I brought them my 1972 Chevy C10 for a complete over-​hall. Chris and Brian are very educated and walked me through the whole process on what steps I should take to get my truck where I want it to be. We started with the suspension and steering, these guys did such a great quality job and even went out of the way to help clean up my chassis and did not even charge me extra for it!!! I am very satisfied with the work that was done to my truck. Chris has excellent customer service and would call me and update me frequently on the progress with my truck. Very honest and straightforward which seems harder to find these days in a shop.

Just took my 1964 Nova in for some tuning work. Brian and Chris could not have been more accommodating. Extremely pleased with the work done and communication! Very clean shop as well! I highly recommend Chimera Motors.

I took my 74 camaro to get some things fixed so I can drive my baby again. Man how I wish I knew about these guys sooner. Great customer service and they are really honest when it comes down to the repairs your vehicle will need and won’t try to force repairs that aren’t needed on you like other shops do. It turns out I’m going to have to cough up extra money to get the mistakes that the other mechanics did on my car fixed but the guys here at chimera were able to work with me and help me figure out what I will need to get done first so I can get the car or in the street again. They went above and beyond to try and get my car in running condition despite the fact that I am running the car with some wrong parts on it. They would always keep me up to date on the progress of my car and would work with me on the options I had to get some of the work done on the budget I had. All in all I had a great experience with them and will definitely be bringing my car to them again to get everything fixed right. Like I said I wish I knew about these guys sooner as they are very knowledgeable about classic cars. If you have a old school car that needs some work done do not hesitate to bring it to chimera motors. You will not regret it.

Took my 68 Chevy here for the one area of a car that I’m unfamiliar with (transmission). Ive dealt with enough shops around OC to know quality from crap and this place is top notch. When dealing with 50+ year old cars you expect a few things to go wrong along the way. What you want is a shop that will keep you in the loop, won’t cut corners, give you options, and fix it right. For someone who prefers to work on there own cars I highly recommend checking this place out if your getting over your head with your project. Im sure to be back!

Highly recommend chimera motors. These guys are the best classic car mechanics in Orange County. Chris and Brian know what they are doing and are season experts who know the ins and outs of cars. If you have a classic car that needs work I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it to Chimera Motors in Huntington Beach.

I got my brakes done here on a 2011 Mercedes. It was ½ the cost of the estimate I received from the dealership, and the work was performed perfectly. Mercedes are not fun cars to work on, and the parts are SO expensive. Chimera was knowledgable, friendly, quick, and competitively priced. I 100% will return here for all of my car needs.

Chimera Motors is without question the premier location for all your classic car needs. They have years of experience, the latest automotive technology, and outstanding customer service. I brought in my 1974 dodge dart as a hot rod project. I had a complete motor swap performed. They dropped in a 440 big block which required a lot custom fabrication and modification to the body, motor, and misc parts. They installed a brand new wiring harness, transmission, headers, radiator, carburetor, alternator and rear end. They did beautiful custom body work, rust repair, paint, stereo and interior which came out just as I envisioned. Besides being skilled in technical aspects they did a fantastic creative job of seeing my end vision for the car and bringing it to life. All work was completed on time and I came in even a little under my original budget. The shop is easy to find with signage visible from the street. You can’t miss the owner Chris who is a striking Nordic figure resembling actor Chris Hemsworth standing tall with long blonde flowing lochs and possessing the countenance of «Thor, God of Thunder». Chris and Bryan from Chimera are great guys who do quality automotive work. I am happily referring all of my friends and family there as they also perform normal car service and repair.

Took my 71 Camaro here for an engine swap and was so happy with the friendly crew and the quality of work, I ended up having them them overhaul the entire car. They patched a few rusted panels, installed a new wiring harness and air bags. They went above and beyond with the suspension rebuild as well, making everything look beautiful more than I asked for, simply because Bryan couldn’t let it go without having it perfect. Highly recommend Chimera for any classic car work. P

I brought my Sonata in for some maintenance after having a bad experience at the dealership service dept, and had an awesome experience at Chimera Motors! They have really nice and honest people who tell you exactly what your car needs without making you feel like you are being up sold. After many failed attempts to find a great auto shop for my car troubles, I now have a place I can trust!
