Evening front desk girl and the modern and clean room are the only reasons for 2 stars. The rooms are clean and nice, but the walls are thin. The woman who welcomed us was kind and friendly. After a late night of flights, we get to hear the housekeeper gossip at 8 something in the morning. After realizing it wasn’t just morning guests, I called the front desk to ask if they could keep it down. The housekeepers sounded like they had just left the club and we’re chatting about the events of the night. The reason this stay went so poor so quickly is how the morning front desk staff handled it. Not a sorry miss, I will ask them to keep it to a minimum, but they are working and they have to communicate. However it was a no I can’t do that. They are working so they have to yell across the halls. Not even a single apology just a poor attitude and it almost made me feel I was at fault for booking here after a late arrival. So if you don’t need to sleep past 8 am not a bad stay, but if you value sleep and quite stays keep searching.

I have been here for just a night. The lobby and the rooms are clean and modern, nothing to complain here. However, the rooms are feeling very humid which gave me sometimes a hard time with breathing. You can’t open the windows so I recommend the turn up the AC for some time so it gets«dried» out a bit. There are some vending machines if you need something to drink, however, they were all out of order on every floor and I had to buy something at the Hotel«mini market» which was more expensive. The Hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport and you are able, after some back and forth talking, to arrange a late check-out.

This place is terrible. They represent the best western brand in a horrible way. The front desk lady lost my credit card to start. Apparently another front desk girl ran off with it and tried to give it to another guest. They SUCKUNPROFESSIONAL. I BELEIVETHEIRBF’s are just waiting around out front smoking. Mangers are doing a poor job. If I owned this place I would not be proud. Bad choice.

This hotel is ok. It gets the job done. There is a odor throughout the halls and rooms that smells like air conditioning or something. The front desk folks seem to not give a damn in the evening, as I get your hear for a check and its late. However that made a sour impression on me being a newbie to Houston and the Best Western brand. I would stay again but just not this location.

Where do I start? Showed up after waiting at the airport for 6 hours, having my flight cancelled after 10 pm, waiting on hold for 30 minutes to try and get the hotel voucher from the airline, making an online reservation at the wrong hotel, walking down the flooded sidewalk of the highway to this hotel and it took over an hour to get checked in!!! Mind you, I’d made the reservation online already. That was how long it took to check in the 7 or 8 people in front of me. Part of the problem may have been the fact that there were two people on duty, one of whom seemed to be new, and one of them would go off somewhere for 10 minutes at a time. I’m so exhausted, all I want to do is go to sleep and here I stand, watching the painfully slow process as I have NEVER seen it in my life. Updated this morning: rumor is lightning took out the electricity and they had to do everything by hand, couldn’t even get a receipt when I checked out. Of course no one mentioned this and that might explain part of the delay, but here’s customer service tip #1: communicate, communicate, communicate. #2: apologize and try to make up for it-free night, discount on next stay, whatever… Room was fine-hot as a/c was off but did the job.

I have stayed here many, many, many times as a corporate client. It has historically represented good value for my company and its location is excellent if you need to be a) close to the airport and b) able to walk to food options.(The included free breakfast is wretched, but most are these days. No points deducted for that.) However, I was given a room with a swampy air conditioner this time around. This happens – it’s a fairly common issue in extremely humid places like Houston – but when I asked to switch rooms, I received not only a refusal, but an incredibly rude and sarcastic refusal. I mean – unmistakably full of venom. The hotel has many rooms available, I was told, but my company only blocks a certain number, and to waste an additional room on ME was totally out of the question. This place is deserted – there is no way they are over 50% tonight. No weather in Houston to make distressed passengers a factor. Basically, eff you. I feel this is probably a case of over familiarity with the front desk dealing with the specific needs of my corporate group – we can be high-maintenance at times – but I certainly hold myself to a very high standard of conduct when I’m dealing with anyone, especially when I’ve got my work face on. I don’t like being treated like that. If you can stay at the Doubletree or the Sheraton, you’re proximal to the same restaurants – JFK is much easier to cross now that they’ve installed pedestrian-friendly lights. You might spend a bit more. But you are much less likely to get the shoddy treatment I did by the amateur-hour front desk. Go elsewhere if you have the choice. Sadly, I don’t.

Was stranded in Houston overnight and was trying to find a place last minute. In the middle of my chaotic night Best Western at JFK was a pleasant surprise. I was a bit worried seeing that this place has no reviews and this seemed to be the only place with a reasonable price tag that still had rooms available. Place is new with nice clean décor. The staff is also very very friendly. Sam at night was very helpful. When I called from the airport she checked to make sure that I could get contact solution. Also I told them to pick me up from the wrong terminal, had to call the airport back and let them know. They were very nice about it. I was grateful that both the driver and Sam were very nice about it. This was my first time being stranded I’m a city and I can see it having gone a lot worse than it did. But props to the staff at Best Western. Thank you.
