This place is awesome because the owner, Mr. Lim is so nice. First time I went in there I think I spent 30 – 40 minutes just talking to him. When I came back to pick up my custom shadowbox, we talked some more. He asked/​gave me what I thought to be a really big compliment. He wanted to know why I left the active Army and went to the Reserves. He told me that he was asking because he could tell I was military. He said that he dealt with a lot of people who came in and out of his shop and could perceive my military bearing. I gave him the answer.
Really nice man and does great work. He could have had a lot more, making a lot more money but he chose to open his shop of his and we’re so much that lucky that he did.

Mason is the Man! I had no clue what kind of frames would work best with my late grandmother’s paintings, and Mason (the owner) spent several minutes with me giving me different recommendations and then showed me how each frame would look on the different paintings. Very nice, great price, excellent quality, definitely a good experience.

Mason is a great guy and he really knows what’s he’s doing. Very pleased with the result of a print that he framed. Would definitely recommend.

I recently moved into a house in Huntington Beach and needed help framing some artworks that I purchased. Mason did an excellent job in framing them for me — he has an eye for selecting the right matting and frames that bring out the artworks and creating a cohesive look for my home. The selection process was quick and painless. Also, the quality of his work is top notch.
Mason also volunteered to come to my house to look at an antique mirror that I had shipped across country to be placed above the mantle of our living room. He gave me great advise on how far up it should be placed. Also, he put on the wiring on the mirror for me free of charge. The wire was the super heavy duty kind that you can’t find at Home Depot or other local hardware stores. Thank you Mason for your awesome service!

I took a painting here with directions from the wife on what frame to get. They took the time to explain why the frame we wanted wouldn’t look good and was more expensive than what they recommended for the size and type. I warned my wife that I chose something different and she was skeptical, but just brought it home and she loves the look. Instead of getting the typical up sell, Rainbow took the time to help me choose what would look the best. Highly recommend!

I had some landscape photographs from Yosemite and 2 color art pieces that I needed framed. I’m local to HB and was happy to find a local Frame store.
Mason inspected each item, looking at the color and size. I watched in awe as he skillfully paired the right color mattes and frames to bring the pictures to life. I am extremely happy with the results and the additions to my home :)

I had a framed oil painting that sagged, due to our moving, and Mason fixed it right on the stop and told me the secret to prevent that from happening again. I am so grateful to him and recommend him highly for any art or framework needs.

Chain framing stores were quoting me $ 500 — $ 700 to mount my 6’x7’ canvas map onto wood. Mason charged me $ 170 for the same exact thing and did an exceptional job. So glad I found this place, and plan to come back with all my future framing needs!

Bought a picture for a birthday gift and then went on a hunt to get it framed. Mason was my third stop as I am on a rather tight budget. He showed me options that were way better than the other places I went to and his commitment to excellence is exceptional. He is an artist who’s goal is to make his customers very happy… what a rare find in todays world! Though I was really happy to also have saved money, the work Mason did was worth more as the finished product was beautiful and my friend was thrilled. Don’t go anywhere else is my advice… Karen

I owned a poster signed by the original cast of Star Wars: A New Hope. Being something I found very valuable and wanting to keep it in pristine condition, I looked around for someone who could frame it up for me really well. I wasn’t looking to skimp out on the price to be honest, but from what I saw Mason really ran a good shop with reasonable prices.
Well there’s no way I could have been happier. The framing and mounting was done perfectly. I had it up in my home for a year before bringing a new piece of art to him to do recently and he blew me away. His suggestions are really great too. He knows what frames will look best with what you are bringing in and he does his best to save you on cash too. Honestly, don’t waste your time. Let Mason help you frame your art the way it should be. I easily would have paid much more had that been the bill. I’ll have to update my review with photos when I get the chance.

I was glad I found this place to frame and matte my step-​fathers photography. While other places offered cheap and quick options, they failed to give guidance on what would look good.
I don’t get things framed often so I wanted some expertise and guidance on what would options would compliment the landscape and nature photos best. The owner took careful time and patience laying out several options for me. What we ended up with was spectacular. The frame and matte combos he chose really did a lot to make the accent colors and overall theme really pop.
Choosing him for any type of framing in the future is a no brainer for me.

Great work. Mason helped me pick the right frames and boarders for my artwork. Amazing value compared to the Other places I went to. For the price of one I got three beautiful frames.
Very patient and professional. I must have changed my mind half a dozen times before taking masons advice which turns out to be better then I had in mind before I walked into the store.
There’s a wide verity to chose from. Just let him know the configuration of how you want to hang the pictures and where it will be hung and he will assist you.
I came in wanting just solid black frames but after talking to mason about how I wanted the pictures in my living room pretty close to each other and the color of my furniture we decided to go with a more natural wood look but different shades to best match each of my artwork.
And it was done fast

Absolutely the spot to go for picture frames of any size. I had a 6’6″ panorama photo that was crafted to perfection.
Mason, the owner, is a personable and detailed guy that will give you great service.

Honestly… I can’t speak for the quality of their work. I wasn’t given the opportunity to find out.
Things that put me off of this business:
1) I wandered around the tiny shop for ten minutes and was completely ignored by the man working there. (no idea his name. older asian guy.) Is it so hard to offer up a «Hi, I’ll be with you in a moment»?
2) I was unimpressed with their selection of frame materials and the way they were stored. A semi-​average amount on the wall in the back corner and others just randomly stacked around the cluttered environment.
3) I noticed a bunch of finished pieces awaiting pickup by their owners just scattered around the little showroom floor, leaning against shelves, standing on top of stacks of other things, etc. Not the best way to protect a customer’s property.
I got a «not too sure about this place» feeling when I walked in and looked around, but then being ignored by the staff cemented the deal. I took my three large pieces of artwork elsewhere. I had time to look at every single thing in the shop twice before deciding to give my hundreds of dollars of work to someone that actually wants it.

Had some music memorabilia framed for a living room piece. Mason the owner was friendly & very helpful with his advice. Not just framing but great design ideas for layouts as well. The finished piece looks amazing! Very very happy with the service, price & quality of work. First time here but would highly recommend Rainbow Art & Frame!

While moving, my mom broke some frames and asked me to bring a frame to this place to get it fixed. The glass was shattered, the back was ripped, and there were a few scuffs on the frame. However, my mom didn’t want to replace it with a new frame and said that she had called the owner and he seemed very friendly and would be able to fix it.
The owner was super friendly when I came in and showed him the frame. I asked him to just replace the glass and backing but when I came to pick it up, the frame looked like new. He had also touched up the frame so you couldn’t see the scuffs anymore. Also when I picked it up, I brought another frame that my mother had broken. He said that he would fix it in a few hours and gave me a discount on the second frame. This frame had a little plaque on the glass and a sticker with a story on the backing but since the glass was broken and the back was kinda ripped, we just expected the glass and back to be replaced. But with the second frame, he also touched up the frame and managed to save the plaque and sticker and stick it onto the new glass and backing. :)
