History

Established in 2004.

Symbio Lighting + Control was originally formed in Austin, Texas to provide solutions incorporating the latest in lighting control technology. As the Internet and IP-​enabled devices began to grow, Symbio began to fulfill the growing need for expertise in home automation technology that served as an umbrella to all the latest in lighting, entertainment and audio/​video products and services.

Founder, Ben Hildreth launched Symbio Lighting + Control in Austin, Texas over 15 years ago. His interest in technology coupled with the increase in consumers need to simply manage all of it is what has shaped the company into what it is today.
