Went for a party with my fraternity. It was off the gancho! But as a club I do think it could hold its own considering we took half the space in the place for some of the night. Lot of fun. Cool swinging chairs for dancers.

I often frequent this place and it is always a hit or miss when i go. It depends on who is doing the promotion that night and the DJ who is spinning there. The cover is usually reasonable but the drinks aren’t cheap. If you want cheap drinks, hit the bars.

Ask me why I came here? Seriously… Ok I was buzzing and buzzing really hard. This place sucked as always and well it needs some major endorsements or something because it just seems to fail bad. The cover charge was only $ 10, which should be normal but if it were my club I would only charge $ 5 at it’s current shape, if anything free entry, thus so yo can buy some drinks to encourage more drinking, but no I ended up here asking Id’s because I was not sure if they are at least 21+. I felt old for the first time. It was nice in a sense that there were 3 to 1 ratio women to men. Well If your under 21 and under this should be your spot but for a 25 and up not the place.

Just because a girl gives up sweets for Lent, doesn’t mean she can’t indulge in a little Candy, right? Okay, that comment was lame, just like their $ 20 cover charge on Thursday’s hip hop night. «$ 20 dollars?! Are you for serious?» I shouted in utter disgust. Three girls = $ 60 … that’s half our bar tab.(Did I mention that we can drink?) So as we started to walk off, the promoter came around and insisted that we go in to check it out. We did — and we never came back out. Whoops. Booty was rockin’ everywhere, the music that is. Not many people dancing on the dance floor, except Farrah & Company in our Rodeo gear. Totally out of place, but everyone was cool. The bar manager even gave us a round of shots to pair with our delicious Cosmo. Dunno why the sudden craving, but it helped kick off the night. And oh, shit! Is that Slim Thug? Hell yeah it was. He was chillin’ «Like A Boss» in VIP, so I convinced his publicist to introduce. She did. He gladly took pics with us, but when I tried to make him wear my cowgirl hat, he wasn’t havin’ it, and he and his crew bounced. Double whoops. Conclusion? Helluva lot better than Epic. I’m sure their other nights with no cover are better.

I came recently for their opening night. Like Kristine said the place was empty. I came around midnight and there was only about 30 people total inside and out. This place has replaced the old epic but has kept most of the same employees as I recognized the bartenders and door people from Epic. This place reminded me of rocbar but smaller. The way the girls were dressed reminded me of something out of a britney spears video. The swings weren’t being used when I was there since the crowd wasn’t packing the club I guess the girls were resting. Like Kristine said, once this place picks up I could see this place being the new midtown hotspot. Right now the dress code was relaxed but the door guys even said once it starts picking up better bring your dress shoes!

This place has replaced the old Epic. I think it just opened up a few/several weeks or so ago. My crew and I rolled in at about 11:30 and the place was E-M-P-T-Y. :(I was confused because there were hot beats pumping but a completely empty dance floor(and venue in general) with two girls perched on swings above the bar. They didn’t look very happy being there. The female uniforms are a black corset, push up bra, ruffly panties, and stockings. A dual meaning for candy I suppose. The décor is sleek. Definitely an upgrade from Epic. It’s black accented with some fuchsia and laser lights. Once this place spreads word, I have a feeling the dance floor will be too small to accommodate. There’s areas for lounging and I’m assuming for future bottle service. There still have the outdoor patio area with gas lamps. Two bars: 1 in the front accessible from patio and inside; 2nd in the back. Too hard to tell for now! But this place has potential!
