Rick and his associates are outstanding. I’ve purchased 8 stones on four occasions from Rick with great confidence that I am getting the greatest quality for my money. Rick knows that there is so much more to diamonds than just size and guides the customer to make the best educated decision that will provide satisfaction and a brilliant stone. My wife couldn’t be happier with her gifts.

After month of a frustrating ring search we were referred to Rick. The experience from start to finish with Rick was great. I currently live in Oklahoma and had most of our conversations over email. He was very prompt and thorough at answering emails. He custom made my fiancé’s wedding band to match her engagement ring and did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend Rick. He does great work.

When I first walked into Grayland Noah’s office in Uptown Diamond (UD), I turned to my girlfriend and asked, «Are you sure we belong here?» I asked her that because all throughout the walls of UDs beautiful office and especially inside Grayland’s office are pictures of professional athletes, A listers, celebrities, etc. So I thought Grayland and the UD team would balk once I told them my budget for an engagement ring. I was completely wrong. Grayland treated me with the same amount of respect and courtesy he would to any multi-​million dollar athlete. I never felt uncomfortable and he made the engagement ring buying process fast and enjoyable. I am elated with the quality of the engagement ring and I would recommend UD to every person on this earth.

I can’t say enough about Rick and his team that hasn’t already been said. I went to a ton of the local Houston spots to look for engagement rings. I had one bad experience after another. This included one particularly bad experience at Robins Brothers where I was led to believe I HAD to open a line of credit in order to proceed. I got desperate and searched «diamonds» on Unilocal.Uptown Diamonds came up first. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t skeptical. If the reviews are too good to be true you have to be careful. However, I immediately felt at ease with Rick. He made me feel like his top priority. He listened to my concerns and was respectful of my budget. Also he showed me some other cool projects he was involved with including other engagement rings, drum sticks, and super bowl rings… very cool!
From day 1 he helped design a custom made ring. He gave me light reading to become a more informed buyer and never once pressured me to purchase anything. I came in to approve every step along the way! When I finally came in to pick up the finished product I was blown away. It was better than I imagined. After I proposed, we took the ring back to be resized and Rick did it very quickly.
It was such a cool process from the CAD design, to the 3D wax printer, to picking excellent cut diamonds, and finally the hand made ring. What an experience!
I know I forgot something but this was a great experience and my fiancé loves the rock! I can’t wait to work with Rick on the wedding bands.

After looking at countless rings at the popular engagement ring stores, my then girlfriend and I decided that custom setting would be the best option since neither of us liked what we saw. We got a quote for nearly $ 4500 (including a $ 400 CAD fee and some $ 150 warranty) for just the setting from a big engagement ring store after being passed around to numerous salesmen only to have to explain again what exactly we wanted. After this experience, I felt discouraged because I did not want to spend thousands of dollars on a ring/​diamond that I was just «okay with». Thankfully, I found Uptown Diamond on Unilocal.
Rick worked with us from day one to create a unique ring for my fiancée. Rick and his team generated 4 or 5 CAD model revisions and 2 or 3 3D-​printed waxes during the whole process per my requests. Despite the fact that we were very specific with the design we wanted (we’re both engineers), Rick was always receptive and understood what we were asking. He never tried to BS or up-​sell me. Rick and his team created a beautiful one-​of-​a-​kind setting at a fraction of the price that the other store wanted to charge me. Also, he believes so much in the quality of his diamonds that they are Bonded (warrantied against defect and decline in value) AND if you want to trade-​up or sell back the diamond, you get the FULL value you paid. No other diamond retailer in Texas offers this policy that I know of.
Rick told me when I picked up the ring after months of discussion with him, that I was probably one of the slowest and most detail oriented clients he’s ever had, and he’s right. When you’re buying a ring the price of a new car, you want to take it slow. But any other retailer wouldn’t have the patience to deal with me. Rick and the people at Uptown Diamond design custom engagement rings because it’s their passion, not because they want to sell as many rings as they can, and it shows. I was in the market to upgrade my wife’s wedding set, and a friend pointed me towards Rick at Uptown Diamonds. Rick made the process very smooth and provided a lesson on diamonds that you would never get in a typical retail store. With Rick’s help, I decided on a 3 diamond set that came out perfect. Rick also was able to get the ring turned around in 3 days so I could surprise her with it as a Christmas present. She makes comments every day that she has never seen a diamond ring shine so much. I’ve known Rick, owner of Uptown Diamonds for years, and when it was time to buy a diamond engagement ring, I relied heavily on his sound advice. Rick is great at making an educated customer, and ensuring the right decision is made. This year for Christmas, I picked up a beautiful set of Diamond Earrings, sight unseen, and my wife fell in love with them. They were the perfect size, Rick nailed it! I have referred colleagues from work, and all of them have been thrilled with the results.
Rick and the staff at Uptown Diamonds, are true professionals, and I can’t say enough good things about them. If you are in the market for diamonds, this is the only place to go!

Rick and team helped my fiancé custom-​create my beautiful engagement ring! It is so unique and beautiful, and he said the service was amazing. They worked with him to craft this super tiny halo that sort of peeks out from under the large stone — I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s more elegant (in my opinion) than the traditional halo, and it makes the whole ring sparkle like woah. We went back to have our wedding bands made, and here’s what I have to say:
1) Process: The process of designing the jewelry, and seeing your vision come to life, is so much fun. We talked through my thoughts, and then they send me a cad drawing for approval or edits. Then I got to see a little mold of it before it was made into gold, which was awesome. When the ring came in, I had some doubts at first, and they said they would make the minor adjustments I wanted for free. But, when I brought it home and test drove the ring, it was just so perfect, I kept it as is. They were communicative and so fun to work with the whole time.
2) Price: Before purchasing at UD, I found a pre-​made wedding band I loved in another store, and wrote down how much it would cost. The band I designed at Uptown Diamond had larger diamonds w/​a higher total carat, and more gold — and was 25% less than the cost of the pre-​made ring I liked. I don’t know why you pay more for something everyone has, but I would much rather save a dollar and get something unique!
3) People: Everybody is just so nice. The girl who works at the front desk is just a complete sweetheart — I love talking to her every time I go in.
We had a friend who was preparing to propose, and he used UD as well — their ring is the second most beautiful engagement ring I’ve ever seen :)

Another EXTREMELY satisfied customer of an Uptown Diamond engagement ring! From start to finish, Rick and his crew have been phenomenal to work with. I am truly appreciative of Rick’s sales approach and his transparency. Rick is extremely personable, honest, and transparent.
My first meeting with Rick consisted of Diamond education and determining what my objective was. Once those were achieved, he proceeded to show me options and what I should be looking for. Rick never once pressured me into anything that wasn’t right for me throughout the whole process. Something that I greatly appreciate, especially in comparison to the big name stores. I had photos of a ring that I liked and Rick said he’ll get artwork out to me in the next few days for my evaluation. As promised, artwork showed up in about 2 days.
A few days later Rick had me come in to take a look at the wax they cut from the artwork I approved. We went over the different options until I found something I like and to agree on the final design. Having a physical model to look at was a revelation! I’m new to this process of buying custom jewelry, so that was very fascinating to me. Again, not an ounce of pressure was placed on me to commit or finalize anything. Once we wrapped up, Rick said he’ll give me a call once it’s all done and we’ll go from there.
About a week later, I got a call from Rick that my ring was ready. Yet another pleasant surprise. I came by and the ring was spectacular. It was exactly as I envisioned and the crew couldn’t have done a better job. Job done!
Now here’s the kicker. After I returned from my proposal trip, I followed up with Rick to tell him that I was able to increase my budget for the center stone and that I am contemplating on an even larger stone. To my surprise and amazement, Rick refused to let me spend more money! He said I’d be spending more needlessly and that the difference would be insignificant if I wasn’t looking to invest!!! Of course that was music to my ears, but I was genuinely blown away.
I’ve recommended Uptown Diamond to two of my friends and both are now satisfied customers as well!
Overall, you’d be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don’t at least give Uptown Diamond a visit or a call. You have nothing to lose, but everything to gain! Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself!

I was frustrated from a few experiences at the big box stores in the area and found Uptown on Unilocal.Having been on my fourth store I was a bit hesitant, but Rick made that all disappear in about 5 minutes. He did a fantastic job educating on the 4-C’s and sends some great literature if you want a little more reading. I walked out with a great impression and no pressure to make a decision.
When we started the process, I brought in a few pictures of rings I was trying to incorporate and I walked through the design step by step. They turn a ring around fast too! I worked with them for six weeks to get my ring, only because I was out of town for 3 of them and went through 4 iterations with the designer.

I found Uptown Diamond through a review online and after finding their Unilocal page I decided to call them to see if I could get an engagement ring made with them. I ended up making an appointment with them for a more in depth consultation later that weekend.
Upon arriving, I was greeted by their receptionist who kindly asked me if I needed anything while I waited in the lobby. I was immediately greeted by Rick Antona with a big smile and warm handshake. He led me into his office to discuss what I was looking for and what my time frame was. I shared with him a few photos of ring designs that I saw online and asked if certain elements could be combined for a custom ring. He said it would be no problem and could turn it around much sooner than I had expected. Best of all was Uptown’s pricing was very fair and they were willing to work within my budget! I’m very happy with how the entire process went and will be going back for any future jewelery purchases.
