Gourmet Prep Meals

Gourmet Prep offers really good, chef-​quality meals that are ready to be cooked. They will deliver to your home and office within the Beltway ($ 5 flat fee) or you can pick up from their office east of Downtown.
Pros:
— The recipes are delicious!
— Comes all nicely packaged, and very easy
— Affordable price
— Great business mission– all profits go towards helping to develop foster youth
I really appreciate what the company is doing, but purely as a business model, Gourmet Prep doesn’t make much sense. It doesn’t offer the convenience of something like My Fit Foods, because you still have to cook your meals yourself. And while some people like to be able to cook their own meals, if you have the recipe and know the raw ingredients, what’s stopping you from buying your own ingredients and just cooking it yourself? Gourmet Prep lives off of one type of clientele– people who don’t want to chop their own vegetables, but still want to cook. Unfortunately, that’s not me.
