Cupcake Fantasy by Horsham Bakery

I destroyed my attempts to make a cake for my sister’s baby shower. I called and spoke with Jamie less than 24 hours before the event. I had been told rudely and condescendingly by more than one other bakeries that it was impossible through their laughter, but Jamie was up to the task (though she did suggest next time I order sooner, but this was after even the cake was delivered and she didn’t even say it in the rude manner which she could have)! I had described the cake I wanted but did not send a picture. Instead, Jamie seemed to know exactly what i wanted, but followed up with a picture to ensure the design was correct — and it was EXACTLY so. Jamie was busy when we initially spoke, so she needed to call me back for the deposit. I worked that evening, but we communicated through text and she spoke with my husband, per my request once i realized i’d be unable to call her with it as work was busy, to facilitate the deposit. The following day, she delivered the stunning and delicious cake to our event, and everyone was commenting on how beautiful it was! Then, we got to eat it… and it was the best cake I, and many of my guests, had ever eaten from a bakery. Often I am used to dry and inedible cakes — but not this one! Based on my experience with Jamie, I cannot comprehend the poor experiences other reviewers have had. I will never use another bakery. I am going to attempt to get a personal picture of the beauty that was our purple ombré rose cake taken by a guest — but you can also see it on their site. The communication was incredible, I felt like a friend was making the cake for me. The cake was incredible. The design was incredible. Everything was incredible. I have RARELY if EVER had a custom order turn out as planned, but Cupcake Fantasy really stepped up and saved my skin for the baby shower.

I will never buy any cup cake here ever again… My daughter and I went to Cup cake fantasy in Richboro. I was very dissatisfied, the decorations are nice but the Icing/​frosting was too SWEET!!! I can actually taste the Crisco and sugar granules. My daughter trashed the cup cakes after she tasted them.

I decided to try this bakery after getting a mailer coupon for cupcakes. As it was my husband’s birthday, I decided to run by for a dozen cupcakes during a break in my schedule. The coupon stipulated that the offer was Monday-​Thursday only. On a Tuesday, I drove to Cupcake Fantasy to select the cupcakes only to find that they were CLOSED on Mondays and Tuesdays. Why a business would advertise a special for certain days, then be closed half of those days is beyond me. My time was wasted driving there, and I feel that the advertising was misleading. The only positive was having to look up another local bakery and being very pleasantly surprised by them (another review).

As someone in the culinary industry and has been for over a decade I would like to say that you Cupcake fantasy have seriously ripped off good people. The product you produced is A. Very amateur work B. is not the $ 60.00 that was paid for it. (I’ve seen better gender reveal cakes and wedding cakes from both Giant and Acme. I’ll be going there next time. C. You’ve made yourselves and everyone in the industry look bad… How dare you produce such a bad product and be and be an hour late to people having a once in a lifetime event. Your company is a joke your cake is joke and your skills are so lacking I know children that can bake better. The fact that you tried to justify you shoddy baking skills on facebook proves you are an amature at best and belong bakeing cakes from home for toddlers birthday parties or even in an easy bake oven. This cake is a travesty and so is your company. NOW EVERYONE IS GOING TO KNOW ABOUT IT. I GUARANTEE WE WILL NEVER USE YOU AMATURES AGAIN. ALSO FOLKS HERE IS A TIP: THIS PLACE IS AWFUL JUST AWFUL SO AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!

I have used this company on several occasions & have had nothing but great experiences with them. Thier cupcakes were fantastic & the flavors she uses are very unique & delicious. The cake has always been moist & made it worth the 40 minute trip I would have to take to get them.

I ordered a cake to celebrate my son’s high school graduation. I sent a photo of the cake and spoke with Jamie about it over the phone. It was to be a carved cake in the shape/​design of the Temple University «T». This cake was quoted at $ 65. This is much more than I would have spent on a sheet cake, but I felt that I was paying for the design and time it would take to carve and icing the cake. The day before I was to pick up the cake I received a phone call and was asked if they could deliver the cake because they were concerned that the icing would fall off if they boxed the cake and I transported it. I agreed and they delivered the cake. I was shocked when I opened the box and discovered a sheet cake with the Temple T on it. Definitely not what I ordered. I placed several phone calls to the bakery and left voicemails that were never returned. As a last resort, I sent a Facebook message which is below along with her responses.

Hi Jamie– I wanted to see if you received my message yesterday regarding the cake. I am confused about the design, I thought it was to be like the picture I sent you. Please get back to me. Thank you.

Hi there. I did just listen to your message. I suppose I wasn’t clear enough on the shape cut-​out when I left my team to this cake. I do apologize. I should have printed the picture so they could replicate it. Of course this didn’t affect the taste, and all of the elements that you wanted were included… you just got a bigger cake with the T on top versus a cut out T, and for that I would like to offer you a $ 20 credit to be used anytime in the future

I am surprised that you did not call me back directly, I feel that your FB reply was rude and showed me that you did not care about me as a customer. As a small business owner, I would have thought that you would be concerned that I did not receive the cake that I ordered and would have been a bit more apologetic. While the cake was delicious, it was in essence a decorated sheet cake that I could have ordered from Costco for $ 18. (They do customize and I have used them before). I wanted a «cake creation» that included a «WOW» factor, which is why I ordered the special cake from you and paid $ 65 for it. I would have NEVER paid that much (or even $ 45) for the cake that I received. The size of the cake was not an issue, there were only 14 people and I now have half of the cake sitting in my refrigerator. A $ 20 discount on a future order does not help me at all. Why would I reorder from someone who did not give me what I ordered and paid for and then failed in their response to me? I am so disappointed in this encounter.

If you feel that my response was rude in anyway, I sincerely apologize. It was the complete opposite!!! I literally do NOT have 1 minute to spare today, as we are crazy busy. I will respond, (if you’d like, by phone) at length when I get a minute, and will make this right by you. My FB apology was sincere, and I thought you would interpret it as just that!
