White Birch Catering And Banquet Hall

Oh boy, we ended up here on a Sunday only because the other breakfast places in town were jammed and we were hungry. I should have known when we walked in that quality might be lacking. The atmosphere is dowdy, dirty and downright depressing. Here is a breakdown of the experience.
Service: We had to seat ourselves since nobody could be bothered to greet us. (there was only one other table occupied). We waited awhile until our waitress sauntered over to ask if we wanted something to drink. We did, she left and never returned with our drinks. Finally another waitress walked by and asked if we needed anything. Neither one had said a word about the buffet or any other offerings available.
Food: We looked at the omelet/​carving station only to see a hunk of dried out, un-​identifiable meat, a canister of liquid eggs (not real eggs) and soggy, waterlogged veggies. Pass!
Over to the buffet to find liquid/​powdered scrambled eggs, dried out, clearly pre-​frozen breakfast meats, canned hash and trays of burnt things. I took one bite of the eggs and that was enough. Really, really bad.
Back to service: Our waitress, when flagged down came over to give us the check (never clearing, offering refills or any other «service) and when I showed her my full plate and asked her not to charge me for the food, gave me an eye roll and stomped away.
Oh and they have the nerve to charge 15.99 for this mess. Please save yourself from a terrible experience and avoid this place. Uuugghhh!

Attended a family function here this past Sunday. Food was delicious. We had baked stuffed chicken, roast beef, green beans, mashed potatoes, French fries, mixed vegetables, salad and warm rolls. For dessert there was apple crisp, blueberry crisp and brownies. I ate a lot. So why the two stars? (More like 2.5) The staff. They were not personable, made no real effort to make you feel welcome, and some were downright rude. The girls manning the bar were very unpleasant. And the drinks were terrible. Being pregnant I like to pretend I’m having a «drink» and order a Shirley Temple. It was awful. Soda water and grenedine. They’re supposed to be sprite or gingerale and grenedine. Oh well, it was free, so I drank it. This is the second time I’ve been here and the second time I’ve felt the staff was rude or just put-​out by clients. Hopefully this changes because the food is pretty good.
