Post Oak Perio & Implant Center, formerly the practice of Post Oak Periodontal Associates with Dr. Samuel H. Adams, II, DDS, is now under the capable hands of Dr. Stephan A. Kohnen, DMD. Dr. Stephan Kohnen is an experienced surgeon and periodontist, who has provided outstanding care for his patients for more than 16 years. He is specialized in the treatment and diagnosis of periodontal (gum) disease. He received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Munster (Germany). After practicing general dentistry for several years in Germany, Dr. Kohnen was selected as one of the few international students to attend the three-​year postdoctoral program in Periodontics and Implantology at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass. Graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Kohnen received his specialty degree from Tufts University in 1997.
