It’s so funny how people can complain. Obviously you get what you paid for!!! People $ 20.00 for mani/​pedi seriously??? What kind of service did you expect??? There’s a difference in trying to save money or just plain cheap! I would of expect ok service, keep in mind how much money can the employees get from that mani/​pedi and of course the owner profit also. I’m guessing not much at all.
I saw a client in the chair crying over her hair. How she doesn’t have money blah blah blah. I see Patricia (owner) offering it for free and she still gave the salon a bad review. Some people!

This place is not that bad as described by the previous reviewers. It’s ambiance can be better though. It’s an expensive place so it’s likely that I do not go back again. My stylist did a great job on my highlights and haircut, a good experience overall. And they offered me treats at the end. lol.

This place could be the worst of the worst nail salon.
I got a grupon for mani padi. I called 3 weeks before to get an appointment.
On the day They could not find my appointment. The receptionist wasn’t helpful at all.
At last they did my nails. The nail color of my choice was so sticky, they had to change it. They didn’t remove any cuticles. and The color came off within an hour and half !!!
Save your money and time. DO NOT go to Paris Salon and Spa

I went here the first time to dye my hair and the owner Patrica always seems to like to do the consultations for the stylists which is a big mistake because something always seems to mess up. There was a woman next to me already pissed about how her hair turned out. but it wasn’t something you couldn’t fix. Patrica was really nice all time. Second time I went again to dye my hair yet another time and service was great and the lady who does threading does a good job.
Finally I went a third time to redye my blonde i had and i had a new stylist her name was Caprinse or something. REAL NICE down to earth chick. Service was awesome. So i told her i would come back for her to do my glue on extensions for my bday. So… I went for my bday and she was off that day and she said she would do it the next day for me but you know, its my bday and i wanted to look good. Patricia kept nagging and nagging and told me the lady that did my threading knew how to do glue on. So here I am all thinking I’m going to look all cute and pretty for my birthday dinner when in the middle of it I asked if the lady knew now. WHAT DO YOU KNOW, she says a little but not really when already I had half of it done. Then here comes another lady that butts in and starts gluing and when I asked her she only knew how to do sew on extensions. So now I have 2 inexperienced females working on my hair that Patricia said one knew what she was doing. The whole time she going beautiful oh yes when it really looked like crap. They didnt even do it right nor did they do my sides. So YOU could tell it was all fake. Then she wanted to trim a bit so i’m like alright maybe it will get better. HAH ye right. it looked like crap still and I had no time to argue or nothing as i was already running late. Go up to pay and it was my 70 bucks for the ugly extensions and she charged my ass like 30 for trimming. wtf? wasn’t 5 min of trimming. i paid the girl and left. I cried my whole way to get my friend and never felt so ugly. and on my birthday. So I ended up ripping most of it at her house and had to go to visible changes and pay an extra 60 to take the rest off.
Let’s just say this place is the worst place to get anything done unless you want to come out looking like a clown. I wasted so much since i bought my own hair. and when I had the time to tell them they only refunded me 40. Don’t go here… Waste of money and hidden charges that are ridiculously high. I’ll go elsewhere with my money.

i went here for a mani/​pedi and will not return to this salon again. when i booked the appointment, they told me the service would take 1 hour. however, 30 minutes into my appointment, there was only one person working on me (pedicure) and it was clear i wouldn’t be done in an hour since all he he had accomplished during the first 30 minutes was cutting and filing my nails. i asked for someone to start my manicure so another older woman came and started it. not sure why i had to ask for this– there was only 1 other customer in the salon and 3 technicians just sitting around chatting.
pedicure: the young man who did my pedicure did not seem experienced or well trained in this service. he was friendly and nice, but didn’t really know what he was doing. it took him 30 minutes to just cut and file my nails. when he was done, several of my nails were different lengths so i had to ask him to even them out. he did not exfoliate my feet with the pumice/​scrubby thing, i think he forgot that this is part of a pedicure. when he got to the lotion part, i asked him if he was going to exfoliate my feet and he said «oh. i was going to but i thought you were in a hurry and your feet look okay.» i asked him to please go ahead and do this and so he did but then (since he had already lotioned my feet) he just took a wet rag to clean my feet rather than letting me soak them back in the bucket to clean them off. he did fine polishing my toes, but forgot to do a top coat. during my pedicure he kept being called away to translate for the other customer in the salon, so by the time i was done with my polish, i just wanted to get out of there rather than wait around or remind him to do a top coat.
manicure: the lady who did my manicure was nice but since i received it during my pedicure, she cut and filed my nails in my lap. i kept sweeping the crumbs away until she finally got it that i didn’t want all that done over the black pants i was wearing! then she filed my nails from a weird angle so she mostly filed my fingertips rather than the nails. my fingertips were raw and scratched up from the vigor of her filing. it was over a week before they stopped burning when i washed my hands. the lady (older lady) who did the manicure was nice– it just wasn’t the most professional job. i had to ask her to please polish sides of my nails. she did a bunch of strokes down the middle of each nail, but left the sides of my fingernails white.
this was a lousy place to get your nails done– i know they have put out groupon-​type deals but i would strongly advise anyone considering this salon to forego it until they better train their staff.

I decided to check out this particlar salon because of an ad I came across that had been posted by one of the hairdressers. My birthday was this past weekend, and in preparing for my celebration, I was in the mood to treat myself. I booked an appointment with Brooklyn (who works at his booth in the back), and I definitely felt pampered during my appointment – he prides himself on being thorough and took his time to make sure that my hair looked great, and that I felt fabulous. No chemical burns during my relaxer, and my haircut looks great! Job well done!
So, since I was in a pamper myself kind of mood, I decided to get a manicure as well. This was only the second manicure I’ve ever had, since my first one was a NIGHTMARE. (Note: my first mani was NOT done at this salon. I just want to point that out). The mani was nice enough – I got a hand massage and a warm cloth. I got the French tips, and like another reviewer pointed out, it’s easy to see the mistakes. The tips weren’t painted as even as they could’ve been, and some of my nails had corners showing that didn’t get painted, but I was willing to let that slide. Unfortunately, my mani started chipping that night! And I wasn’t even doing anything that should’ve caused it to chip! And by Saturday night, the top coat and gel coat had cracked and chipped off half my nails! Really not good. The salon is closed on Sundays, so I couldn’t go in to try and get it fixed. I could’ve saved the money I wasted on my mani and put it towards a birthday present to myself or something
Overall, I’d definitely go back for my hair, but I don’t know if I’d get another manicure there. The staff all seems friendly enough, but I feel a bit underwhelmed. Five stars for sure to Brooklyn, but the manicure definitely drops my rating of this place.

I bought a groupon for a partial highlight and cut. I was put with Nadia and my hair turned out great. Three months later, I thought I’d go back. Despite some of the bad reviews I knew that the first time had gone well.
I scheduled with Nadia again. When I got there, Nadia wasn’t working. I was put with Ashley. I had the same pictures I gave to Nadia, I had a picture of what my hair looked like after Nadia cut it and I said «I want it just like this.»
Ashley said «okay, I got it.» and proceeded to give me something that looks nothing like what I asked for. My hair is at least 3 inches shorter than it should be in the front. (I wanted an inverted bob and there is nothing inverted about this cut. It’s straight, one length, all the way across. I look like a 5 year old boy.
She asked how blonde I wanted it and I said «not very… like the picture.» My hair is practically white.
I hate it. I would not recommend going here ever, and if you do, especially not to Ashley.

I also purchased a Living Social voucher for a mani/​pedi and almost cancelled my appointment after reading some of the (scary) reviews. I figured it was not worth driving out Westheimer when the place around the corner from me does a fabulous job for $ 37.00. I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. The place has a nice atmosphere (nothing like in some of the reviews) and the owner must have gotten the hint from the reviews because I was not offered one additional service. The manicurist, Ahn, was very professional and did a very good job though the color is already chipping on my fingernails after only 3 days. Aside from that it was as good as my regular place so if you live in the area, I recommend it.

Don’t waste your money on facial here! I bought a Bloomspot deal for an hour facial of $ 29 and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Dirty pillows, no hot towels, no pore cleaning, no head & shoulder massage at all! I came out with all the exfoliation cream still on my face. My worst facial experience ever! I’m such a loser to tip $ 9 for such a bad service.

So, I wrote the previous review you see posted here and gave this place 4 stars because of the way the owner treated me and decided that I would get a re-​dye for free in the future. Well, I talked to Patricia today, June 1 and she said she remembered our convo well and even remembered my red hair and that she agreed to a re-​dye in the future. She passed me to the receptionist, who scheduled me for 4PM today. I got there, and informed her that Patricia sent me in. No info was left for the receptionist or the stylist that was up front so I had to reluctantly tell my story AGAIN. So annoying. The receptionist looked at me like I was crazy and the stylist ran back and fourth a couple times from the back to the front and spoke to me about what I needed done. I explained that I wanted to know the color was going to be done free of charge and she agreed to it, telling me they would go ahead and do the color. She also stood behind me (I was sitting in the chair) and spoke to me, which was very unprofessional and rude. She said the stylist who did my hair should be the one to redo it and I agreed that that was fine. Later, the receptionist quizzed me on what I needed done and I explained AGAIN. (Why didn’t the owner inform her that I was coming in???)
The receptionist calmly stated that I would have to pay around $ 50 or $ 60 for all over dye because it wouldn’t be just my roots. Well duh, I can’t get just roots dyed when I have red-​dyed hair. It doesn’t work that way. I said no and that I wouldn’t pay it, because I had already paid $ 81 + $ 49 = $ 130 when I was told I would have to pay only an additional $ 30-​$ 50 for the extra color when I went in there the first time. I told her they were going to lose a client and she said she wanted me to stay. I told her I wouldn’t if I was going to have to pay $ 50-​$ 60, because that was unacceptable. It was a no-go…so therefore I have this to say: Paris Salon and Spa is a RIPOFF!!! Stay away. Let’s see if Patricia, this mythical owner, calls me back. I left my name and number and asked for a call back. Hmmmmmmm.
And to top it off, I just tried to email them so I could possibly get through to the owner… there is a box to type your name in, but no other boxes and no way to submit an email. That’s efficient.

I purchased a coupon on Living Social for a partial highlight, cut, and style. The stylist who did my hair (Karen), seemed very confused when we discussed my color and cut, and generally gave no indication that what I was saying made sense. When I said I wanted natural looking highlights that were about a shade lighter than my current color, she was very confused. «Natural looking?» «Lighter?» «I guess I can do that. Did you want darker?» Did not inspire confidence. Highlights turned out okay — not the worst job I’ve ever had but not the best. Cut was also so-​so. The worst part of the experience was how I felt like a second class citizen because I had a coupon. Um, you offered it.

I bought a deal for this place from Living Social including a partial highlight, cut and style for $ 40. I’m a student, so I jumped on top of such a good price.
When I walked in, the first thing I saw was a blonde woman getting a little pissy with the front desk woman. Apparently, she had been in for the same deal and had not been told beforehand that her hair would be extra because it was long and thick. I could understand her frustration, but my hair is short and fine so I knew I’d be okay.
Anyway, the good news is that they took me back to be seated immediately and my stylist, Sony (I think her real name was Songhee), was very nice and did a good job listening to what I wanted, which is awesome. She did a wonderful job with the highlight and the cut, which surprised me, because she was incredibly quick. Even though I had all three things done that day, she had me out the door in an hour flat. Amazing! I wish I could’ve given her a bigger tip.
Now the cons: I noticed a lot of stylists just sitting in their own, empty chairs, gossiping in front of the clients. This shouldn’t be allowed to happen. There were two more who sitting in the back by the wash stations, and one of them had a box of food next to her. I think the stylists need their own space to sit and talk if they’re not busy. Also, once my highlights were done, Sony took me over to wash my hair, and afterward, I had water dripping down my back because she didn’t towel dry my hair as thoroughly as she could. Not to mention the wet hair that was stuck to the sides of my face once it had been combed out. That was rather annoying.
All in all, I was really happy with the outcome of my appointment and my hair looks awesome. Only thing I might change is the way the salon is managed… keep an eye on your people and keep them busy and they’ll be much happier!

Today I went to Paris Salon and Spa and was thoroughly disgusted. I walked into a place that looked like the 1980s threw up everywhere. I recently purchased a certificate online that was $ 29 for a facial, mani and pedi (the cheap price should have been my first clue). The facial wasn’t terrible but the room they do it in is super gross. Paint peeling off the walls and a CD player that skips constantly. After the facial I proceeded to get my mani. Instead of getting a mani I decided to pay the difference and get a full set of solar nails. I normally get pink and white but when I requested this, the old man that did my nails acted as if it would be too much of an annoyance to do them. Come to find out, he doesn’t normally do pink and white solar so his skills were lacking. Needless to say, my nails look like s***. They are so rough and bumpy that I am going to have to go get them fixed somewhere else.
After my nails were done (after sitting in the chair for 2 hours) I still needed to get my pedi. They were close to closing so the man looked annoyed that he had to do that too. He rushed through my pedicure and that too ended up looking like a sloppy mess.
The owner was way too pushy and she actually made me feel bad about the amount I was tipping. I’m sorry, but for the services I received, I felt like my tip was more than enough. She was rude and I will never, NEVER go back to this place.
Oh, and as a side note, I felt like the equipment was dirty and not sanitized. I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up with a staph infection or some kind of weird fungus!

If you’re looking for a place to pamper yourself, this isn’t the place for you. They don’t have a massaging chair like other nail salons nor does it come with tub for you to dip your feet. If you get a pedi here, like CD L said, they come out with a bucket of warm water and pour it into a tub covered with a trash bag. I guess that’s their way of not having to disinfect.
I got my mani done by Helen and she was fantastic. Very thorough on her job.
The owner is a little pushy and very overly friendly.
I went on a Friday night and there was a guy there sitting in the waiting area selling fake LV purses and sunglasses to the employees there.
I guess you get what you pay for. $ 20 for pedi/​mani is a steal if you can ignore the black market salesman and the overly friendly owner.

I went because they were advertising $ 20 mani/​pedi, so I made an appointment. When I went it was relatively empty. I don’t know if it’s good or bad for a Thursday after work, but maybe it’s because of the location.
Anyway, when I got there there was another girl there on the phone fighting with her boyfriend (seriously?) fighting and ended up breaking up with him. The kicker is she hung up at one point, went to the bathroom, and then called him back to argue some more. I know. Ok rant over.
The towel you put your foot on was kinda gross b/​c I could see someone else’s toenail clippings. You soak your feet in bucket lined with a trash bag. Ghetto, but it’s a cheap mani/​pedi. Ok, so it wasn’t super luxurious or anything, the ladies got down to business.
I got a french manicure (extra $ 5) so it’s easy to see mistakes. The whites are a bit uneven. Also, it feels like they forgot a top coat or something. When I got home, I had to do a little file on a couple nails because they were still a little rough and liable to snag things.
I think I will probably stick with my old stand by (Leon’s Nails) unless I have a nail emergency.
[Edit: ugh. Manicure only lasted 2 days. That’s no good.]
