Quaint little restaurant with delicious breakfast. Mimosa’s were awesome and service was great. Will definitely come back again.

My mom had never had chicken and waffles before so we were searching around town for the best selection. Didn’t have to wait for a table at 10am on a Saturday morning and had the best service. Gus and David were our waiter’s and took great care of us! I highly recommend this place!

Good place to get brunch. I had a dish with cornbread and the cornbread was really dry, but everything else I’ve had here is very good!

We visited Dry Creek on at 10am on a Saturday morning. There were 12 of us and we were seated in one of the outside patios. Our server was Kevin and he did a marvelous job taking care of us. We were pleased when our meals all arrived at the same time. Not only was our server and meal great but the manage David also made a couple of trips out to talk to us. I have the Cornbread Benedict. The eggs were poached just right and the cornbread was awesome. We were all truly delighted.

What a charming rustic café in the center of Houston! Great service from our sweet & attentive young waitress. Delicious chicken sandwich, ample portion size with thick bacon. Yum! You don’t find that everyday. My girlfriend loved her salad as well. We’ll be back for sure

Listen up… This is probably the best place for a Late Sunday start. The food is insanely great and the coffee and orange juice is top notch. The girlfriend and I shared a waffle and some breakfast tacos, only cost us around $ 20. The wait staff is busy, but they’re great and fun people.

This is the type of food you just want to tell people about. This small but awesome spot is cute, the staff member that waited on us gave us a spectacular first time visit, young guy can’t remember his name. We ordered the philly cheese fries, people… order these! They are actually big, sooooo order with caution. LOL the entrée and even salad… I just want to tell everybody.

Good service, good food and nice atmosphere. You need to get a special club card(one-time) before ordering any alcoholic drink(because it is a ‘dry’ area of town). Had a great breakfast. The atmosphere/decorations are very cheap and casual, but it’s put together well and is relaxing and simple. You feel like you are in a very rural area and the place has character.

Triple bypass is the way to go with the egg and grilled onion. Place reminds me of Austin :)

Great service. Small menus but cool place to hang in the heights. Had a few beers and tried the philly steak fries. Had to join«the Club»(for free) because it’s a «dry area» what? I thought this was Texas, home of Longhorns and Longnecks! Friendly staff!

Very good sandwiches, vegetarian burger, and breakfast. Barbacoa mac and cheese is another winner definitely worth a try. The beer selection is very lean, but the atmosphere sitting outside can be very relaxing. Not the biggest menu or beer selection, but what they do, they do well.

Like all«Creek» locations, this place is quality. Despite the name, this place is not dry. Went for brunch and had their mimosas which were light and delicious. I got the chicken sandwich and it was juicy and perfectly cooked. My only complaint was that our waitress was awful, however, she may have been new or something because the manager was really attentive and made sure to pick up her slack. Despite that, I will definitely go back soon. Parking can be a little tough as the lot got full quickly and had to find a spot on the street.

We went here for brunch on a weekend, and the food was really good. I also really liked sitting outside on the patio.

Amazing breakfast! I had the cornbread benedict. Poached eggs, bacon, roasted tomatoes, and hollandaise sauce all on top of cornbread. OMG one of the best breakfast meals I’ve ever had.

I stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday with a group of friends, and let me tell you that this place is awesome! The drink of the day was a frozen strawberry lemonade with champagne and I paired this with their Bavarian Bleu burger and philly fries. All of the above tasted great. Our server Kevin was a sweet heart and the GM David came and checked in on us. I will definitely be coming back to this little gem!

Beer was warm, mineral water in bottle was warm. Brussel Sprouts were really good. I could eat another order. It was well seasoned with caramelized onions, not too sweet raisins, and slightly spicy. Original burger was bit dry, came with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions. Potato salad was good. Parking can be slightly tight depending on time of day. Patio area available and sign says«no dogs allowed.» Two style of patio seating option with wooden table bench or iron patio seating. Staff was attentive in the beginning. It started to a go in a different direction towards end of meal. Burger comes with side of mayo.

A friend and I recently decided to hit up Dry Creek Café, a restaurant in Houston’s Heights neighborhood. I’ve been to Canyon Creek, Onion Creek, Cedar Creek, and Lowbrow, but never to Dry Creek. I sincerely love all of their other bars/restaurants and excellent food, so I was excited to try this one! We started off by splitting the crispy brussels, which are served with a creamy serrano sauce. The perfectly toasted brussels sprouts were tossed with golden raisins and red onions, which gave them a wonderful sweet/sharp contrast of flavors. While the creamy serrano sauce added a soft, light tang to the sprouts, they were awesome enough on their own to do without! For my main round of food I ordered the goat cheese salad. Roasted garlic, creamy goat cheese, sweet pear, and candied pecans were served atop a bed of spinach. I opted to enjoy my salad with the recommended side of honey mustard dressing. This light, playful salad was just what I needed. The creamy, mild goat cheese muted some of the sweetness from the other elements of the salad, and the candied pecans offered a wonderful dose of texture and naughtiness. And how can you not completely adore something that contains pieces of whole roasted garlic in it? Much like the other Creek Group restaurants, Dry Creek Café did not disappoint. The relaxed patio is a great spot to enjoy one of these beautiful Houston spring days. The food is simple — yet thoughtful, well-prepared, fresh, and delicious. I’m happy to now have it on my ever-growing list of Houston lunch spots!

I am such a fan of this hidden gem! I go every time I am in the area for breakfast. But their lunch and dinner plates are amazing as well. Service is good but the food is GREAT!!! Egg sandwich all the way!!! :) If you’re trying to be healthy get the Funky Chicken! So good! It got a 5 star rating from me because this homey place has great food and staff members that have been there quite a while that adds a feel of familiarity!!!

A great first dining experience at one of the Creek restaurants. There are several in our neighborhood but they are always packed so we usually move on… but we lucked out this morning at Dry Creek. I can see that parking at this place could be a nightmare but when we showed up around 9:45AM, there were plenty of spaces still available. Even though it was decently busy, we were seated right away and saw that there was an eclectic mix of people seated which usually signifies overall good food. We both started with Café Sua Da, which is Dry Creek’s interpretation of Vietnamese iced coffee. I thought it was pretty outstanding although it was missing the initial bitter bite that I’m used to however it was still a lovely sweet treat to start the morning on. The boyfriend ordered the Big Mama’s plate with the hash nuggets, sausage and french toast. I was very impressed with the hash nuggets(or more commonly called home fries) — they were crispy but light and fluffy. And while I didn’t steal a bite of the french toast, the boyfriend thought they were outstanding. I ordered the crab cakes and I was equally impressed. Lots of crab meat, good flavor, and the hollandaise sauce was deliciously spicy. I actually poured the remainder on my over medium eggs, which were also cooked perfectly. The staff was very welcoming and several people besides our waiter made time to drop by our table and ask if we needed anything or how our food was. Overall, I know this place is bustling most of the time and the parking situation is not ideal. BUT, our experience tells us this is a place that knows the menu and makes it well. The food is not overly pretentious, but it is yummy and done very well. We will be back!

My most recent visit was for Sunday brunch with the girls. We met at 11am and were able to snag a covered table outside, and we didn’t have trouble finding parking either. Things moved a little slow, but since it was girls brunch we didn’t mind as it gave us more time to catch up. Our waitress was super nice. I tried the Migas, which was really good except it didn’t come with enough salsa in my opinion(next time I’ll order extra!) The potato and cheese flautas were really good(I was skeptical, but they were great.) I got a side of the cheesy grits since my friend was raving about them and they did not disappoint. Everyone else at the table seemed happy with their orders. One friend got the potatoes on the side and they looked super crispy and tasty. As we waited for our food to come out we were offered 2 or 3 different orders that belonged to other tables, so that made the servers seem confused… They are not BYOB anymore. If you order alcohol they scan your ID or you join their group or something(I’m not totally sure) but since they are in the dry area of the Heights that’s what they have to do to be able to serve alcohol.

Went to Dry Creek for brunch this morning! I love that serve breakfast or brunch starting at 7 am every morning! My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles — he liked it, but not as much as the plate he had at Down House recently! I tried the Nitty Gritty — cheese grits, two fried eggs, and two pieces of cornmeal crusted white fish. The fish was great, but the eggs and grits were just okay.(To be fair, I’m super picky about both of those things!) Cool indoor and outdoor seating. Great service! Affordable prices! We just had coffee, but they have a great beer selection and some great brunch cocktails! We weren’t in love with everything on our plates, but I liked Dry Creek enough to go back and try more food there!
