Went today for the first time and I will certainly be back. I went with the first lady who could help me. I didn’t give any instruction and she knew exactly the shape best for me. It was quick and painless. Great customer service too! They also do waxing, but I prefer hard wax not strips, so I passed on the Brazilian. No appt needed.

Wax used was unsafely hot. Left my skin with blisters. The person that waxed me was inexperienced and didn’t wear gloves. When I mentioned that to her, she got offended and pretty much made the rest of the wax experience hellish for me. This was the second time, and they charged me different prices each time! $ 25 the first time and then $ 40 the second (also the last time) for the same service! That is just shady business practice. Just lost a client and a big tipper. I do hope the owner reads this review. But then again, maybe the owner doesn’t care or that is the practice encouraged. Never ever going back. :/​wish I can give zero stars! On to find a long term wax salon!

I had some time to burn on this side of town and decided to swing on in to give threading a try.
It was easy to find and there’s ample parking.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in and escorted directly into a chair. NO WAIT TIME!!!
She knew exactly what I wanted and, I barely felt a thing!
I was not blessed with big, thick brows, but they made me extremely content with having MY brows! I have one brow higher than the other naturally, but you can’t even tell now! She’s the only one that’s ever been able to even me out!!!
I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
I will be back!!!

I get my eyebrows threaded every two weeks by these wonderful ladies! They made me go from short thin eyebrows to having a perfect brow arc with the perfect amount of thickness in it! I would never go anywhere else but here!

Love this place! All the ladies are good. Shazia is the best but now I take whoever because I’m always happy with their work.

I love this place. Shazia is excellent with eyebrow and lip threading. My brows were horrible and now they’re thick and perfectly shaped. She is extremely nice and pleasant. I also love the receptionists, she is friendly and very professional.

Walked in with no appointment on Saturday morning. Lady at counter greeted me right away and asked if I wanted my eyebrows done. I said yes along with my sides. I was shown to the third chair with another lady who wore black uniform. The counter space is tiny so bring a clutch or something smaller. My keys and glasses took over quarter of the counter space.
She did not ask how I wanted my eyebrows. My right side of my forehead and eyelid are red and somewhat puffy. I have been to other places in the past and this the first time I was asked to hold my hand against my own eyelid for her to thread. Then she asked hold down my other eye. It was bit unusual. I had just had my nails done. A few of them got affected by thread that rubbed against my nails. She did ask how I wanted the sides done.
The whole process was also more painful than the other places. At the very end, she asked me I wanted to add something on my face. I told her yes and she placed a liquid on tissue and handed it to me. I applied it on my face. On my way to pick nail polish to correct them. The place is decent if you want a quick no frills eyebrow. If you are looking for a personal approach and less hands on experience keep looking.

Shazia does a good job shaping the eyebrows. I usually walk in with an appointment since I drive half an hour out of my way. It’s usually a quick in and out.

This will be my first and last time going to Beauty and Brow to get my eyebrows threaded!!! I usually don’t write bad reviews, so for me to write this… The experience must of been terrible. First off, I am a male who likes to keep himself clean cut as far as facial hair goes. I have gotten my eyebrows threaded many times before but seeing as I am a college student away from home I had to find somewhere new to go. I went to Beauty and Brow because I saw their rave reviews on the Internet, but as I walked into the place I was greeted with a look of disgust and annoyance. I asked if I could get my eyebrows done, but a Caucasian lady at the front desk denied me and said… WE DONT DO MENS EYEBROWS! Mind you I was with three women who ended up getting their eyebrows done there and I was left with the in-​convince of finding somewhere else to get my eyebrows done. I was embarrassed and above all hurt because this is blatant DISCRIMINATION!!! I asked multiple times if she was serious thinking she would break and realize that this was wrong but she didn’t. I just want to say we live in a world where men get their hands, feet and eyebrows done for upkeep and for a place of service to DISCRIMINATE against someone for their gender etc. is plain WRONG!!! I asked to speak to the owner and it was actually his rule, so there was no help there. All I’m saying is in the world that we live in today there is no reason for any type of DISCRIMINATION especially If you are running a place of service. DONT GO!!! These people don’t stand for progress, but tradition which I think is extremely IGNORANT!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Shazia does wonderful eyebrow threading! I tracked her down from Aisha because she was only one that managed to make my brows appears even.

Overpriced. $ 38 for a full face threading… Other places in Houston only charge $ 25 & probably do a better job on shaping the brows more evenly.
I get that brows are sisters — not twins — but they shouldn’t be lopsided. I have cleaning up to do & I don’t recommend this place…
To make matters worse, other customers in the store were very rude. I will not be returning on future visits to Houston even if it’s an emergency!

After living in Houston for 5 years I finally found a brow place that is consistently amazing! I never make appointments because I never know what’s my schedules going to look like but no matter who I get I always walk out happy! Love this place!

This place is a pretty great place for threading. The lady that did my eyebrows did a thorough job, and the price was also not that expensive. I paid $ 14 total for both eyebrows and upper lip. I’m not sure what the name of the lady who did my threading was, but apparently a lot of people on Unilocal recommend a lady named Shazia for threading.
I will definitely be back here, because the price is very good for the quality of service.

Here’s the thing… I’ve been having my brows threaded since I was a teen. My mom did them when I was home but I’ve been on my own for some time. I’ve been here twice now and both times I’ve had a great experience. Approx 10 for eyebrow thread. I was in and out in less than 20 mins and that was with someone in the chair when I walked in. I will be going back.
On another note… I do not think it is fair to leave a bad review because they do not provide threading services to men. I personally believe it is a cultural/​religious thing. As much of a hassle that can be for men, it does not mean they do not do provide great service.

Deep down any woman would sell her soul to the devil for the perfect «arched» brow. But many women will live an entire lifetime without ever having such an experience.
Beauty and brow specializes in brows. These ladies do it everyday, all day. Shazia is the real MVP tho’. You will have to make an appointment for her at least one week in advance. All other techs are trained by her so just as skillful. Shazia has a long term plan for your brows. My first experience I didn’t quite understand her logic. She explained the formation my brows and how with some work it will grow into its own natural shape which will then require minimal touch-​ups in the future. Too often we seek an immediate solution to a badly damaged brow. There is not an immediate solution — it will take time.

I got my brow threaded by a lady named Pretty. My left brow looks great but my right brow was over plucked. My brow is uneven and now I’ll have to wait for it to grow back out again. I won’t be coming back. If I’m desperate to come back, I would ask not for her.

UPDATE: check out Anisa beauty Salon parlor at Gulfton and hilcroft. She does guys brows for $ 7.
Find some place else to go fellas. They only do ladies. I’m glad I called ahead of time to verify before driving all the way out there. I don’t understand the discrimination against men on this one. If you can do ladies, why can’t you do men? The search continues.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! When I moved to Houston, I decided it was time to do something about my eyebrows. I had never tried threading before but decided to come here after seeing the excellent reviews. I go here every 2 – 3 weeks now. The difference in my eyebrows is noticeable and changed the look of my face in a good way.
The staff is courteous and polite, and the two ladies who thread are both great. Both are sweet and excellent at what they do. I have never made an appointment and have only had to wait once (10 minutes). The threading takes 10 minutes max. I have not had any other services done here, so my review is only relevant to eyebrow threading. At $ 10, you can’t beat this place. There are many closer places in Rice Village that are more expensive, but I will continue to go here.

Best eyebrow threading in Houston! After two failed attempts– leaving uneven & annoying eyebrows I discovered Shazia. Now I constantly get compliments on my perfectly shaped but not over skinny eyebrows.
The good: Cute little studio. $ 10 brows. Shazia is amazing & my eyebrows are always on point leaving there. Plus she does them with your face shape, the same brows don’t look good on everyone. Duh. She finishes up cleaning your brows with a little witch hazel on a cotton ball rather then god knows what some of those other ladies are putting on your face ie (Stingy-​ouchy-​liquid).
The bad: This chick is busy! You have to make an apt if you don’t want to wait forever. There are other ladies there who thread but I’m sticking to the one I trust.

My twin sister opened my eyes to the value of a beautifully shaped eyebrow. I remember woefully the day when my cousin taught me how to pluck, and I attacked my eyebrows with a voraciousness that should be reserved for poultry about to be cooked and eaten.
As a result of years of haphazard plucking, my thin eyebrows never seemed even. After I complimented her lush eyebrows, my sister marched me straight to the nearest highly Unilocal rated place. All of the Beauty and Brow staff are kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. They take you seriously as you talk about trying to grow your eyebrow hairs out, which is probably not an easy feat.
I’ve returned to them several times, and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Excellent customer service, and affordable. Plus, my eyebrows look fantastic, and my expression is no longer permanently one of surprise and shock :)
