I have been a home inspector for 17 years, coming from a background of engineering, carpentry, and energy conservation work. I’ve been very active in the American Society of Home Inspectors New England chapter, and have served as chairman of the Communications Committee, member of the Educational Committee, and was on the Board of Directors for several years. I pride myself in being very thorough, honest, non-​biased and independent of any real estate agents. I feel treating people kindly and like family has been one of the most important factors to my success as a home inspector. I am also a professional folk musician, singer, and songwriter and am active in the local folk music and open mike community.

Paul was great! He was extremely thorough and treated the home inspection like it was for his own investment. He walked us through each step and advised on items as we came across them, whether it be on function or repair that might be required. We went through each space and reviewed every aspect of the home and I am sure we found items that other inspectors might have not seen. Unfortunately we were unable to come to terms with the seller and we decided to back out of the deal. Fortunately, we did not buy a home that had too many problems to count and we were able to limit our loss that way.

Paul is extremely thorough and truly works on the buyer’s behalf. We recently had 2 home inspections done in Harvard MA and found things that I believe others would have overlooked. He was also available after the inspection and report to answer questions. It was money well spent. The sellers conceded to many of the major things he noticed and documented.

My wife and I used Harmony Home Inspection of MA for our new home inspection in March of 2016. Paul did a great job. He took the time to explain every detail of the inspection and was extremely thorough in his review of the property. Paul found some details that we never would have seen on our own, and in turn we were able to negotiate with the home owner to repair the items prior to closing. I would recommend Paul & Harmony to anyone who is looking to have their home inspected. Best in class in my opinion!

Used Mr. Rogoshewski for the first time on a home in Woburn. He showed up promptly, at the time requested and spent 4.5 hours looking over the place from top to bottom. He did things like put a pressure meter on the front outside faucet, and filled the tub with water to ensure the prospective homeowner could get a tub bath out of the furnace/​hot water heater. Extremely detailed and thorough. Friendly, approachable, and has a breadth of knowledge. If you don’t want to experience the horror of «buyer’s remorse,» hire Paul to do your next home inspection. Well worth the investment.

Paul was great! he did an inspection on our new house we bought in Southborough, MA recently. He took his time to go through entire house inside and out and he was able to detect big concerns and even the smallest issues that we would never think of. We ended up buying the house and so far everything is great! I would recommend him to anyone, very easy to work with. The inspection report was prepared on time and the best part that we were able to get the price down due to issues Paul discovered.

This was our third home inspection with Paul. He inspected our very first home purchase in Southborough in 2007. When we decided to move in 2015, my husband and I both agreed that we would find a different realtor than we had used originally, but that using Paul as our home inspector was an absolute must. Unfortunately, the deal on that house fell through due to issues unrelated to the inspection. When we found another home that fit our criteria, we of course called Paul.
Paul is very thorough and honest in his assessments. His reports are returned to us quickly, and are easy to read and reference. Our realtor tried to dissuade us from using him because his inspections take longer than average, but it was not negotiable.
Our last two inspections were new construction and it was just as valuable of an experience on that as it would be for an older home. He pointed out things that I had not noticed on previous visits that required immediate fixes, as well as things we need to watch out for once we move into the home.
A new home is a huge investment in both time and money. The cost of a home inspection is nominal compared to the overall value. I highly recommend Paul’s services.

Purchased in November and hired Harmony Inspection to perform the house inspection. Paul Rogoshewski clearly adheres to very high standards in his inspection practices. I am an attorney and a licensed realtor and have been present for many inspections. I first met Paul when he was performing an inspection for a Buyer in Marlborough. I was very impressed with his skill level and knowledge, so when I purchased recently, I contacted him. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and detail oriented in going through the house and explaining the various systems. The house is 150 years old so there was a lot of structural history to review. He identified key problems with the plumbing and the masonry to the chimney as well as the flue for the heating system which allowed us to obtain estimates of the cost of repairs prior to buying. His report was detailed and easy to understand. I recommend him highly to any prospective purchaser who is interested in making and informed purchase prior to their commitment to purchase.

Paul did an excellent job on our pre-​purchase home inspection in Watertown, MA. He was easy to work with and incredibly thorough. We were able to get some money back at closing because he identified some issues that we were not originally aware of. Given that, the inspection basically paid for itself. Months later, we still refer to his report to learn how our house works and identify projects/​upgrades.

Paul was very thorough with his inspection. He spent time to uncover both major and minor issues. All the issues he found came with suggestions on how to remedy them. His report will be our home project checklist for the next few years. He was also thoughtful enough to provide a «How to operate your home» book, this turned out to be a good reference for a new home owner. All in all we were very happy with the Paul’s work.

My interaction with Paul and Harmony Home Inspections of MA was exceptional from beginning to end. Paul was very pleasant and informative when booking the appointment and made the appointment fit into my schedule with ease. He followed up immediately with a detailed email with the contract and essential information to make the inspection go smoothly. At the appointment, Paul arrived promptly and was using the most up to date technology to conduct the inspection. We thoroughly went through the house from top to bottom and inside and out and I am confident there was nothing missed. After we had a detailed discussion on his observations and within 24 hours I had the full report and pictures in my email. I have bought and sold a lot of property over the years and can highly recommend Paul to do your next inspection if you expect a through well educated assessment of your potential house.

A home can be a money pit. We’ve learned from experience the hard way, that items missed during a home inspection can cost you after you’ve already plunked down most of your savings on a new home. So when it came time to buy our new home, we went with Paul, who came recommended from another great inspector, Bob Mulloy.
The home we are buying has a well and when it comes to wells, one has to be sure that the pressure is sufficient and that the water is pure. Most inspectors just do a quick 2 hour test, but the true test is 4 hours. This makes for a longer inspection, but Paul did it right. Paul found every piece of trim that needed paint, every window that needed repair, every misplaced tile and chipped floor board. His report was very extensive and informative and while a lot of the inspection never made it to the seller’s as a request for fixing, the knowledge that we now have about our new home going forward will allow us to invest properly in our new home.
The cost for Paul was higher however, you do get what you pay for. Anyone who has watched «Holmes on Homes» knows that people sometimes save a buck on a cheap inspector or contractor only to have poorly constructed home that not only will cost you as you own it, but maybe Paul will be the inspector for the next people who try and buy your home from you down the road! Now legally you’ll have to disclose all of the defects your inspector missed the first time around!
Finally, the report format Paul uses (some sort of PDF Powerpoint) makes it easy to forward to your agent, the seller’s/buyer’s agent, and the mortgage attorneys if need be. Knowledge is power.
