We provide a high quality child care program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 14 years of age. Our number one goal: Happy and healthy children that enjoy coming to school. We recognize each child as the very unique individual they are. Our program is designed to meet each child’s individual need in several different areas. These include: social, emotional, cognitive and physical. We accomplish this by utilizing a very specific curriculum that includes both a developmental approach along with an emphasis on academics. Our daily program offers time for teacher and child directed activities along with indoor and outdoor activities. Teachers are qualified in the field of Early Childhood Education. Teachers are selected for their caring attitude and their genuine enjoyment of children. Teachers in our preschool program implement lesson plan based on a weekly theme. Curriculum areas include: Arts and crafts, language arts and literature, science, dramatic play and cognitive activities that encourage pre-​math, pre-​reading and pre-​writing skills. We focus on physical development of both small and gross motor skills. The social/​emotional aspect of preschool is one of the most valuable experiences your child can gain by attending school. We realize that you are leaving your heart strings in our care and we take that responsibility very seriously. No, we did not received any phone call from the school. After the day my son got scratch from another child, I went to the office and asked why don’t the school give me a call but the director answer it’s not «serious». After my son withdrawal the school 3 months, the scratch still on his cheek. Please think carefully before you choose the school for your child.

I have four kids who have gone through Kellie’s Academy for Kids. My children started in the infant and toddler center and continued all the way through the after school program. They are happy, well-​adjusted, college graduates today. They absolutely loved the field trips and the weekly themes. My children carry fond memories of their time at Kellie’s Academy for Kids. These nurturers should not be dismissed as not caring or unprofessional from a couple of low reviews from people who were NOT enrolled in the school, who did not invest more than five minutes of their life to take down a business that has been operating in our community for over 30 years. Maybe if we followed these naysayers around we would not catch them at their best every minute of their day with their children. Go see the school, go sign up your kids and know that they will be well taken care of in a center that cares.

I went on a tour there and couldn’t get out of there quick enough. The person giving the tour was rude, snarky and actually rolled her eyes when I asked a question. The whole tour lasted maybe 5 minutes and I was definitely not welcomed to hang out in the class to get a feel. The older kids next door (3 maybe?) were outside rough-​housing and tackling each other and no one seemed to care or intervene. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because the 1 – 2 year old who I observed eating all seemed happy.

My daughter has been going to Kellie’s Academy for about 2 weeks now. I was originally looking for something fun for my child to do over the summer, and that is how I found this place. I was impressed by how they had such a well structured summer calender that was full of daily fun activities for children. When I went to visit the school all of the staff members and teachers were so nice and help full. I signed my daughter up on the spot. I wanted to wait a couple of weeks to write my review because I wanted to be sure that it was not to good to be true, but that is not the case at all. My daughter wants to go early every single day and gets sad when I come to get her because she wants to stay every afternoon. I am so impressed with this place that I have transferred my daughter to a different school in the Westminster School District so that she can continue to go here during the school year. Kellie’s offers drop offs and pick ups from certain schools during the year and I am going to take advantage of that because good places are hard to find, and in Kellie’s I have found an excellent place where I trust to have my daughter every day.

Kellie’s Academy is the best thing that’s ever happened to my son. He has always been very hyper and full of energy. Hard to handle at home being a single parent. Since attending Kellie’s, his attitude has changed tremendously. He listens more to instructions and his manners have improved. I could only imagine the patience Ms. Sheronda and Ms. Danielle have to deal with him in such a respectful and loving manner. I am so pleased with the effect that Kellie’s has had on my child. I appreciate everything this school and the staff have done. I highly recommend Kellie’s Academy. They truly have set the bar high for any future education system my son will be a part of. We will miss Kellie’s next year when my son goes to Kindergarten.

I went for a tour of this school and was not impressed at all. The infant room was reasonable but the toddler room was a mess. I am a mother of 3 boys under the age of 4, so i know that having to care for multiple children is exhausting and chaotic however this was different. Did not get a good vibe giy the caretakers at all. There was one little boy who was crying and the director explained that the child was new to the school for about 2 weeks now. I have had 2 of my children in daycare setting before so i do understand that leaving them in a different environment is tough for several days however 2 weeks??? To be honest that wasn’t my concern as this can be related to an individual child. What was bothersome was the attitude of the caretakers, specifically one of them, towards this child. She passed by him several times without acknowledging him at all. As a mother and just a human being, that was disturbing. The director preceded to try to console the child, although I think this was done solely because I was touting the place. A child that young, just needs to be reassured. Perhaps a few extra minutes spent with him could ease him and allow him to have a better transition to the setting instead of just saying «he has been like that since his grandma left». I left with tears in my eyes. How can I entrust the innocent lives of my children to this establishment. I have never written a bad review about any place but this is a place that will be «taking care «of your children while you are at work and people deserve to know what goes on. My advice to parents looking for schools is to definitely tour the place and ho with your gut feeling. Good luck.

My family had a great experience with Kellie’s. We enrolled my son when he was 4 months old and he loves it there! The teachers really take good care of him. He’s never had a diaper rash from them. He’s gotten into a couple of minor incidents but the teachers call me immediately to inform me. He’s been there for almost 6 months now and we are very satisfied with the care they provide. We love Miss Lisa, Miss Rachel, and Miss Sherry.
