Rudest Starbucks staff ever Kathryn in particular was super rude taking me and my husbands order. She acted like we were unconvincing her by even being there she had a horrible attitude. I asked her for a grande chi tea frapp she then got a huge attitude and said what size I was like grande even though I just said it. I also ordered a an everything bagel with cream cheese she then proceeded to tell us they were out of cream cheese so my husband asked for a blueberry bagel instead with butter Kathryn and her co worker then got a huge attitude again because they already toasted the other bagel. She was rude to every person before us in line also. I can’t believe they let these type of people work at Starbucks. My first experience at Starbucks that was bad I am very disappointed.

My favorite Starbucks to go to. I work in the RHSC so I come to this location often. The workers are great, they’re nice and remember me and my orders. Always having a smile on they’re face even when they’re slammed with customers. The shop is tiny, not a good location if you want indoor seating to drink your coffee. It’s more of a grab n go type of place. Which is fine by me. Avoid mornings, that’s when they’re the busiest with workers and tourists trying to get their morning coffee. I usually just make a mobile order when I park my car so by the time I get there my order is done, beat the line and ready to go(;

there isn’t a recent review up here so allow me to tell you that this place hasn’t improved. I don’t quite know how to explain the quality except that it’s like the real baristas got kidnapped and the people making the drinks are back there trying to make drinks with no skills or knowledge how to. also the older guy who works there is consistently rude and dismissive. it’s a shame because I imagine they do a lot of business. get new management and better staff. if you want a cup of water and sugar and no coffe, by all means visit this location.

Ordered two ice coffees with half and half milk. Feels like the Starbucks employee forgot to put coffee in our drink. Nothing but milk! Also not that friendly! Avoid this place!

Ok this place is the worst Starbucks I’ve been to! Coffee was sub par and customer service was so lacking ! I gave it a couple tries and still the same outcome. It’s not stroller friendly and mostly tourists there! Go to the coffee bean a few stores down towards the water! You will be much happier all around. Really disappointing as I love Starbucks

Kev the manager is GREAT! Rachal Deleon — the girl working the front is why this place has terrible reviews. Rolled her eyes at me and called me rude because I asked her a question. Perhaps mcdonalds or Burger King would be a better fit for her.

WORSTSTARBUCKSINAMERICA. I ordered a drink here, 2 infact, and both the employees said they didnt know how to make the drinks. so being a former starbucks employee, I WROTE down the ingredients to the exact pump, on how to make them. they completely screwed the drinks up, since i was a rush i didnt try them till i got back to work. no time to go back, and now i feel like im drinking water. i am fully dissapointed, and honestly will probably never get coffee there ever again, really sad. those baristas need to go. this was on 7÷7÷14 at 6:15 pm, so whoever was working, they really need to go. im not paying 7 dollars for a watered down drink that i gave you specific directions on how to make. who messess that up… either they DONT care, or they are just plain SLOW. either way, hire new employees.

This Starbucks opens at 6:00am, WTH??? I’ve never heard of that, but what I found out is that the mall manager for Royal Hawaiian said that they won’t turn on the air till 6:00am. That’s weird, I thought the temperature is controlled by each individual store. When I did come back at 6:00am, I got great service with a smile :)

This is a duplicate entry. Although the location/address for this is more exact, the reviews for the 2201 Kalakaua branch are in fact the same establishment. There is only one Starbucks at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. By definition a franchise should not vary much between branches, but there are indeed subtle differences. Here’s my take on Waikiki’s most common coffee shop with emphasis on the facility. Starbucks The Outrigger Reef: The coziest. Packs a lot into a small space and still creates a comfortable ambiance. Small amount of seating indoors and a few tables outside for people watching. Starbucks Hilton Hawaiian Village — Penguin Place(Ali’I Tower): Deep in the HHV complex this Starbuck’s is the roomiest. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, although indoor air conditioning runs very cold. Best for meetings but lacking in atmosphere. Starbucks Hilton Hawaiian Village — Kalia Tower: More a lobby kiosk than an actual branch. Seven tables outside and hotel lobby on the inside so seating is available. Starbucks Park Shore Hotel: Zoo end of Kalakaua: Busy and therefore not as well kept. Starbucks Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center: On Lewers across from Beachwalk. Extremely tiny. No indoor seating. Very few tables outside. Best for carry-out.

I know I’m late to the game, but I JUST found out about the Starbucks rewards program(like 3 months ago… Thanks Ryan P) so of course being the loyalty card addict I’m, I frequent Starbucks a LOT… and yes I’ve achieved my Gold status. :) This Starbucks is the closest one to my work so I don’t really have a choice but MAN the staff here(except this new lady, Kelly who is super nice) are the worst I’ve ever experienced. I have no idea who is managing that place but they need to learn how to smile, say«Thank you» «have a nice day» like they really mean it. Cause to be honest, they all sound like depressed robots. I’ve been going there for about 2 months straight, at least 3 – 4 times a week and they STILL don’t know my order which is simple. And they never tried to attempt to learn it… Every time I walk in there, its like I’m a completely NEW customer whose never walked into that store before…

I love Starbucks but I experienced the worst customer service at this particular Starbucks. There were maybe 2 or 3 people when I walked in and all I wanted was a water. The girl at the register was nice and got the cup ready for my water. However, the guy who was making the drinks was distracted by these two girls who were talking and flirting with him. Which caused him to be EXTREMELY slow with everyone’s drinks. More and more people began lining up and soon there was a long line. By this time 5 – 10 minutes had gone by and all I ordered was a freaking cup of water! AND he was still flirting with those 2 girls. I was very very irritated by this time and I was about ready to tell this stupid guy to stop flirting with these chicks and get me my damn water! It got so crowded and busy that they needed to call in another employee to help make the drinks. I finally walked up to the other guy they called in and nicely told him that I had ordered a water a long time ago. He asked what size(weird because they don’t give you a size option… whatever) and I told him I didn’t know I just asked for a water so he gave me a Trenta. At least this guy had some decency! After that I said thanks and stormed out so irritated! Maybe this Starbucks wouldn’t get such bad reviews if some of their employees weren’t desperate for some attention.

They need a counter on the railing with bar stools outside because no inside seating, only 5 tables outside and singles people will monopolize a table for 4…

I agree with all the 1 star reviews. Im glad it wasn’t just me! I come here a lot because I work down the street. Every visit here is a bad one. Maybe Starbucks sends all their sassy employees to work at one location to control the spread of them.

I am a fan of Starbucks but this place is less than bad. I gave them a two star rating Only because the coffee is consistent as it should be. The service couldn’t be worse unless they threw the coffee drinks at the patron. I thought it was just a bad day so went back the next day. Didn’t make a bit of difference. No green tea? No berry tea? Are you crazy?

Whew! There sure is a lot of hate among these reviews! I go here almost daily since I work nearby in Waikiki and I have never been let down. –Quick service –Friendly staff –Correct drinks(theyve never messed up on my drinks) sometimes there is a line, but its Starbucks. What do you expect? I will always come to this one for my caffeine needs in a rush.

I literally want to shake the shoulders of every employee in the place and ask what is going on! Since I work right around the corner, I’ve been coming for years. Once upon a time, they had the most amazing service ever; a manager and a staff that made you feel like you were walking onto the set of «Cheers.» Everyone knew your name AND your order. Nowadays, I spend absolutely no time wondering – for example – what the manager and his kids were up to over the weekend, and all my time wondering if the ENTIRE staff is totally stoned, or just totally disinterested. Everyone in my office went on strike a couple months ago, abandoning this Starbucks in favor of the Coffee Bean down the street. I was the final holdout, *only* because my beloved Gold Card gave me free soy and syrups. Now that they’ve changed their policy, I see no need to go back. Customer service is an oxymoron, and it’s questionable whether they’ll get your order correct. On my last visit, I had to return to the store a third, yes THIRD, time to get my order right. Why? Because my soy mocha was missing the espresso. Both times. I can’t even get into the fact that it was barely lukewarm and that they interpreted«light whip cream» as «a 3-inch layer on top.» No, it was simply the fact that a coffee shop kept forgetting to, ohhh, put the coffee in. Someone in their corporate office needs to get on this place, and fast. If for no other reason than I don’t want to be resigned to Coffee Bean forevermore.

I am a loyal starbucks customer and have even worked at starbucks before(5 years), I was soooooo disappointed in this place. Not only did their attitudes suck but they I know how easy it is to make my drink(tea misto) they just couldn’t do it right and insulted me by pretending like they made it right. The wait time for my easy tea misto was about 10 mins, thats right, I wait and watched my drink get surpassed by other drinks I gave them a second try and ordered a latte and got the same experience. Don’t waste your time going to here go to another starbucks.
