Looking for the perfect engagement ring was one of the hardest, confusing and overwhelming task I have ever done. My experience at Zadok Jewelers was simply incredible and I could not be any happier with it!
I had searched and visited different jewelers, both independent and chain stores before finding out about Zadoks. Well, once I did, I never looked anywhere else. Meredith at Zadoks was extremely patient with me and ever so helpful in assisting me and guiding me in creating the perfect engagement ring. I had told Meredith what I am looking for and she immediately got to work in finding several diamonds in my specifications from their vendors and was able to bring it in to their store a few days later for me to look at. With her expert advice and from what I have learned from researching online and asking around, we were able to pick the perfect diamond. She went straight to work with their vendors in search for the perfect engagement ring setting and after only a couple of weeks of research, constant email updates from her, I was able to decide on the perfect setting and she was able to bring in the custom piece a few weeks later for me to look at before setting the center stone that I have decided on. Meredith took customer service on to the next level when she went on an out-​of-​country trip, and she left detailed instructions for the rest of the Zadoks team to assist me if and when I need further assistance while waiting for my custom piece to arrive. I did not know that she went on a trip and when I emailed her, she was gracious and kind enough to respond back to me and correspond several times to let me know and assist me with my inquiry, whenever she was able to connect to her hotels wifi.
After a couple of weeks waiting, my custom piece order for the ring setting came and they were quick to let me know and was able to set the center stone to my desired height and level. The end result was nothing short of amazing! It is simply beautiful right down to the smallest details. What separate this family owned store for generations from its competitors in this industry is that they have perfected customer service and was able to hire people who exemplifies that even more. This experience would not have been the same if it wasn’t for each and every staff member that assisted me, but most especially for Meredith whom too upon her the task at hand, which is to find and built a custom piece for me in my specifications and within my price range, which is not much. I am very impressed with how she handled everything and mind you, there was NO PRESSURE to me whatsoever in purchasing any piece or do any business with Zadoks while in the whole process of creating my ring. And this is how they are able to get repeat and loyal customers to keep coming back and stay with them for all of their jewelry needs. I am happy to say that after my purchase, going through this journey, I am one very happy and very satisfied customer and will be coming back in the years to come to Zadoks for any of my jewelry needs.
At the end of the day, this is my personal experience and I can only speak for myself… Oh? and my now fiancé who was blown away by how beautiful the custom made engagement ring is and loves it! My experience surpassed all of my expectations and I could not be any happier with everything!
If you are in the market for any pieces of jewelry, specially for the perfect engagement ring, give Zadoks a try and look for Meredith. Would definitely recommend this family owned business and their staff to everyone.

*UPDATE* I was contacted by a staff member of Zadock and she has been so helpful. She has given me the excellent customer service that I was hoping for. I now feel that I would like to return and shop at Zadock. I can tell that this company truly cares about their customers. I’m very pleased that they have taken the time to try and make things right. I hope to come back in soon, and then be able to give them all 5 stars!

Terrible customer service. I’ve visited this jewelry store twice with full intentions of making a purchase. Each time I was treated as if I did not belong there. The woman ‘helping’ me was extremely snobby. I will never attempt to shop here again.

Sarah is truly amazing in helping me find my perfect ring. I have went to multiple stores and no one would even talk to me because I look young. Of course my budget wasn’t little. I had a pretty high budget so I always appreciate when a sales rep comes and help me without assuming I’m young or don’t have money. We were pretty sold at our second visit and she has been so helpful. Now I have my perfect diamond. I will come back here and upgrade in a few years :) I definitely recommend this place!

My experience at Zadok was beyond incredible. Nancy helped me every step of the way, and I could not have been more pleased with the quality of service I received from her from the day I stepped into Zadok.
I had visited several jewelry stores before choosing Zadok, and there was one thing in particular that differentiated Zadok from the others — they were literally at my service every step of the way, but without any pressure whatsoever. I had visited a jewelry store nearby before stopping at Zadok, and there was a particular ring by Simon G which I really wanted to see in person, however the store didn’t have it available. I was basically told «sorry, this is all we have» at this other jewelry store. However, within minutes of explaining the same thing to Nancy at Zadok, she had the phone in her hand speaking with a Simon G representative — a sample of the ring I wanted to look at was delivered overnight and I was able to look at it at 11 AM the next day. This is just one of many examples of the exceptional service I received at Zadok.
As for the diamond, there was ZERO pressure or obligation to buy the diamond from Zadok. Nancy explained that her main goal was to help me design the exact ring I wanted, whether it meant the diamond came from Zadok or somewhere else. With that said, I had done extensive research and searching on my own to find the exact stone I wanted. After hearing about the great prices
had to offer, I ended up choosing a stone within my budget from Blue Nile and ordered it. I let Nancy know I ordered the stone from elsewhere, and I showed her the GIA report in the event she could find a similar stone within the same price range. Within one day, Nancy came back with a BETTER stone that was less expensive than what I purchased on Blue Nile. Needless to say, I returned the Blue Nile stone and purchased the setting as well as the diamond from Zadok.
Nancy was literally there for me every step of the way — she responded to my calls even on her days off, if I had a question it was answered or looked into immediately, and she was able to ease any and all concerns I had during the ring designing process.
Reviews can often be biased and experience can vary from person to person, however based on my personal experience at Zadok, I would recommend this business to anyone looking to purchase an engagement ring for their significant other. The service I received from Nancy far exceeded my expectations, and the ring seriously blew me away. Needless to say, and most importantly, my fiancée loved the ring.

This is my favorite jewelry store in Houston. They’ve got a beautiful showroom and an enormous selection and the salespeople are really helpful in getting you exactly what you’re looking for. I love this place because it really feels like you’re paying for top quality jewelry comparable to something you’d get at Tiffany’s or De Beer’s, but you’re not paying extra for the brand name.

Fiancé we went to many places looking for the perfect 7 diamond ring. Apparently it didn’t exist anywhere other than here!
Stacy helped us pick the ring and was helpful and very accommodating towards our needs and requests. She didn’t push us into the purchase and gave us time to think about it and of course we came back!
We are so happy to have had such a wonderful experience here and will be back in the future!

This is an update to my previous review. Zadok’s and the owner did contact us subsequent to seeing my original review (same afternoon). They invited us back to see the ring that I was interested in, which was available in the store to preview (unlike what Gus informed us). We ended up buying the ring. It is a really beautiful ring and the service was much better. There are very few businesses who would take the time to respond to bad Unilocal reviews. For this, I absolutely applaud them. Although I appreciate the store’s efforts to rectify the situation personally, I noticed that there are other reviewers who had similar experience as I did. This is indeed unfortunate, and I hope no else has to go through the same ordeal in the future.

We had a solid experience here with our wedding bands. We were having a hard time finding what we wanted, but Zadok had a wide variety of bands… and we got exactly what we wanted during the wedding band event when the manufacturers came in with even more bands. We had some trouble with getting a partial refund processed when we changed metal types, but everything else was great.

Based on my experiences, Zadok Jewelers is my favorite jeweler in Houston. In my humble opinion, they have a great inventory to choose from whether you are looking for engagement rings or wedding bands, or just a special present. Moreover, my understanding is that they are Houston-​grown and Houston based, with the Zadok family members actually working in the store.
Whenever our family goes to this store to look for special pieces, we are for the most part promptly greeted and attended to with patience and care. There are certain salespeople, managers and brand visitors (super shout out to Sarah and Courtney as well as the Tacori brand rep who came out in Fall 2014!) who really know their stuff — and from their inventory, there appears to be a lot to know.
One major plus is that Zadok provided me with a FREE appraisal of my jewelry/​diamonds since we purchased them all at the store. Big savings and big convenience — they emailed me the appraisal AND sent me multiple copies in the mail.
Love this jeweler and I anticipate going here for most, if not all, of my jewelry needs.

I had been looking for a more appropriate watch for some time and was getting roped around with this deal is only good now etc…
I was greeted by Sarah (manager?) when I walked in and showed her a picture of a style that I liked. Without a second look she went a picked out THE watch, but never once pushed for the sale. She had me look at items even below and outside of my price range to be sure I was set on the watch she picked. Especially when it comes to jewelry shops, I have never experienced the attention to detail, genuine kindness and the amount of knowledge she knew about every intricate part/​design. Basically Sarah knows her stuff, won’t take up your time pushing a sale and honestly only wants you to leave happy if you don’t have much self control.

We only buy our jewelry here since my now husband purchased my engagement ring from them. You get what you pay for and the quality and service of Zadok’s is worth every penny and more. They also do our watch cleanings and repairs.

I always wanted a Tacori engagement ring and when I found out that I could get one right here in Houston I was more than elated! I emailed the address listed on the site and Meredith from Zadok’s replied. She was most pleasant and informative and advised that I visit the store to view the ring in person. After working a grueling day assisting my warehouse employees, bad hair day and all, my best friend met me at the store to view the ring. Meredith was unavailable but had another associate meet me. The only thing this young lady did not do was literally stick up her nose at me. The ring I found online was not as attractive in the store. She never offered to show me other rings, maybe by other designers that were similar. She didn’t walk me around the store to share other things Zadok’s had to offer. My best friend and I were left feeling extremely uncomfortable, as if our presence was unwanted. I’d had a rough day but my attire was nowhere near unpresentable. I left feeling dreary and cussed at David Tuterra for allowing me to think that ring shopping was suppoed to be exciting. The following day I emailed Meredith to graciously thank her for her time and explained what occurred. Jonathan Zadok ended up calling me to apologize but it was too late and the damage had been done.
This happened last August (or July) but the experience has stayed with me. Employers and their staff should never treat a customer how I was treated whether they ‘look’ like they can afford the sale items or not. My now husband and I were quite able to afford the rings were ended up buying. The only plus from this was that I found a Verragio ring that I fell completely in love with. A Verragio rep ended up sharing gratitude for my purchase with never meeting me. Imagine that!

Great selection, perfect experience and some of the nicest people in retail. It’s no wonder they’ve been THE Houston jeweler for as long as I’ve been alive.

I had a great experience overall getting an engagement ring here for my girlfriend (now fiancée); however, I have to admit it started off a bit rocky. The first time we walked into the store was at one of their Tacori events, and the saleswoman we initially approached was quite indifferent towards us, almost as if she was annoyed by our questions. For example, we asked if she could show us similar rings to a particular ring we were looking at, and she said there aren’t any other rings like it (a glance around the display cases would easily show this to be untrue). Normally my fiancée isn’t the type to speak up about bad service, so I was surprised when she asked for another person to help us, and that’s when Gilad Zadok came out to greet us and when our experience took a 180 degree turn.
Gilad introduced himself by his first name only and it wasn’t until I got his business card as I was leaving did I find out he is part of the Zadok family that owns and operates this eponymous jewelry store. This shows me that the family is dedicated to the business, and it’s true — I spotted most of the family members including the paterfamilias (Dror Zadok) and his wife numerous times during the months I was in and out of the store. Gilad was very friendly, attentive, down-​to-​earth, and I did not feel in any way pressured to buy. I took a very long time (approximately 2 months) to finally make my decision to purchase, and during that time we met often and communicated via text/​phone, and not once did I feel rushed. He was also very easy to talk to — we talked about watches, the jewelry business, stories of his own proposal, etc. I also felt like I could be candid with him about getting the very best price on my diamond, and mentioned that I was searching online for a loose diamond. When bringing something like this up to a salesperson, typically they get defensive, maybe a little frustrated, and give out some hilarious misinformation and dubious value-​adds of their own store to make an uninformed customer feel bad about an online diamond purchase (this actually happened at a… big engagement ring store here in Houston). However, Gilad in a classy way told me he understood why I was looking online, but asked me to give him a shot before I made a final purchase. I kept my end of the deal and gave him some stock numbers for some online diamonds I was about to pull the trigger on, he came back with an awesome diamond, and well, the rest is history (got both the ring and diamond there). I could go on about other stories where he went above and beyond, but I think I should probably stop here.
In summary, Zadok Jewelers, and in particular Gilad, exceeded my expectations and raised the bar of what a jewelry store experience should be like for me. If I had to really nitpick, it would be great if the other staff were a little more outgoing, friendly, and approachable. Sometimes I would come in and have to start the conversation myself, which gives the impression, whether they did or not, that the salespeople have evaluated you as not worth approaching. For most guys I think, jewelry stores can be a little intimidating, so it would be nice to have the ice broken with a warm welcome. In their defense, once you do approach them, they are very friendly — esp. the older gentleman. Still, this place deserves a five due to the great service I had here, and I hope to come here for my jewelry needs for as long as I live in Houston (and maybe even afterwards!).

Beautiful selection of fine jewels and watches… the hubs can find his favorite watch and well… everything is my «favorite» lol. Was surprised by the hubs with a gorg gorg ring that they customized on site. It was a wonderful buying experience, class act all the way.

A box from this store excites me. I much prefer it to the turquoise (by a factor of a zillion) or even the coveted orange one. My husband knows that. I’m a lucky woman. Men wake up. Most of us would prefer one whiz bang, over the top, omg, amazing present over a series if good, but hohum, ones. Better still, have them design something special just for her. And ladies, you can buy things for yourself you know.

My husband and I bought our wedding bands here and we couldn’t have been happier. They have an extensive selection ranging from classic plain precious metal (which is what we got) to stone-​studed beauties to custom designed greatness.
I had such a wonderful experience buying the wedding bands and getting them engraved that I now use Zadok for just about all of my jewelry needs: my occasional engagement ring tune-​ups, watch battery or band replacement, pearl restringing, appraisals, and anything else that comes up. Know why? Because they do a great job, they stand by their work and they are friendly and patient with indecisive people such as myself.
All this with the added bonus that you don’t have to deal with the Galleria. Keep up the great work, Zadok’s!
