Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa

What an amazing resort. To start, the service here is amazing. We were first greeted by Lauren who was very sweet and helpful and answered all of the questions we had. Our room was very clean and had a great view of the pool/​ocean. The pools and hot tubs here are amazing. If you like to relax in a hot tub like me, there’s even an area that is dedicated to it with three large hot tubs. Every day they have activities for kids that are free. The resort has a crosswalk to the beach which is very convenient. Definitely worth the price of going here!!! No complaints. Happy vacationing :)

First, we have stayed at Hyatt’s from San Diego to Hawaii and all have been above and beyond our highest expectations. The Huntington Beach location is beautifully manicured and well maintained. This is a little stay-​cation for our daughters birthday. I just don’t think they are ready for the summer season. Front desk let us know they are closing the bridge tonight late to do maintenance at 10 pm to 5:30am, ok got it, no problem as long as they aren’t using major power tools.
1. Check in was ok but seemed a little surly, no problem, everyone’s starting vacations and it seemed busy. The complimentary water were out. Not a big deal but shaky start.
2. Room was nice overlooking the pool but there is a random purse that is emptied with no wallet or ID, call the front desk ask if the room was finished being cleaned and told them about the bag and was told a supervisor would call my wife Kelly right back. Almost an hour later call down again, no apologies just, «Oh, they were supposed to get back to you, we’ll send someone up». Almost 2 hours later Zachary, the original supervisor my wife talked to came up and said, «I’ll take that, the room was thoroughly cleaned» and left! Um, no it wasn’t and now she feels unsafe in what should be a 5 star hotel. This isn’t a budget hotel and a lot more should have gone into making us feel safe and wasting 2 hours of our time!
3. Let’s go to the beach. Employee tells us we can’t use the bridge to the beach because of a private event. What, what? Oh, by the way our youngest daughter is in a walking boot after hurting her foot, let’s make her walk all the way down the stairs and along PCH, down to the corner to the crosswalk half a mile away. That would be something you disclose on check in.
Still here but with a very bitter taste and my wife is not happy, which means no one is happy, she always finds a rainbow but not today. Thanks for the very expensive lesson Hyatt Huntington Beach. Guarantee you will not be on our list for any recommendations or our next local trip. How far is the Hilton Waterfront…
P. S. I would consider adding a shuttle to Pacific City since the Resort Fees are so much, it would be a good gesture.

This was our third time at this place. The rooms were great, always clean and comfortable. What took it over the top tonight was the fact that threw the hotel you can rent a fire pit on the beach. They set it up, maintain the fire. Some beverages and snacks. It was great. But what made it perfect was the two guys that helped us tonight. They were so professional, they went so far above the call of duty.
This hotel has been know for great service. But these two guys made it special.

I really cannot state much expect we had a nice room overlooking the pool and ocean views… was there for less than 12 hrs. Would love to had used the pool since you’re charged «resort fees»
Be careful valet parking is very high might want to check meters and/​or public parking.

I went to a wedding reception at Hyatt Regency HB yesterday. It was fine, no complaints.
However, valet parking is NOT OKAY. I’m not sure what kind of training is in place but the attendant who brought my car back did something to my car! Now the windows on my minicooper will not roll back up. Additionally, there are two lights turned on at the dashboard!
Why would they roll down the windows when my air was turned on full blast? I’ve made two calls and have not received a call back from the manager. I was told last night he would be in. How busy can he be? He’s not the one parking cars.
I am livid. This is such an inconvenience and now, if they do not do anything about this, It will be an added expense on top of having to take time off to get the repair work done! Not good, Hyatt Regency! I really would like for someone to reach out to me.
The ONE STAR rating is just so I can continue to post this review on Unilocal.

The best meal I’ve had in a long time! The menu is creative, thoughtful, and delivers on flavor. The service is impeccable; ask for Aimee, she is not only professional, but one of the the most charismatic people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Ashlee, the manager, stopped by multiple times to make sure our meal was unbelievable. I could not have imagined nor asked for a better experience. We will be back, you have some dedicated new regulars!

Greatest hotel spa in Orange County, California. From the staff to the amenities this place has it all. The food at there restaurants are delicious and the bar are happening. The views from the rooms give you a view of the Pacific Ocean are spectacular and very comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take a vacation even if for one night.

I stayed here during the U. S open last summer and it was stunning. The resort was beautiful and I really felt like I was on a tropical getaway here.

What to even say about this hotel to do it justice…
First off, let me say, I work in the hotel industry so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to where I stay. And this place is off the charts perfect.
The grounds are beautiful, stunning really. The rooms are well-​appointed, spacious and the best part — they ALL have balconies! Mine happened to overlook the pool and ocean. Incredible.
The staff is attentive and helpful at every turn — valet, bell, concierge, front desk, housekeeping. They all really seem to enjoy working there. How could you not?
My favorite part is once I parked my car for my three-​night stay, there was no need to ever drive it. Everything I needed was on site (spa, dining, grocery, pool, bike rental) or within walking distance (beach, restaurants, downtown HB.)
I haven’t even left yet and I’m already plotting my next trip back. If I could, six stars would be in order here!

I had to work at this hotel for my client. First thing in the morning, one of banquet employee comes up to me and greets me. He asked me if I needed anything and brought me a mocha coffee for FREE! Wow! I finally found out his name was Pranthna and he was so nice that I tipped him and while he refused, I insisted that he’d take it. It’s nice to know that at least one person at the hotel goes out of his way to be so nice. I’ll definitely remember him the next time I return.

I cannot add to the abundant 5 star reviews that are on here as the day we were there visiting our friends who were staying here, the big slides were out for maintenance and the only slide that was there was the baby slide. Unfortunately, our friends were not informed about this prior to booking.
Plus, it was extremely windy so we could not go to the beach and make use of the bridge connecting the hotel to the beach.
The only thing we got to use was their pool and that was pretty small and unexciting.
I really think they should post their pool maintenance schedule on their website & reduce their rates instead of having disappointed hotel guests.
Honesty is the best policy, right?

2^nd time here; had to use the last of our Hyatt points, so we booked it again for a trip out to see the Big Bang Theory. It’s located in a pretty quiet area right across from the beach. The resort itself is average, but the setting bumps it up a notch. Staff are also very nice.
The only notable downsides: the beds have been uncomfortable and the pillows are terrible (pancake into a flat lumpy mess) on both visits. Valet parking and the resort fee are a complete ripoff, but that’s the case anywhere you go.
Good option for the area; recommend.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa over the weekend for my cousin’s bachelorette party. We had a 4^th floor suite overlooking the courtyard with the fountains and a peek-​a-​boo view of the Huntington Beach bridge over PCH and the Pacific Ocean. Despite being rainy on Saturday, we enjoyed dinner at Watertable in the evening. We also spa day on Sunday morning at Pacific Waters Spa. This resort is massive! There is no self-​parking on site unless you want to park across the street in one of the overnight beach lots for $ 30. The overnight valet parking is $ 36 per night. Valet parking is $ 20 normally and you can pay a reduced fee if you have an appointment at the spa or dining plans at Watertable.
The room we had was spacious and just happened to be one of the ADA compliant rooms on the property. There was a king sized bed and in the adjoining living room there was a pull out sleeper sofa with a full sized bed. The room had two full bathrooms and two closets. There were plenty of extra towels, blankets, pillows, and we even requested additional linens from the Front Desk. There was a very long balcony with furniture just outside the sliding glass doors and a refrigerator/​bar area. The room was comfortable for our bachelorette weekend and we had a blast. Everyone we encountered was really amiable and friendly. Thanks to the staff at Hyatt Regency HB for making our stay enjoyable and memorable.

We stayed here for 16 nights in April 2014 and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Great resort beautiful large resort excellent customer service and grand rooms, fire pits and fireplaces spread throughout and awesome 3 different pools and nice water slide and 1 foot pool for the kids was an added bonus, excellent service even at the pool side, well worth every dime, beach is right there and beautiful water fountains throughout, definitely will be coming back.

Overnight short stay at this resort and spa, hotel is literally across the street from the beach, there is a bridge connecting the resort ground to the beach, location is perfect. Due to our late arrival and appointment at the spa, we didn’t get to explore the resort and check out the pool. The ground is huge and beautiful, very family and children friendly, we did see lots of families everywhere for Spring break vacation.
Our room was spacious enough for a night, a balcony with views of courtyard and part of the pool. Bathroom was big too, nice basic amenities. In room safe was tiny, small refrigerator with 2 complimentary bottle waters. Ordered late night room service, Margherita pizza and fries were very delicious.
Services were top notch during our entire stay, all staffs were very friendly and professional. This is a great resort for family vacations, definitely one of the top choices when you travel to Huntington Beach!

As a bride, I really appreciated the professionalism and attentiveness of the Hyatt Regency Staff. Every email I sent was replied to within the day or two days if it was the weekend. Although I booked an outside wedding coordinator, Mark Albitz (Events Sales Manger) was able to accommodate my requests. I had a large party during the tasting (I was indecisive about the food since my husband wasn’t able to attend the tasting) so I invited my ushers and parents along. I was only able to attend the tastings on the weekend, and Mark took it all in stride and we had a happy and tasty time.
It’s cliché, but my wedding really turned out to be everything I dreamed of! Every one of my guests had only good things to say about the catering. The grounds are beautiful and super relaxing. My pictures turned out wonderful, and even got published on Elizabeth Anne Designs. The only setback was that I forgot to put my veil down because I was too excited to walk down to my groom haha! To top it off, Mark really ensured I had the best day of my life as he upgraded my husband and I to the presidential suite for night! Now THAT’S service! Andrew and I are looking forward to staying with the Hyatt Regency ASAP! I have only good things to say about planning my wedding with the Hyatt. Thanks again to a wonderful team. A+!!

Definitely a 5-​star experience. I could not be happier with our stay. It was a sort of last minute decision to get away for the 3-​day President’s Day weekend knowing temps were expected to reach the 80s. I am so glad we did.
Extremely friendly staff. Beautiful, immaculate grounds. Enormous property… could spend the day just at the resort. Incredible location– the beach is directly across the street (across a nice pedestrian bridge) and the main part of HB is just a 5 minute walk away.
Tower 15 Pizza was delicious. Salt water, heated pool… tropical hot tub «garden»…koi pond… on site beach rentals. I just can’t say enough. We will definitely spend another extended weekend at this Hyatt. Thank you, Hyatt staff!
One note– parking at the beach is easy and convenient. Just grab a decal from the valet services and you will pay at the lot entrance gate for your entire stay. We found it is super convenient since we didn’t want to lug all our beach gear up to our room just to grab a bite for lunch. Just put it in the car in the lot and head to town!
Don’t believe the valets when you pull up. They will try to convince you that there is only the choice to valet. And when I mentioned that I was going to park at the beach they tried to convince me that beach parking is a hassle and not at all convenient. Not true. $ 15 a night, with in-​and-​out freedom until 9pm. At least for the weekend we were there…
That’s all.

What a great place. Wonderful hotel. The amenities for families were awesome. The best part was the staff. Everyone one treated us so nicely. Rodriquio was a bartender by the pool. He was so great. Even sent us up a present to our room. Bottle of wine and chocolate cake. Because it was our grandmas 90 th birthday. We will be back again.

I am writing this review not as a vacationer, but as a conference-​goer. As with so many resorts that double as conference centers, it’s pretty bad for the purpose.
First, the good. The rooms are huge and opulent. The complementary spa is beautiful. The beds are comfortable, the shower heads are jet engines – 2.5 gallons per minute, my foot! – and every room has a balcony. Heck, the bathroom is bigger than a hotel room I once had in Paris.
The trouble is, from a conference standpoint, it’s too fancy for its own good. Time is at a premium for a conference-​goer, and oftentimes attendees are incentivized to minimize their incidental costs. Here, it fails miserably.
One obvious example: this hotel does not have microwaves. Attempting to microwave something resulted in 20 minutes of run-​around, lots of confused stares, and eventually a $ 50 credit. That $ 50 credit doesn’t help me one bit, because my company is paying for the hotel. The outcome for me is lost time and nothing else.
Another: the only available parking is a $ 35-​per-​day (!) valet service, on par with midtown Manhattan. If you want your car, you will wait 5 minutes. If you forget your phone in your car, you will wait 5 minutes. If you want to go to the supermarket, which is 2 minutes away, you might do better walking. This is not a good plan if you have 40 minutes for lunch.
They certainly go out of their way to make you feel special. There is a guy here whose only job, as far as I can tell, is to hold the front door open all the time. But when you’re here to hear talks, you don’t care about that at all. And as long as they are gunning for conference business, they deserve to have some stars dinged on that count.

I can not even wait to max out my credit card and stay here again. Pricey but obviously expected for the area, view and amenities. Absolutely worth every penny. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving and we’ve honestly never stayed in a place as nice as this so we considered this pretty fancy. Parking is quite expensive but it’s valet and they bring your car to you any time day or night so I understand.
Ordered room service on Thanksgiving morning because no place was open for breakfast. Best idea ever. The food was so good and cooked perfectly. The woman who brought the food was also friendly and happy especially being that she was working on Thanksgiving. Even the woman who cleaned our room was friendly and pleasant. All around great employees who are all willing to take that extra step in customer service.
Food, shops, beach (there is a little bridge from the hotel that takes you right to the beach that we did not see and we walked around the entire place so FYI there’s a bridge) and coffee all nearby. The view from our room was amazing of course. Awesome to wake up to an ocean view and even more so being that I live in Arizona.
I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this place and I can not wait to go back.

This beautiful hotel is located in Huntington Beach California. From the moment I checked in I new it would be a 5 star experience. I had fried my cell phone charger in route and the concierge was able to supply me with one.
The room was big and spacious and I lucked out with an ocean front room. There was a balcony that had two chairs and a table so you could sit out there and enjoy coffee or a meal.
On site there are a few restaurants and shops (albeit the shops and grocery type store are very pricy).
The hotel is just across from the beach and there is a walkway that takes you right over. The workout room is nice too (although was a bit hard to find at first)
I would definitely go back!

VENUE: High end looking resort complete with lots of palm trees and well kept grounds. Pool area and beach access by crossing the bridge with free chair, towel, and umbrella rental. Restaurants although pricey are just outside the resort and some shops and a small grocery type store. Convention building is just outside. Rooms are in a different building from the check in building. Yes front lobby has cucumber or fruit infused water.
Concierge desk allows you to hold your bags with them.
ROOMS: nice looking rooms with patio. Ac works really well I had to turn mine down so I didn’t freeze. TV has decent amount of channels.
CONS: I wish the front desk would’ve explained the amenities. I saw a swimming pool but didn’t find the pool with the cool water slides people talked about on here. Also I had to look for the gym myself and ask a groundskeeper gardener type guy how to get to the beach. Usually the front desk staff who checks you in explains what the hotel has to offer and what’s in the area but she didn’t.
OVERALL: high end resort. Pricey restaurants and shops but that’s expected. Easy enough to get to the Orange County Santa Ana airport. You can ask the guys out front to get you a taxi cab.

Das Hotel verfügt über mehrere Restaurants, Bars und Geschäften. Die Lage ist direkt am Strand. Das Personal ist äusserst zuvorkommend. Internet ist kostenlos, sowie täglich frisches Wasser, Kaffee und Tee.

Visited this hotel on a business trip and it is really a beautiful hotel. I have visited friends at the hotel before when they stayed there and received great service, however this was my first time actually staying. The valet is off the East side of the property and the door is normally opened for you when entering the hotel. I stayed in a King size bed room with a partial ocean view. This was the only room open when I was booking besides a couple full ocean views. Higher cost as the views get better, but worth it to really understand the potential experience of this hotel.

The rooms were clean and pretty large. I am not sure if that was just how mine was laid out, however the one I stayed in was spacious. They have movie service if you want to stay in the room and a decent room service. The room service was just so-​so in my opinion. I would recommend going to the restaurants directly or taking an Über downtown for a bite. Overall good hotel. Probably one of the better hotels on the coast in Huntington Beach.
