Walgreens

Visited to get refills for two prescriptions and they stated it would take 15 minutes to wait. One hour later and after they had filled prescriptions that came in after mine, my prescriptions were ready. But they only partially filled at 30 days worth, instead of the full 90 prescription. Would give zero stars if Unilocal let me.

Gosh, I want to love this Walgreen’s so much, because I live so close. Just can’t.
They’ve completely remodeled the cosmetics area, which is beautiful now. Trouble is, everything now starts at eye level and goes down to the floor. So to view any items, you have to crouch down, pick up items, get back up, move to the next area, and repeat. Almost everything is stored so low you can’t just look at it. Terrible design.
And then… the employees. I wrote this first review in 2011, and they’ve been terrible ever since.
I spend a lot of time in other parts of Houston, and other Walgreen’s have employees who actually answer your questions and help you. Um, here, notsomuch.

I read reviews prior to going to this Walgreens clinic and I was a bit apprehensive. I was greeted by Lauren, NP a few minutes after I registered on the kiosk. Lauren was extremely friendly and professional. Lauren explained insurance aspects for the services that I requested so that I could make an informed decision. She also advised me that two of the services I was requested would interact with one another and suggested I only receive one of the services and return for the other. As a medical social worker that has worked in hospitals and clinics, I appreciated her thorough explanations. Thanks Lauren. Know you are appreciated.

During the day the staff is usually pretty polite, welcoming me when I arrive, asking me if I need help, and polite upon check out– as good customer service should be. At night there is one woman who works the counter, a heavier set African American woman who is SO RUDE. I’m an extremely polite person, raised to be polite even to those who were not polite to me. The first time I thought maybe she was just having a bad night so… pass, no big deal. Then again, & again, to the point where at this point I’m questioning myself or if I’d done something wrong or because I’m tattooed that she was judging me? Who knows. I’ve literally counted the last 10 times that I’ve been in and she has been SO INCREDIBLY RUDE that I actually felt the need to complain and take my business elsewhere after having come to this store for the past 10 years. If you hate your life, I’m really sorry. But a polite customer doesn’t deserve to be treated so poorly and you should probably leave that poor attitude at home. I hope management takes my complaint and if their are others because I’m sure there are, into consideration.

This Walgreens is literally 3 minutes away from my house so naturally I end up going there quite a bit wether it’s to buy some late night snacks or to rent a redbox dvd. It’s open 24 hours a day which can be very handy in some cases! The store itself literally just got a facelift less than a week ago, they installed brand new cashiers! It’s very clean and organized however the night staff can be pretty rude, now I understand that nobody wants to work the graveyard shift but it certainly isn’t my fault and they could make a little effort to be somewhat polite, I’m not expecting a warm «welcome to Walgreens sir» but at least don’t roll your eyes or sigh at me when I’m trying to pay with Apple pay through my phone!

My experience in-​person has usually been okay, but my calls to the pharmacy staff have mostly been unpleasant which is why I’m rating this three stars. Longest wait time, and unmotivated, unwelcoming staff makes me not look forward to calling in for whatever special needs I have.

I liked the good olé days when nobody welcomed you to Walgreen’s and you were free to peruse the merchandise. It’s no wonder many of us are buying our razors and antacids on line. When I go through the drive-​through sometimes the clerks seem a bit indifferent, like they don’t give a rip.

Pharmacy is extremely slow and lazy. They are incompetent and in inconsiderate. I will never fill any prescription here or any Walgreens again and will spread the word.

Overall not that great of a place. Kinda dirty and the bum by the front door did not help. The items were limited, seemed like they were out of everything I needed. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

Finally a Walgreens that knows how to transfer a prescription from one Walgreens to another. I would love to give them 5 stars but when I went to pick up my Rx today (it was ready on Sunday), they said that I couldn’t get it because it wasn’t going to be covered with my insurance. The tech said I was too early on getting my meds and i would have to wait if I wanted my insurance to cover it. Ok, no problem but why didn’t anyone call me to tell me that? It would have been great to know that before making the trip to Walgreens.

I went in to find the game of Yahtzee since I had forgotten mine at home, but sadly they did not have it. I thought it was odd to be watched by an employee at the entrance/​exit. I wondered if she didn’t have anything else to do or if they have a lot of theft that they have to watch for. Either way, it was uncomfortable to be watched like that. The male attendant at checkout was slow and unfriendly.

I am new in town and haven’t established a primary doc yet so I came to this Walgreens to use the medical clinic and I had a really good experience. The store was clean and organized, so the overall environment was good. But the clinic itself was also good: the staff was friendly and professional, and the office where you see the practitioner was also clean. Overall, a decent experience and I would recommend this store and its services.

After years of being a regular here, the review is due. As with all Wal-​Greens, you can find perfume to things to cover smells. My experience has been that the service is spotty, but typically good. The store is clean and it is very corporate — no character at all — just the diagram that corporate sent and they followed. That being said, it is good to know what is to be expected and for it to be delivered. I touch down here several times a week for things from condoms to condiments — gotta be safe.

Horrible customer service in pharmacy department! I have also called several times, again not well spoken, professionally. Once the line is answered they place you on hold for ever! I have this pharmacy a chance, but it’s very frustrating. I will be changing pharmacy, there is a cvs close to thee area. Will give it a try.

Terrible service. Signed in when the clinic was empty. After ten minutes one patient left the room. The PA then closed the door and stayed inside by himself for another 15 minutes, at which point he came out and sauntered past me (avoiding eye contact). After a few more minutes, I went looking for him in the store and found him browsing the Pepperidge Farm cookies! Lazy. Inattentive. No adult supervision. Avoid. There are plenty of other quick clinic options in the neighborhood.

Pharmacy is awful and the store is dirty. If it wasn’t down the street from my house I would never go — very frustrating experience!

I’m not sure who does the hiring here at Walgreens but the employees range from weird and socially awkward to just down right rude… This store is not the cleanest either…
Come on guys you can do better than that…

I am grateful for this Walgreen’s location! I can get here from my apartment without getting on a main road. A few stop signs and I’m there. I love that if I’m too lazy to go grocery shopping they always have fresh organic milk and lunch meat for me to grab.
The cosmetic department is my vice. I can kill a lot of time looking at makeup and nail polish. They even have Essie nail polish, which is a great brand that I am excited to see at Walgreen’s.
Overall convenient and great staff.

I’ve never had a problem at this Walgreens. I’ve had prescriptions filled within 15 minutes while waiting. My husband and I use the Redbox outside at least 1 – 2 times a month. I’ve used their Take Care Clinic and the intake process was simple, but it turned out they couldn’t treat what I had. My insurance wasn’t charged and they told me exactly who I needed to see.
Parking here can be crazy. There is PLENTY of parking, but I’ve had several near misses with soccer moms trying to run me over with their Escalades getting into the spots closest to the doors. Honey, the extra 5 second walk won’t kill you.
If you’re going to use the Redbox, I suggest using the iPhone app to reserve your movie first and then pick it up. The lines can get long, and all the new releases are usually gone at peak times.
