I don’t buy often but it is always fun to go in. I get my smudging materials here and they are good quality. I appreciate the wide selection of everything, The people who have assisted me at the counter have been adequate to mildly friendly — with that said it’s OK. I’ve never been treated rudely. The parking is small and — again no problem the side streets are usually easy to get a spot in. Good selection of jewelry and robes too.
It is totally worth a visit with some extra spending money in your pocket!

Haven’t been to your store since 2012. Been fighting the Big C and will return soon. I can’t wait.

I’ve been to the Magick Cauldron a couple of times, and have usually left feeling energized and excited to use my purchases. The staff had always been helpful and more than willing to hold conversations about any item in the store. The ridiculously high prices were even worth it to talk to a nice, informative person.
Today, however, immediately when I walked in, I felt a desire to walk right back out. I was confused so I continued to shop. Soon it became apparent that the staff didn’t seem to want me, or any of the other patrons to be there. Any question or item a customer brought to the counter was met with a cloaked cockiness and laughed-​off rudeness. It was hard to watch. Later, I talked to a friend and she said that her experiences have always been similar.
Idk who/​what changed, but to anyone looking for decently priced magick and magick accessories and doesn’t want to feel looked down on for being on the other side of a counter, visit Mind, Body and Soul off of Wirt and I-​10.
I guess my complaint was invalid, considering that I got no response, but I will provide you with the specifics that you asked from other people.
The woman who was so condescending to the customers during my visit was a shortish woman, long brown or maybe red hair, plain features, maybe glasses. Her counterpart (who has been kind to me on previous occasions, but was rude to people on this visit) was a taller Hispanic looking man who was speaking a lot about RPGs. If you need me to call the store so that you know that I’m not just a troll, let me know.

I’ve been comng to this store since I was a young man. I always felt that the brusque way the employees and owner treated people here was just something that you had to put up with, but this last trip has really tipped the scales for me.
I don’t intend on ever coming back. Don’t bother with personality commenting, I don’t want to talk to you, but consider this: notice the pattern in the comments about condescension and rudeness? Obviously these issues have never been dealt with.
Never mind that everything in the store is twice a much as it should be. Nevermind that while the oils you sell may have been passable in the occult community of the ealy 90’s, the cheap synthetic stuff that you guys sell that all smells the same is outdated and unacceptable in an era when i can get better quality oils for magick at HEB, your bad attiudes and energy need to be replaced by people who are passionate and kind. I hope that door opens soon.

This place is cool for what it is. I usually go here for my practitioner needs, but the employees are subliminal dicks so I’ll be taking my business down to The Witchery only from here. Appreciate the few tools I have been able to acquire in between time.

My first visit to the Magick Cauldron was in 1990, when the store was located on I-​10 West. I am happy the business is still going strong. This location is fantastic and has a terrific inventory. For example, the selection of herbs is unmatched.
My only complaint during my latest visit was that the store didn’t have a wide selection (colors) of generic beeswax candles (or I missed them). It’d be great to see that added to the inventory.

Great place for crystals.
The moment I walked in I was embraced by the energy from several gigantic crystals, especially the clear quartz and Amethyst …
Geez, because of all the reviews I didn’t bother associating with the staff…
But the selection of breath taking CRYSTALS… was euphoric.
One Crystal attracted me… I bought it… I bought the sage to cleanse it…
And off I was …
Worth the drive for Crystal. Price range $ 25-​$ 1000 (and up). Magnificent pieces available.

If I hold down a job and get wheels I’m stopping buy. Season blessing. Happy more people like these shops out here.

This is the fist time I’ve left a review. I have come to the this store several time over many years and a location change. I know nothing of spiritual arts, I know a ton about rocks minerals, gems, fossils, anything geology related. I have made several large purchases of amber in the past. But this experience I had yesterday was one I will not forget. I took my baby and my 4 year old in the store. The 4 year old is also really into rocks. She was not more than 3 feet from me the entire time. I was holding her hand most of the time as we looked at the tumbled rocks. The tumbled stones are on the end of an aisle close to a huge round altar at the entry. While I was holding my daughters hand as well as pushing a stroller, all she had to do was lean over to blow out a «working candle»? For spells, maybe to keep vigil. She didn’t know any better. She thought it was a birthday candle. I told the woman behind the counter and apologized. The disdain and unwelcomeness was oozing. Like please keep your kid in check and get out. She told me they could not be lit again if they are blown out. She seemed personally disgusted that I would suggest that. I was uninformed of candle magic or the rules of snuffing. I suggest putting your altar in a safe place or at least taking the spells out of an area where there is heavy traffic to keep from contaminating them. Please inform people nicely next time when they are unfamiliar with spell rules. Would you want to be treated like an unwelcome fool if you were in my shoes? I still have to go places with my kids. I am not going to stay at home because of them. But quick judgements about either a child having childish impulses or my lack of control over her snuffing your candles when they are in a busy entry will lose you business.

I like reading very much and have many books at home. When I found this store I was very happy. I can spend there hours, because there is a big variety if books. The publications are the newest. The prices are not low so sometimes I can not buy a book because it is too expensive for me. If you like reading, you will not waste your time there. Helpful and knowledgeable workers will help you if you do not know what to choose.

OK, I hate to admit it, but I didn’t buy anything. My two adult children and I visited and explored the labyrinth upstairs and viewed the art. It was an artistic inspiration that makes me want to go home and build things out of books.

The Magick Cauldron was an AMAZING experience as a new occultist.
The staff was informative, helpful, and eager to answer my questions and simply helped me to think DEEPER. Disregard the negative comments below… clearly their own negative/​bad vibes were being read by the staff!

Went here today to get white sage. The guy at the register was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Great shop for the practitioner, or if you are looking for a resource. All kinds of incense, candles, herbs, and gems, as well as some great books. Staff is friendly and helpful, very nice. Will use this place for all my Pagan shopping. Thanks, Magick Cauldron!

I used to love coming into this shop, but my experience was such a bummer today. The woman at the counter was very impatient and rude. Ironically I was collecting some items that I hoped would attract positive energy. :/​Just bad vibes… I won’t be returning any time soon.

I went to Magick Cauldron in May after months of wishing to see all the beautiful inventory. I walked in and it was nice and bigger than I expected, which was awesome.
The only thing was that I felt the owners were really jaded or having a bad day. How funny, i could feel their negative condescending energy towards me. I was looking at all the tumbled stones they had and was reading the descriptions for each of them, which is so fascinating to me. But a male owner asked me if i needed help with anything like if i was taking too long. I could definitely feel they thought i was some a young lady wasting their time or something. I didn’t even get to look at half of the store. Instead, i quickly purchased a rose quartz and moonstone and left. Wish they had more loving and accepting people working there. I didn’t feel like i was welcome to walk around and really take my time there. Such a pity. They have amazing things and I will still be returning to the store to buy more products. I’m hoping they’ll be a bit more accepting this time.

This shop is fun and magickal. Like popping in here after a quick bite at Niko Niko’s. Always find an interesting book or 3. The custom blended oils are quite lovely as well.

Don’t waste your time here. The staff is rude and condescending. I was misled about something and the staff member pointed it out to me. Instead of trying to help me and build a loyal customer, she used it as an opportunity to belittle me. Way to lose a potential customer. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I am sure glad my sister invited me on this trip to adventure around Central Houston – we ended up finding this cool place. I’ve never been in a place that sells Wicca items or off-​the-​wall things that have a natural feel to it.
They do sell gemstones for quite a ridiculous amount of money – I do believe since they don’t have an idea on how much the stone is really worth; they will price it depending on how beautiful it may look. For instance, the amethyst were dark deep purple, but it shouldn’t have been $ 24 for it. They aren’t even selling them at much on Ebay or the rock shop I usually go to. If its authentic amethyst then it should be priced correctly.
They had this section just for polished stones, however these stones were tiny. $ 3/​each for these tiny stones. I’m guessing used for their healing powers – not sure, but for me I usually get a higher spirit from stones in their rough (natural) state than when they are polished just because polishing anything alters their original and innate matter.
Though, that wasn’t the only thing priced high it was a lot of things. The books were pretty cool to look through – they had a lot of holistic remedy books, metaphysical properties of gemstones, near-​death-​after life books. Pretty interesting books.
They had jewelry made out of stones, but not a lot like I expected. Most were priced super expensive. They were just like jewelry with polished stones – how rubies look at the jewelry store. I saw incenses that smelled pretty good, but incenses usually smell horrible when you light them up in your house. Go figure.
Although, this store was pretty interesting to check out. I probably wouldn’t just pop up in here any other given time. I do suggest that anybody who is interested in finding gemstones, minerals, fossils, expert advice on stones, a good deal on a specific stone do visit Shu’s Rock Shop in League City, TX – its a small shop just off of Main St in League City. Joe, the owner’s son is an expert on rocks. He really knows his stuff and he will not just price his stones – he gives you the correct price on how a stone should be (not like these guys who are ripping you off). Joe, has been in this rock business for a long time. His family goes to the Annual Rock, Gem, and Mineral shows every year whether its the one in Pasadena for the Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Society or the one in Humble for the Houston Gem and Mineral Society. Just go check him out and you won’t be sorry that you took the drive down to League City.
I’ve personally gotten a lot of goodies (beautiful stones) from Shu’s Rock Shop.

Good little place for tarot cards, herbal magick, altar tools, candles, spells, altar items, statuary, altar tiles, chalices, bumper stickers, celtic, chakra, baphomet statues, pentagrams, athames, daggers, swords, voodoo dolls, soaps, tarot boxes, incenses, oils, mortar, pestles, and pendulums. But terrible for gemstones, jewelry, wands, points, and minerals– their prices are ridiculous you could go to Shu’s Rock Shop in League City to get a better deal, price, and quality. Even the Tourmalined Quartz is in terrible condition that it isn’t worth being sold for the listed price, they have a fingernail Azurite for $ 24 and I got mines a larger piece for less than that at a Mineral Show. The Selenite wands are a ripoff too, for a better quality and quantity (wait for Clear Lake Gem & Mineral Society show every beginning of the year). The show wands/​sticks are longer in length for $ 6 – 8 instead of the Magick Cauldron price of $ 24 & up for a shorter stick. They have tumbled stones in pull out trays but their prices are too much for the dull quality each stone is $ 3 ea. and popular minerals are pricer. Again, Shun’s Rock Shop tumbled stones and minerals are 4 for $ 1 or $ 1 ea. depending if you want 1 or more. His jewelry are inexpensive and in great quality. The service is excellent has a staff walking around asking if everyone is doing good. Their books are overpriced– I was wanting to get Gem Stone A to Z by Diane Stein online the book is $ 11, but the store book was $ 20. If your looking for wicca things this is the place, but if your looking for minerals this is NOT the place save your money and shop elsewhere like Shu’s Rock Shop or go to Nature’s Treasure for a better selection, quantity, quality, and deals!
