Too expensive.
They charged me $ 60. bucks for a smog check (I had been driving around just looking for a place that would do it, so I could register my car — not a good idea). Only after my car was plugged into their machine, did the guy break out the «estimate» of $ 52. + $ 8. certificate. (ouch!)
i hadn’t had one done in 2 years & couldn’t remember the price of an average smog test, so I agreed.
Only after I went onto Unilocal & searched «smog tests in Huntington Beach» did I realize I’d paid too much.
A normal smog check should only cost around $ 30 bucks. Oh well.

This was a great experience for someone who’s never had to do a smog check before. It’s a tiny place with three chairs outside for people to sit on while they were waiting, but overall it was cool.
I went I’m at 2:30pm on a Saturday and was in and out of there within 15 – 20 minutes. The smog check was $ 50, but it was worth it because there was no wait and Nera (the guy who performed the smog check) was super nice.

smog check is $ 65. it’s probably cheaper at other places, but I was too lazy & waited too long to do the research. the guy that works there is very nice, helpful, and fast.
