History
Established in 2012.
Paisleys & Swirls originally began in Toronto, Canada. The founder, Naqiya, had a great passion for Henna patterns from a young age and aimed to learn as much as she could about the art and more importantly: practice to perfection. Paisleys & Swirls offers a variety of Henna packages for brides, wedding parties, and all other events; clients can rest assured that there is a henna package that can be designed to meet their specific needs and budget.
Naqiya is truly passionate about her art, and takes pride in providing professionalism, integrity and a high quality product. All henna used on clients is chemical-free, and 100% natural made by the founder herself. Paisleys & Swirls promises to provide neat, unique, and detailed henna patterns — we place utmost importance on maintainingahigh standard of quality of service, organization and timeliness.
Meet the Business Owner
Naqiya L.
Business Owner
I recently moved from Toronto to Houston. The move was scary, exciting and self-realizing all at the same time. I had to adjust to a brand new culture but I wanted to make the most of it! I turned my dream into a reality: I started applying Henna. For the last few years, I had started molding the dream; however, I didn’t have the talent to follow. After spending nearly a year practicing, I felt ready! I was driven by my desire to meet new people and share my art with them. I wanted to explore the patterns and find new canvases for them so I could spread the beauty everywhere. I was inspired by the joy on people’s faces and their appreciation for my self-taught talent was unparalleled to any other happiness. Where did my love for this art begin? I started doodling patterns at a young age; that’s when I learned my intrigue for the way the abstract designs connected and grew. That’s where my name is derived from: Paisleys and Swirls, each helps the other extend into something beautiful.
