Dr. Powell is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who does a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Because of his 20+ years in practice, much of what he does is secondary surgery to improve or correct problems patients have with previous cosmetic surgery done elsewhere.

He has boutique practice — limited appointment numbers — that allows him to spend more time with each patient. Having trained with the inventor of the breast implant, he has always done a large number breast cases, including enlargement, reduction, uplift, reconstruction, as well as treating complications of these procedures. He also does an equally large number of eye lid surgery cases. Other facial procedures include facelift, sector lifts, and facial fat grating.

He and his cosmetologist do a variety of non-​surgical procedures to freshen and enhance skin quality. These include a variety of office peels, injectables, like Botox & Juvederm, and permanent make-​up and natural-​looking spray tanning.

Established in 1980.

Dr. Powell trained at Stanford University, Duke Med, Emory (general and plastic surgery) and concluded his plastics training here in Houston. He is a member of local, state, and national plastic surgery organizations. He has also served as President of both the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of both the International College of Surgeons and the Royal Society of Medicine. Long interested in art, he studied art and sculpture for seven years and is an accomplished photographer.
