Smoothie King

Manager acted like we were a nuisance. Actually told me I don’t need more than one person talking to me at once. I understand her position but there must be a better way to communicate. Just the attitude here stinks and it’s no wonder the rest of the crew isn’t nice.

Bad customer service. Asked for two of the same smoothie with one major difference. When handed the smoothies I assumed there would have been some sign of which smoothie was which. Instead, Im left to play a guessing game as to which one is supposed to go to whom. I returned to the store for clarification as to how im supposed to magically know the contents of each smoothie. While one associate DID apologize and correct the oversight, another associate by the name of janet thought it would be prudent to mouth off to me. Now it may have been a while since i worked there, but ive been going for years loyally to the same one. Havent been in a while and thought i would take my mom. Never have i been so dissatisfied with my service. Im sure others have had issues as well. It leaves a bad taste in ones mouth and leads one to question how far standards have fallen to where employees think its ok to treat customers like theres an endless list. Everyone that walks in should be treated like they are the one handing you a paycheck, because without the customers… Well, you get my drift.

Same as any other smoothie king. I had nothing to complain to pick at. My Caribbean Way was blended to the perfect consistency. If you are exiting from the freeway you have to get over immediately otherwise you’ll have to u turn to make it into the parking garage.

Nothing else to say other than bad customer service! I ordered a pep upper and asked for it to be sweetened — not sweet at all as a matter of fact it was sour more than anything! And I’ve been ordering this in forever and I’ve had it sweetened, unsweetened I mean I’ve had it in different ways so I can understand if there was a small mistake but goodness I had to throw my drink away!!! Will never go back!

Bed manners is NOT their thing! Plain rude! Both employees. Too many smoothie places to go around in the same area. Not going back here. It should be a pleasant experience.

Horrible! Second smoothie I’ve gotten since I’ve moved back to Houston and this place has some of the worst tasting smoothies I have ever had! Nothing is fresh, and any of their protein smoothies taste like a bad work out Shake you make from supplement at home. NOT pleased at all. Better off driving the distance to get a truly healthy delicious smoothies else where. Disappointed and not sure how I ever drank smoothie king as a kid, yuck!

Smoothie King definitely makes some tasty smoothies. The taste of any fruits you might choose come out distinctly and sweetly in the smoothie. This is partly because the fruits tend to come in jugs where they have been bathing in a heavy syrup. The turbinado sugar they use also gives more flavor than your typical refined sugar, and is supposedly lower calorie. On that note, they do use a damn good amount of sugar. So it’s definitely not very low-​carb friendly.
The smoothies are also rather expensive — pretty much the cost of a full meal, but the calories are also generally full meal size (unless you «make it skinny»), so I guess it’s not too bad. You can also download an app to rack up points on all purchases to use on free smoothies/​food.

I love stopping here before an early morning shift. The people are quick and I’m always in and out!

Typically quick and nice service here. I usually go here when I need my fruit fix.
Be sure to get their Immune Builder if you feel a cold coming on. It’s so soothing and delicious.

Quick and friendly service. It’s a pain to get here because you cannot access the store from Gessner.
