Jollibee’s is fast becoming a fast-food favorite. As far as first impressions go, the wonderful person at the drive-thru window was kind, courteous, and patient. I couldn’t quite make out the menu because of a blinding(kinda, but not really, enough to obscure the menu) glare and asked what kind of burgers they had — without missing a beat, the lady at the register described each burger beautifully. I would go back just for the service. The food was delicious for standard fare. I had the Yum burger(?), fries, and the much-lauded Peach-Mango Pie. Yup, Peach-Mango pie is definitely a potential 1:00am, need-it-now, will-pay-dollars craving. Go forth and be filled.

Let me start off by saying I was very confused about this establishment but my boyfriend explained to me how it’s a big deal for Filipinos and there’s only 1 in Texas(well when they first opened not sure about now). Anyways, I was starving and I was down to try something new. I ordered the C1 which came with 2 chicken and 1 side– I opted for the mashed potato with pineapple juice. The fried chicken was actually really good and the mashed potatoes weren’t bad either. The best part about the fried chicken is that it’s not greasy! The best part of this whole meal was the pineapple juice. I don’t know if its from a can or what the heck but it was really good! I still think the whole concept is weird if you aren’t familiar with it. Like spaghetti and mashed potatoes with fried chicken? Either way it was pretty good! If I’m ever in the area and hangry like I was yesterday then I would definitely stop by again!

I came here because I heard this is a popular chain from overseas. This is a unique experience from what I usually get from an american chain.

This is my second time since they opened. First visit was disappointing. Since it’s been years, I decided to give it a second chance. Came on a Sunday night. Service was slow for a fastfood chain. Line was long at the ordering counter but there were a lot of empty tables. Chicken was not crispy as I expected. I had to request to replace it. The replacement was a little bit crispy but oily. Palabok was good, taste authentic. I’d probably not return. Not recommended. Not like Jollibee in the Philippines.

For a fast food restaurant, Jollibee is the !!! Everything that I had was so good that I even forgot to take pictures! I had the Spaghetti with a piece of crispy chicken(Chickenjoy). The Spaghetti was delicious but a little too sweet, which is odd because why would a spaghetti dish be sweet at all, right? For the chicken, the skin was crispy but on the inside it’s juicy and tender. And the seasoning is not as salty as some other places. The brown dipping sauce that came with it was so yummy! I also tried their Chicken Sotanghon Soup and loved it! It’s got vermicelli, pieces of chicken, some veggies and herbs, and a slice of egg. It reminded me of eating a really good ramen soup. The Halo Halo drink is more like a dessert, the kind that you can get at Bambu dessert & drinks. If you do get a drink with your combo, try the excellent pineapple juice instead of regular soda drinks. Finally, do not skip the Peach Mango Pie or else you’ll regret it! Think of it as an egg roll with sweet fillings. To summarize, I would choose Jollibee over McDonald’s any day! The only bad thing that I have to say about the menu is that it’s lacking greens/salads.

First of all, I’m Filipino and I love Filipino food. I came here craving for some good olé SPICY fried chicken with rice straight from the Motherland. Upon ordering, I was informed that they discontinued the spicy option. And if you prefer white meat like I do, you would have to wait an additional 18 mins for it to be ready which I thought was ridiculous considering this was supposed to be a fast food place that offers CHICKEN and burgers. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

The food is good, but the price and the service is horrible. There’s always a long wait to get your food and they tend to forget your order as well. I ordered an extra chicken to my N2(spaghetti & chicken joy combo) and they gave me my extra chicken but they forgot my chicken with my spaghetti. I was just like well… That extra chicken is not extra anymore.

If you didnt grow up in a Filipino household and arent familiar with the chain in the first place, I apologize but it probably will be a ho-hum experience for you. Jollibee for me epitomizes my childhood– when all I thought about was whether or not my Mom would find out that I threw all my barbies because I chopped all the hair deeming them useless to 6 year old me or if I get to spend summer at the beach with my favorite cousins or at the ancestral home of my father where I will be bored out of my mind. My favorites are the chickenjoy(obvi!), spaghetti and the peach mango pie! The food is definitely tailored to fit Filipino taste buds. It probably wont hold a candle to your favorite fried chicken recipe but thats okay. The spaghetti for sure will be weird for the unfamiliar because Pinoy spaghetti tend to be on the sweet side. If you dont want to try either there are burgers on the menu that might satisfy you or try the halo-halo. It was good enough for Anthony Bourdain so Im sure itll hit the spot for you, too! In closing, I do find it harsh when people hate on the food. Jollibee evoke so many fond memories for me and for alot of Filipinos. Its okay if you dont like it… Just dont say its the worse because it really isnt.

Zero stars if possible, came in at 8, there was no more chicken and they would not fry anymore. This place closes at 10. 2 hours before closing time and they wouldn’t make more chicken? Absolutely ridiculous. I live all the way by Bush airport and drove over 30 minutes to get here and I was meeting my brother who drove all the way from Baton Rouge, Lousiana, mind you it’s over four hours, and they would not give us chicken. I will not be returning to this establishment ever again. I will also tell my family and friends about this incident. Never again, Jollibee, NEVERAGAIN.

My first time visiting Jollibee was in Manilla when I went to the Philippines to visit family with my mother. My mom kept raving about this place saying that it was the McDonalds of the Philippines. So of course I tried it; sweet spaghetti with pieces of hot dog and hot crisp fried chicken. Nothing spectacular, but the fact that my mom can now having hot fresh food from a place that gives her sweet memories of home without have to travel via plane 20 hours is totally awesome. Prices are pretty steep. Good halo halo! I will have to try other things in the future.

liiiiike can you see why Filipinos flock from all directions to this SINGLE location in Texas? I have friends that travel hours just to come here. you can tell from every person ordering probably $ 100 worth of fried chicken just to take home. first off, staff are friendly and patient help people who aren’t too familiar with the menu figure out what to get. interior is modern and CLEAN and very surprisingly and pleasantly does NOT smell like the inside of a KFC, despite their main item is fried chicken. now about that fried chicken… my favorite part about it was that it wasn’t greasy; in fact the paper box that it came in didn’t even have a single grease stain! the skin was fried to perfection to where there wasn’t too much fat or grease underneath it, so i went ahead and ate the whole thing. the chicken was moist and flavorful and i could tell it was fresh. all chicken was served with dipping gravy, which i was a huge fan of. skip the fries as a side, however: they were pretty blah. I also ordered the pancit/palabok and it was pretty comparable to restaurant quality palabok I’ve had elsewhere. Prices weren’t cheap but they were reasonable, and the food is definitely quality. will be back to try the halo halo and the dipping strips. took us about halfway through the visit to realize Chickenjoy was like chick-enjoy LOL

I came to Jollibee for the first time a while back, and I’m not sure if I will end up returning unless I have a friend who drags me back here! It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it, but I just don’t think it was worth all the hype. I’ve never really had Filipino food before, so the flavors really took me by surprise. The spaghetti was extremely sweet and I was only able to finish it because I was supa supa hungry. The fried chicken just tasted like regular fried chicken. If you’ve never been and are looking for an interesting place to try, I’d recommend for you to check it out. I wouldn’t say to expect anything TOO special, but I know it’s got lots of Filipino staples!

Came here for lunch with my wife on a weekday. We both got the fried chicken and it was fresh, tasty, and just perfect in my book. I got buttered corn on the side that was also quite good. I usually don’t drink sweetened drinks but got the ube tapioca pearl cooler and it was just great. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I am knocking a star off for customer service as the clerk would not make eye contact and seemed generally out of it. I am accustomed to to Filipinos smiling and interacting well so this seemed unusual. We had to ask three different times and were through eating by the time my wife finally got her Halo-Halo, which she rated as just so-so. The place was not at all busy so that was not a factor. I have not been here enough to know if that is the norm or unusual. In summary, we will definitely return for the food and were satisfied with our lunch.

Been a month or two since I checked in this place, halo halo seems to have lost all its ingredients… Its just ice and mongon bean in it than the original halo halo first time round

I find the food average… Probably because I’m not Filipino. I skipped ordering the burgers bc it looked so plain and not appetizing from the pictures. I didn’t really enjoy the food. I just felt I can go to popeyes or frenchy’s for fried chicken. And the spaghetti was okay. I don’t like my food sweet nor my spaghetti sweet. The spam sandwich was the worst. I like spam. I cook spam and eggs at home all the time. The spam looked like it WAS old and it didn’t taste like spam. It was served on toasted bun and mayo… However, I enjoyed the halo halo. It was a sweet summer treat. So if I do go back to Jolliebee, it will be for the halo halo or fried chicken if I’m craving friend chicken. Oh and there was gravy, we forgot about to dip the chicken with it. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t special or anything.

Growing up in California, I was ecstatic when Jollibee opened up. The food reminded me of the fast food joints in the homeland and the food was delicious. Now, as an adult, Jollibee no longer interests me as much as it did before. There are a few gripes I have regarding Jollibee USA: the long wait and high prices. All Jollibee locations I’ve experienced in the USA are all plagued by the above issues. The wait for the food order line is typically long and is understandable to a certain extent. To me, it is not acceptable when there is only one staff member at the cash registers when the line extends over 5 people. I really think that Jollibee should have a better process in place to get orders and people moving quickly. It is a fast food restaurant isn’t it? In my experience at this Houston location, they had one person manning the cash register and multiple staff getting orders ready. The line at the register piled up and the food was not coming out quickly enough leaving the food runners doing nothing at certain points. McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King(albeit not ALL locations) have a pretty good system going and they can get orders moved quickly. It just puzzles me that Jollibee cannot get to the same standard as a fast food restaurant. To top it all off, the prices are way overpriced to be considered fast food in my opinion. One of the promotions that they were running during my visit in July was two dishes for about $ 5-$ 6. They dubbed it super affordable but I still found it overpriced. I ordered the spaghetti and chicken dippers which came out to half of a regular spaghetti order and two small pieces of chicken fingers, definitely not worth $ 6. On another day, I visited Jollibee for breakfast and ordered a breakfast tapa. When the order came out, I was extremely disappointed in the reduction of size of their breakfast items. From previous experiences in California, the Jollibee breakfast was served in a size similar to Chinese take-out Styrofoam boxes whereas during my most recent visit, I received mine in a box half the size with half the portion of food. The price for this was also $ 6. Very disappointing. A few positives for this specific Houston location: they have free coffee for breakfast, they serve all items for breakfast times(chicken joy or spaghetti for breakfast anyone?). The place is also very clean and modern. I appreciate the setting that they provided for this location. To me, Jollibee will always have a special place in my heart and taste buds. The chicken joy and gravy is great and I will always crave Jollibee spaghetti. I just wish the USA locations could be just as great as the Philippine locations.

Jollibee is the McDonald’s of the Philippines. Leave it to them to come up with a fast food restaurant that serves hamburgers, fried chicken and spaghetti. If you don’t understand it, then chances are you’re not Filipino. Is this going to be the greatest food in the world? No. Is it going to be revered by a bunch of Filipino-Americans? Yes. This bee is just a little taste of home in a country that still hasn’t the slightest clue of who we truly are. Joy Chicken is fried chicken with rice and gravy. Not mashed potatoes, not biscuits. You’re not supposed to pour the gravy in the rice either like it is mashed potatoes. The meat is fatty and the gravy can only be compared to Tomas All Purpose sauce. But the skin is crispy and combined with rice makes any Filipino missing the good days thankful that they drove out to a freaking Jollibee and waited 10 minutes for it since they’re made to order. The spaghetti is slightly sweet and topped with orange cheese. There are bits of sliced up hot dogs in it as well, but it simply is what it is: spaghetti the Filipino way, just with a fast food wand waved over it. One of the more traditional dishes, pancit palabok(or what they call fiesta noodles) is covered in shrimp sauce and dried shrimp flakes. It’s wonderfully salty and comes with two thin boiled egg slices. Pat Baby compares palabok to eating mucous pancit because the sauce is rather thick. I call it my favorite type of pancit ever and also one of the more out there dishes at Jollibee(I haven’t found any non-Filipino that enjoys this dish). I definitely wouldn’t recommend the hamburgers unless you’re into soft play dough bread and are drunk. If you’re here to experience Filipino food, this also isn’t the place to get some. Jollibee is where you go to experience the«Filipino Way». Maybe after a few visits you too will come to understand it.

Jollibee is the McDonald’s of the Philippines. It’s a fast food chain serving hamburgers, spaghetti, fried chicken, and other Filipino dishes. When this place first opened there was a line several hours long. I wouldn’t wait several hours for the food, but it’s pretty good for a fast food chain. The chicken and spaghetti are my favorites. Chicken is consistent. Each time I’ve visited it is hot and fresh. Order the spicy chicken. Their spice powder is good and adds flavor. Spaghetti is topped with cheese and the sauce is kind of sweet. Familiar yet different. Check out the bakery next door if you want some Filipino sweet bread.

Regardless if you are Filipino or not, I think this place has THE best fried chicken. As a Filipina myself, being able to pair this deliciousness with rice and ketchup turn my dream into a reality! Not a fan of the palabok(I may be a minority here), but the Filipino spaghetti is deee-lish(it is sweet!). Plus, the staff have always been friendly to me and the restaurant always appears clean/modern/tidy when I visit. Highly recommended. This review is based on my personal experience and all statements made herein reflect my personal opinion only. Your experience may be completely different.

I came here for the first time nearly a year ago, and my favorite thing off the menu(fried fish) was taken off so that was a huge bummer to me. From what I remember, my other favorite thing here was their fried chicken, NOT the actual filipino food. My husband and I came with a friend and we ordered three of the 4 different breakfasts that were available: the tocino, the longanisA, and the tapas. We all were disappointed that the fried egg was cooked well done, so there was no runny yolk through our rice. The garlic fried rice seemed to be lacking salt, so that was disappointing, and you couldn’t find salt anywhere around the restaurant! You had to ask for it up front. The quality of the meat was fairly good for a fast food place, but you shouldn’t expect any higher quality. The portions were pretty good though. It’s pretty nice that you get free coffee :) The décor and ambiance of the place is very nice, but when you have the food it’s not what you expect for how this place looks.
