Was having a hard time finding a nice nail place near spring branch. Pleasantly surprised by this place. It has a nice environment and the staff did a great job

So I wish I read the reviews on Unilocal before coming here. I came in for a pedicure. The staff were friendly and and the salon was clean and professional looking. The reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the nail technician cut into my skin twice. The second time she made my toe bleed so it was a pretty bad cut. She apologized and said it was because I had dry cuticles. I get pedicures regularly and not once has someone cut into my toe that badly. She didn’t even offer me a discount. I won’t be returning here again.

I live in Brenham, TX and was down here while my mother had an appointment at Memorial Herman Imaging Center. To kill time I came here to relax and get my nails done. I absolutely love this place. My pedicure and manicure were painted perfectly and the massages were absolutely amazing. They take there time to assure a great experience. I had gotten the Valentine pedicure and regular manicure with the $ 5 extra lasting polish.(Not shellac). Everyone was so nice and I will be making and extra trip down here just to get my nails done. From where I am it is very hard to find a place so great! Can’t wait to return! Very happy customer. :)

I just stopped by this salon for a quick pedi bc it is close to where I happened to be at the moment. I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist and then seated right away after selecting my color. My manicurist was very thorough and professional and did a fantastic job on my nails. According to the other reviewers this is not good for groups but under normal circumstances, this is a great salon.

This is not my usual nail salon, but I was meeting friends for nails and dinner(at Lupe Tortilla), so we decided to go here because it was close. Nice clean salon. Large space and cute chandlers. Nail techs all seemed pleasant enough, although I could tell they were talking about us at times and they kept banging the armrest into my hips! Mai did my shellac manicure(my first) and spa pedicure. Both were done well and so far my manicure has stayed good for two days(I don’t usually get manicures because I usually ruin them before I leave the salon!) I only have two issues. First, we told them when we came in we wanted shellac manicures and regular pedicures because we had dinner reservations in an hour and 15 minutes, but they kept pushing more services, knowing that we were under time pressure and we were clear about what we wanted. Second, my girlfriend who came with me got a broken massage chair. She told the lady who appeared to be in charge and even though they had just started, they did not offer to move her to one of the 20 or so open chairs! The lady in charge just said that chair is broken sometimes! Well, then, DON’T SEATPEOPLETHERE! I think they could have offered her a small discount at least. Overall, I would go back if near there, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for an $ 80 underwhelming experience. 2.5 stars at best.

Avoid this salon. We had a birthday party for 9 girls(6 years old) here. I don’t go here regularly, but it is always empty and next door to Southwells(where my daughter wanted to have dinner & cake with her friends afterwards) so we chose this salon for her party. The day before, the manager insisted I put a $ 50 deposit down to hold our reservation and said that was the only way she would have 9 people available for the party to do the girls nails. She was not friendly. I agreed and gave her a check. When we got to the party the next day, there were 3 people available. Yes… THREE! For the first 30 minutes of the party the other 6 girls just had to sit in a chair and wait. It put our whole schedule behind. Bad management and I definitely know now why this place is always empty. We won’t return. Never have a party here!!! There are so many better nail salons that appreciate your business!

The salon was very clean and uncluttered, unlike a lot of nail salons. The receptionist was friendly and smiling, which is also rare! A lot of their nail polish colors did seem old and thick, however you could tell this just by looking at it so it seems like common sense not to choose a color that looks like its going to go on thick(even though they should be thrown away, whatever). Sandy did my manicure, and she was AWESOME. She was quick and very good, my nails look fantastic. She was very friendly and talked more to me than any other manicurist has before. My mani lasted about 30 minutes, which I was happy about because I hate when they drag on forever. I want my nails done, but I don’t want to be in the salon for an hour. They even gave me a discount on paraffin wax because I needed it so bad and didn’t want to pay too much extra for it! I’ll be going back next pay day to get my toes done. It’s not the best salon in the world, however I was very pleased and the prices are awesome as well!

Ugh. Was given a gift certificate here when I had my baby. Was not able to use it within the one year stated on the certificate so went in today, and showed it to them and asked if they would honor it. Sure, pick your color. I did, sat down in chair and then after the lady started, the lady who had originally told me they’d honor the certificate said the manager had said no. The manager was right there when I asked. I guess they were assuming I’d just accept it and pay. No thank you. I asked the lady to stop removing my polish, apologized to her and then left. There’s a much better and cheaper place across the freeway right next to the warehouse store. I will not return to Valentine. And please don’t buy their gift certificates!
