A J’s Small Engine Repair

This place is horrible. Dropped off my pressure washer that was under warranty and they said it would be 2 weeks before they could look at it. I left it a bit skeptical. Went back after 3 weeks (because they never answer the phone) and was told they just looked at it that day and had to order a part. Waited 2 weeks and went back and they said they were sent the wrong part and how to get it resent. They finally called after 2 more weeks and finally got my pressure washer back 7 weeks later. And they make no apologies for it. Just a bunch of grumpy old men that work at tbe front desk.

They’ve done good work on my self propelled mower in the past and some of the employees are nice. The others, well they don’t seem very pleasant. A couple of gentlemen in there have seemingly permanent scowls on their faces and don’t make you feel welcome at all. Not in the very least. The last time we took our mower there for repair they charged us $ 320 to resharpen the blade replace the cabling for the drive unit and a couple other things as well such as oil change and air filter. We thought this to be somewhat high. After the fourth use the lawn mower drive lever jammed but since we were past our 30 day warranty they refused to even look at it. It may have even been something simple. They have no problem charging you high dollar for their repairs however when it comes to common courtesy and going the extra mile they just don’t seem willing or motivated at all. While they were resharpening the blade they didn’t even bother to clean the bottom of the deck which was encrusted with 2 inches of very old compacted grass. It’s details like that which bother me. Won’t be coming back anymore.
