We specialize in the highest quality of owner curated beads, gemstones, tools, findings and all things jewelry-​making related. It is our primary focus to share our knowledge and skills in our classes in order to empower you in your creative expression with the ultimate goal of transforming our customers into friends and family!

Our products are hand-​picked by the owners, tools are time-​tested and used personally by our staff. We specialize in one-​to-​one personalized classes where we teach all of our techniques with attention to detail and most importantly to the customers skill level, interest and enjoyment. Each of our staff has at least a decade of jewelry-​making experience to guide you to your perfect project!

History

Established in 1997.

Opened in the fall of 1997 with the sole purpose of teaching how to work in hot glass and torchwork — that quickly changed to a full-​fledged bead store as I realized how important and effective beading was in self-​expression, creativity and making the time to enjoy ourselves.

We started with just me, Jamie, working in our 600 square foot store next to Ala Moana shopping center with a small display of vintage and glass beads, a rotating rack of gemstones and pearls and a small selection of seed beads. After our move to Ward Avenue, we tripled our inventory and staff to accommodate the growing number of beaders!

Now in our 19^th year and in our current location in Kapalama City Square we have the experience, knowledge and time-​tested experiences of being able to be a definitive source of information on all things beading, and possess an authentic interest in sharing our passion with everyone who walks through our door. Business Owner

My life changed on New Year’s Day in 1994. I woke to my girlfriend chirping: «Whatever you do today, you’ll do for the rest of the year.»

That day, she taught me how to make my first pair of earrings and I was hooked!

By 1997, I was an unstoppable with beads and I couldn’t get enough seed beading, macramé, knotting, stringing and wirework! The idea of doing it everyday absolutely thrilled me!

Along the way, I was gifted with an awesome bead partner in Jason, and an extra right and left hand in Michelle and Amanda who’ve been with me almost from the start. Together, we’ve been a bead store for 19 years, and that amazes me and takes my breath away. I can’t count the thousands of people we’ve met, loved, lost, and renewed along the way. It’s been a blessing and a daily adventure.

I love what I do. I am committed to sharing my skills, passion, and creative abundance to grow even a larger community of people to share in my passion. Which isn’t beads, by the way. It’s loving life!
