end we just say, «Is good foh you.»
So being that I didn’t know what I was doing, I didn’t ask for ice in my cup. Took about half an hour for the tea to cool down to a drinkable temperature.
Conclusion:
You may be thinking, so you liked the service, but hated the tea… why 5 stars? Bro, let me tell you. To make a valid suggestion is all I asked for. The refresher might’ve tasted like ass, but the functionality of that tea was good. He made an accurate suggestion after learning what I needed. That’s what makes a business good. If I were to ask for their most popular drink, I’m sure I would’ve been happy with the taste.
Again, I don’t drink Starbucks often. But I feel safe in knowing that if/​when I do, I can go downstairs and I’ll be in good hands.
