This was truly a nice bar, but a bar none the less! They had many televisions to watch football, with their preference being the Saints, on all around the place. On the strength of that alone, I gave this place a 4th star. I was only there for the Saints game, and had already eaten, so I did not get an opportunity to eat anything. A saw much potential in this place just watching my Who Dat with fellow people of the Who Dat Nation. There is was a nice spot for DJ with a nice dance floor. Audio system was top notch and would have easily entertained those shaking their groove thang! From the smiles and chatter from those around me, this place, all in all, was a great place to have many people come drink, eat and be merry. I wish I could have gone back before they closed down.

I loved this place but just drove by and the sign was down. Their boiled shrimp was the best. Anyone know what happened or where to watch the Saints’ games? Big Woodrow’s is closed too.

This place is a great option if you want to watch the New Orleans saints game with a hyped crowd. There are a couple of big tv(s) to watch the game, and the staff is pretty friendly. It reminds of a local neighborhood bar, but doesn’t have that smoke feel. The food is ok! The chicken was to salty for me. The music is cool, and upbeat. There is a live band that’s play, which is nice. It’s a fun little spot to hang out with friends. Come check it out!

What to say about this place… definitely not your typical bar one might find in the Heights area… this place is way out in the burbs… went here to catch an NBA game, there were a handful of interesting characters sitting at the bar. This place is well equipped with TVS mounted all around the bar area with the volume BLARING… and a basket of remote controls at one end of the bar. One of the owners chatted me up– he kindly offered me some crawfish; I cracked the shell and it crumbled under my fingers(not a great sign) and I ordered the chicken wings… it’s your average chicken wing… the bartender was helpful, the crowd was a mix of the pleasant to unpleasant, the food was lackluster, the owner was cool… so what else is there to say? I live near by, I tried it, I did it, done.

This place is great! nice crowd good drinks & food, music was good. It’s a bit of a older crowd but none the less it’s always a good time when ever I go. Only complaint that I have is on last night visit my table order food paid for it with credit card. But we continued to Order drinks paid by cash. Once we where done ready to go our waitress wasn’t around I went to bar ask for her, I was told she was gone for the night so I had to leave her tip with the barmaid who stated waitress would get it the next day. I just found it to be a lil strange a waitress would end her shift & not mention or inform her table.

I’ve come here a few Fridays. They have really good drink Happy Hour Specials and they make good drinks too. The plus is the food, its actually really good. Its a good spot to come, sit at the bar, eat, drink, and listen to some good music. The FOOD-Today I had boiled crawfish, corn, and turkey necks. DELICIOUS. I was a bit hesitant about y he turkey necks, but they were very flavorful. The crawfish is New Orleans style, very well seasoned water. The flavor permeated throughout. It was spicey(but not overwhelming, just a note), buttery, and delicious. Other things I’ve had. Lemon Pepper wings, Fried catfish and shrimp platter. It was good as well. They season their food really well The one Con The music is REALLY loud. If they can turn it down a notch it would be perfect. Music volume is a fine balance of being loud enough to drown out others far away but not so loud you cant hear the person next to you. That is the complaint from me and every one I’ve been here with. Random — HH Friday Domestic Beer is $ 2. Shiner Bock, made in Shiner, Tx is considered IMPORT. Wait. What??? They clearly didn’t use Google maps when coming up with the Import/Domestic list. Music– R&B, Zydeco, and Hip Hop. DJ comes in around 7 or 8. Jukebox before then. I just got lucky. Apparently, they have a house band that plays every third Friday. House Band is Dana Jackson and her band from Magic 102.7. She started prompt at 9 and was done at 10. Live music is one hour current and old school R&B hits. Crowd — Never really crowded. Decent crowd. Empty right after work. I come and linger earlier around 6pm(cheap drinks early). It starts filling in around 8. Not a huge crowd though. Sports — This is a sports bar. Lots of TVs. I can see folks coming for sporting events. Please Note, I’ve only ever been on a Friday. I cant speak for any other night.

I came here on two separate Fridays to meet friends for happy hour. The drinks were flowing and I had a great time on both occasions. I had the catfish plate on my first visit and the shrimp plate on my second. Both were very delicious. I heard the band the first time and it was a nice set with a lady singer that sang a variety of songs. It is owned by at least one person from New Orleans and has that NO flavor. I was told it is super crowded for football season and they have numerous tv’s so no matter where you sit you will always have a great view. I will check them out during that time to see. I will probably be going back for happy hour in the meantime.

First time here… came for the Pacquiao-Bradley 2 fight. They played the fight on all screens. Pleasant bonus was the live band and a DJ to warm up the crowd. Ordered the Lagniappe platter of friedcatfish, shrimp and oysters which was all good. Mudbugs came out hot… spicy and plain good. Ice cold brews and mixed drinks were good too. Found a new hangout for Thursday and Saturday’s! Band was just awesome… ya’ll need to come!
