Horrible costumer service. And food at 9:30am looks stale. With the many other options in the medical center for Filipino food I will not be returning.

I don’t know where the«regular» person that cook is(RC) but the food doesn’t taste«right» since he hasn’t been here. It’s actually kinna grross! I’m only gonna come back to buy my package noodles, not eating here until RC comes back.

My friend is in m d Anderson hospital. They have no way of picking up the food from Godo s. Guess what? I called Godo s and asked it they are going to run errands around there. We were blessed! They are and since I explained the dilemma of the sick wanting to eat chicken mami, they willingly took the order and delivered. The patient and husband was so thankful and their gratitude was beyond measure that tears of joy was experienced. Thank God for Godo s for being such a servant.

We frequently order from here at work. We get the pancit, lumpia, and the pork and chicken dish… they are all amazing! We love this place. The family style to go portions are huge so that’s why it may be on the pricey side. They make it fresh when it is to go. I highly recommend it. My Filipino coworker says it is a bit Americanized but he likes it and recommends it all of the time! They are great with delivery time for the med center …BUT then I went to eat here… NEVER again. The staff almost acted as if I didn’t exist, it was buffet style and the food was not fresh and I got there around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. I expected the dine in food to be as great as order out and it was awful. They just seem to be worried about their delivery service and bakery and it just seems like they should close the dine-in portion down. Honestly if a health inspector stopped here it wouldn’t even pass. No longer a fan of this place. And I would be so embarrassed to bring anyone to this dump.

This review is SOLELY based of the lumpias(egg rolls). Godo’s is our number one go-to location for every party or get together. We always bring these egg rolls because their flavor is on-point and the dough is the perfect crisp. They have no after taste and absolutely addicting. 50 egg rolls for about $ 20. If you get nothing, just get the egg rolls and run!

Oh man where to start. I have been on here a few times. Went with my filipino in laws first for LBC boxes. They are like the only place in Houston that sell boxes to ship to the Philippines for pasalubong. They most definitely take their time. A lot of it to get things going so expect to wait. There is no sense of urgency. Imagine you are in the Philippines when you go here. You will understand what type of mindset you need to be in so be patient. My in laws would not let me eat here because of how the food looked and presentation so I can only speak about the service and getting boxes. Just be prepared to wait a lot and once you get the boxes, if they have them, they will have to figure out how to ring them up. The younger guy who works the counter during the week is not friendly at all so don’t expect much out of him.

Interesting Filipino buffet. Not super big, but enough choices that I was satisfied. It’s about $ 10 a person so not a bad deal. The food was pretty good, but it would have been nice if there were labels so I knew what I was eating. I’m game to back.

I didn’t try their buffet but instead I ordered. Their food was very delicious. I ordered kare-kare, pinakbet, and beef caldereta. Although, rice wasn’t included. Rice is like a dollar per scoop. I didn’t like their sago. It tasted like water. But, their halo-halo was so good! It was filled with a lot of nata de coco, bananaque, etc. Their food was a little bit pricey, but it was worth it.

First of all the food is great, very good. The problem is the place. As soon as you enter the place it feels like you are stuck in the 80s. The lighting is ridiculous and the seats and messy. They even made preparation of the food in the table where people dine I mean cmon. Overall they need to rebuild or renovate the place. I guess this is common for most Filipino restaurant everywhere they always slice on the quality

This is the place for Filipino Breakfast!!! Longsilog and garlic rice… That’s what I’m talking about. The bakery is pretty awesome, too.

I love Filipino food though I have no idea what the names of the dishes are other than Adobo chicken. I like Filipiana’s buffet on Bissonnet and 59 because they have more soups and vegetables but Godo is really good too and so close to my house and work. There are TV’s and lots of people eating alone but quiet enough that you could totally hang out with friends and have good conversation. The lunch was $ 7.50 before tax.

Pretty disappointing is all I can say. I remember back in the day when coming here for breakfast was a treat. I came here fairly recently(maybe a month and a half ago), and I was not very happy. My brother, sister-in-law, and I came for breakfast… The waitress got our order wrong, even after repeating it to make sure she got it right. The food was good-ish but very greasy. We also had my little nephew, and they ordered the buffet for him because he likes some of the finger foods they offered. Aside from being greasy, it was cold. The service was pretty bad, too. We don’t know if it’s because we were a «young» table, but our waitress and the rest of the staff never checked on us or even tried to be nice. When it came time to pay, the line was very long and service was very slow. It didn’t help that the cashier got into it about the price of the food with the people in front of us in line. Sad face.

Looking to get some filipino breakfast, I headed to Godo’s after making my way to their competitor in Holcombe and realizing that they were closed. I should of have just went home after waiting in line. I ordered the tocilog and now– my stomach is not feeling so well. The sinangang was dry(sign of old rice), the tocino had the texture of being baked or steamed, and the egg was over hard. I took a couple of bites and just left. I am usually a supporter of Filipino establishments in the Greater Houston Area, but this experience ruined this establishment for me.

I don’t think it’s mind-blowing good but it’s not horrible. The times I’ve been to this restaurant the service has been good. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it’s bad. Food is served buffet style. The TV has newscasts from the Phillippines and they do sell imported products. I think the food is decent enough to come back too.

Their weekday buffets are fresh and quite good — probably the best of the Filipino buffets in town. I like that their lugaw is already flavorful and not bland, so no need to flavor it yourself with soy sauce. They have all the staples(even dinuguan!) and rotate every day, so if you don’t find something that you wanted, just come back another day. I came in here with a coworker for lunch, and everyone in there stared at us. Maybe because I wasn’t dressed like a doctor or nurse? Is it really that rare to find a Filipino in the Med Center who’s not in the medical field? Not the restaurant’s fault of course — just kind of creepy.

Me and a friend went there around 7.25 am. The staff greeted us very quickly and i choose to eat the buffet while my friend ordered from the menu. The food was great and my friend food looked good and delicious. Next time i will try and order from the menu and buy some bakery items.

This is my go-to for potluck eggrolls now. The lumpia(Filipino eggrolls) are the perfect size for a party(about the size of my index finger). They sell them at 100 pieces for $ 22. In smaller orders, they sell them at 25 pieces for $ 5.95. I cam here for the lunch buffet with some coworkers. It was a hit! Cheap and a lot of options for food. It’s a snout to tail kind of place(they use every part of the animal in their cooking). I really enjoyed the variety. Everyone is really friendly too. Don’t expect ‘Chinatown” customer service. *side note — I wouldn’t recommend the fresh lumpia. It was bland. Why go with fresh anyway when you can go with FRIED?!
