I’ve been doing business with this place for 5 years. The inventory is priced high, but it’s not junk. Go to ANY pawn shop in the Houston area and they all want the same thing: a few bucks below retail. A&P might make you a fair deal, but don’t lowball them. If you offer an unfair price, they won’t play fair either. It’s a business, they have overhead and costs, and they don’t like their time being wasted. That said, they have always treated me fairly. I’ve always received a fair loan and fair purchase. Could they be better? Yeah, sure. Everyone could. A lot of people are put off by the«old man» and I don’t know why. They’re not your friend. They don’t care to chit-chat about anything and everything and make small talk. They’re there to make money. They’re not going to give you what you want but they are FAIR. Which is a LOT more than I can say for any other pawn shop I have been to. This is my go-to place, and it should be yours as well.

In my opinion, pawn shops are for two things: loans and bargain buying. While I’ve never needed to pawn anything, I definitely thought this place had some cool merchandise. They have a ton of recording studio and music equipment that’s not your run of the mill stuff. It’s high quality preamps, converters, and microphones. They also have a huge selection of HiFi stereo equipment. However, their pricing is not at all modest. Most of the equipment doesn’t even have price tags, which in my experience is never a good sign. It’s very expensive, and there’s almost not incentive to buy from them. I can find much better prices online or would probably prefer to buy used.

Very rude owner. Was trying to play basic mind games to negotiate a lower price on an item I was trying to sell. As in taking a very long time when there was no one there. And not speaking to me or taking a long time to reply to everything. Ended up going to another pawn shop and got $ 100 more than the price he said«could not be beaten.» Yeah right.

Oooh, their prices are high! They’ve some good stuff though, but at close to new prices for quite used merchandise I think I’ll pass.
