A Pea in the Pod

I have been to A Pea in the Pod several times for maternity clothes during my pregnancy. The employees there are fabulously nice and make you feel good about yourself even though you feel like a blimp. The clothes are cute and decent quality, definitely better than the stuff they sell at Motherhood. They have a lot of jeans to choose from but they are all on the pricey side. I bought two pairs of black pants for work and both ripped at the seams (no they were not too small). The clerk happily exchanged them for me without any hassle. I’m super happy with this store and would recommend them. They have a nice size selection of clothes that are suitable for work, as well as some casual clothing. They also have maternity panties, nursing bras, panty hose, and swimsuits.
Just don’t go for the magazine subscription pitch when you go to check out (unless you are really going to have time to read the magazines).

I am trying not to buy too many maternity clothes because it can get very expensive for clothes that I am only going to wear for 9 months. I can still get by with some of my regular loose fitting tops, but my dress pants for work was not working anymore. Time to get some maternity pants!
I have always wanted to browse here pre-​pregnancy to see my options for when I do get pregnant but my husband has always steered my clear from the store.
It’s a small stored located in Rice Village. Decent selection of clothing. Lots of designer. Pea in a Pod is the highest end store of their maternity chain. Motherhood = Old Navy. Destination Maternity = Gap (although they do carry a Pea in a Pod brand, good mix of brands/​price range). Pea in a Pod = Banana Republic.
The sales girl helped my pick a couple pairs of pants to try on, they carry petite sizing! Side note: The sales girls can be a bit pushy trying to push items/​products/​magazine subscriptions. Their Secret Fit Belly is AMAZING! It’s full panel so it grows with you during your entire pregnancy. Pants had a great cut, petite small fits me perfectly, nice fabric, and the full panel fabric is soft and stretchy. I’ve tried on maternity pants at other places and it was either tight or too baggy in certain areas or awful fabrics so I was a happy camper when I found pants that fit perfectly at a Pea in a Pod.
I purchased a couple different styles in black and gray. I happened to walk in during one of their sales and didn’t have to pay full price. It’s still pricey, but I figured since I’ll wear it everyday it’s ok to splurge. Hey, it’s so comfortable that it might become my annual I gained some holiday weight pants. Why go back to zippers and buttons when I can have a stretchy panel!!!

I had been to 4 different places looking for maternity clothes. Frustrated by every place I had been to before this because I wasn’t sure what I needed and how to tell if the clothes would fit all the way through. I was in the Rice Village and thought I would check them out. The sales people are so incredibly nice and helpful!!! I unfortunately don’t remember their names. :-(The one that helped me out helped me figure out if an item would last me all the way through or not and helped me pick out outfits. I know have all the items I need for my pregnancy! Thank you ladies!!! I will definitely go back if I determine I need more clothes or it actually drops below 70 in September — November!!!
