Purchased a stereo receiver and a few other items over the years. Was highly satisfied with the staff and the quality/condition of my purchases. Thumbs up and definitely recommend to shoppers.

I have been doing business at this location for over 8 years and the folks have been courteous and helpful 99.9% of the time. It is hard when one is so broke they need to turn in cherished possessions to get a loan and the folks at Action Pawn get this. The manager David has been extremely patient, understanding and supportive when I need an extension on my last day to buy back an item. I’m also quite impressed with how careful the staff is to ensure they are not buying and selling stolen property. The facility is clean and the staff friendly. I hope to be able to purchase a bicycle from them in the not too distant future because they have great deals and treat their customers right!

Very nice people. I shop here at least once a month, looking for jewelry and David, the manager always makes himself available to help. He always gives me a great deal and I will continue to shop here on a regular basis. Keep up the good work!

Rude. Rude. More rude. I get that it’s a pawn shop and negotiating is part of the deal when you walk in, but don’t talk to customers like we are uninformed consumers.

I thought this Talk was hi-larious!!! —– … Really, Patty C. True, I was rude for making a comment about the staffs looks but YOU really don’t want to go there on people’s appearance. You have an issue with me over a negative review I left about a restaurant you like? Grow up and get over it and don’t dare attempt to attack my beauty. You’re doing the same thing you’re so pissed about me doing. So NOONE on Unilocal ever wrote something in the heat of being blinded with anger? I’m totally the only one!!! Unilocal is first and foremost people writing of their experiences at business. Yes, I’m Elite but all that really means is that I’ve written a ton of reviews. I don’t go to any parties or grab freebies, either. I shop and write reviews. The story has bit of details but I’ll try to condense it. I’d never been to pawn shop and only went to this one because an acquaintance got a REALLY nice phone from them and spoke highly. So I go over and they say they’re all out of T-Mobile phones. An employee cons me into buying a tracfone and car charger out of his car. I have my wife go back and she just asks for my money back. He says that you don’t buy crack without getting a receipt and she had no receipt so he didn’t know what she was talking about. Then he says that she was harassing him at his job and to leave. She speaks with the manager/some older gentleman and he says that the exchange didn’t happen in the building so he really doesn’t give a crap. Seriously? Who preys on a young lady’s eagerness for a phone, naïveté about lack of knowledge of WalMart merchandise? A pawn shop, of course and that was my mistake but I expected better of them, especially being in Montrose. Keeping my original review up. «Filth. Trash. I know it’s a pawn shop, but geez. Extremely seedy business goes on here. Buyer beware, you’re highly likely buying stolen merchandise. Employees and management are rude, seedy, dirt that are rude and crass to people that come in. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this pawn shop. Yeah, pawn shop you get what you pay for. Wasn’t aware that meant paying less for other people’s crap meant you risk walking into a crime den and possibly get scabies.»

Ok so it was operation offload some stuff on Saturday… My friend had some extremely large concert speakers, a couple of amps and some other music equipment to get rid of before the big move… We decided to pawn it off, it wasn’t doing anything but sitting in a hot assed attic collecting dust. So we decided it’d be best to get something outta our hard labor int he heat by selling it. The shop itself is typical of most pawn shops: Plenty of instruments, jewelry and the occasional firearms and cameras/ipods… but i liked it because everything was well organized… you need tools? you can find ‘em because they had ‘em organized, even the socket wrenches and sockets were in boxes so you can really find that 5⁄8 socket for the motorcycle you been tryin to fix but were too lazy to go to auto zone to get the stuff… So they took our amps and gave us 50 for both, no ticket, just an ID check. they were friendly, and i know they’d prolly put it on sale there for 50 apiece, but it was still easy money either way… i would check and call to see what they will take before hauling something down there.
