Don’t go. Don’t do it.
Dirty, only 20% of the machines work and it’s expensive.
I ended up washing my loads then hauling my wet laundry to another laundromat. So bad. Not sure how this place is in business.

I have been coming here for 10 years now. It has gone through several different owner ships. It seems that after a few years they let the machine repairs go so there are less and less washers & dryers available. If they would see the value in maintaining their machines this would be a 5 star laundry. I love the fact that you don’t need quarters. They have a card system that is way beyond any other laundromat, a kids play area with several TV’s vending machines and local places to get food or beverages of necessary. PLEASE FIX YOUR BROKEN MACHINES & I will give you 5 stars!

Do not do your laundry here. Went here on a whim when my laundry machine at home was out of order. Two attendants, one lady with a British accent seemed nice until she and the other clerk proceeded to talk in hushed voices soon after my arrival. Newsflash, people – if someone comes in with bloodshot eyes, they could be running on 3 hours of sleep and not be «doing drugs». But that’s not what the review is for – the male clerk acted like he was the king of the laundromat and treated anyone that wasn’t a regular like an alien that had just stepped off of a spaceship. Don’t bring change or cash because – guess what! – it’s all laundry card based and they will look at you like you handed them a dead dog if you ask how to set anything up. Sure, the lady was *somewhat* helpful when she wasn’t running her mouth, but what a lousy excuse for a laundromat.

For the most part, this Laundromat does live up to its name. There is also a real, flesh-​and-​blood attendant on site, who (presumably) keeps the place clean and is actually helpful; for instance, Sparklean’s machines run on a card system, and as a one-​time customer, I didn’t have a card: so she used her card for me in exchange for quarters.
In addition to being the nicest Laundromat I’ve patronized, Sparklean is also the priciest per load. Well, an attendant isn’t free I suppose. Still, I’d rather have the coin op machines if it meant a lower price. Other places manage, somehow.

Saddest laundry mat ever. I would have rated them higher if more than 50% of the machines weren’t out of order! They offer one load machines, but it doesn’t even accept the cash card that is required for higher loads & dryers. This facility needs a lot of help!!!
Oh and they don’t have AC so prepare to fold your clothes in an over

BEWARE !!! DO NOT USE THIS LAUNDRY MAT!
I used to come here to wash my comforter and an employee told me I could drop it off for $ 11 and they would do it for me. So yesterday I decided to drop off our down comforter to be washed. Today I review a phone call from an employee saying that my comforter was stolen?. This employee offered to go find/​buy a replacement but I declined because I wanted to make sure we got the same one from bed bath and beyond. The employee told me they would reimburse me if I bought it and came back with the receipt, but I was suspicious so I went into the store first only to be told «it’s policy to only reimburse up to $ 40 max» I refused and told them this is outrageous because we paid at least $ 250+ for the king size down comforter.
Then I called the owner…
Some guy named Nadem. I was pissed and wanted to speak with someone who had authority to make things right. I literally had to text him and call him 7 times. (coward behavior) then he realized I wasn’t going to stop calling so he finally called me back only to insult me and act extremely rude and unprofessional and said. «this policy is industry standard «haha wow that’s funny because not only did they not ask for my signature ever… But there is no written policy anywhere in the facility or on my receipt and no employee ever mentioned this to me otherwise I would have never taken the risk .
Oh btw … I found out they have totally fake security cameras, they admitted to me they don’t work. Fantastic …
I filed a police report and have already emailed my attorney to initiate small claims .
BOTTOM LINE — Don’t risk using this business unless your items are worth less than $ 40. Horrible business owner who is so greedy, he won’t even do the right thing and be responsible for his business/​employees actions. I would have given a –1 star if I could. I feel so scammed and now I have no blanket tonight.

My neighbor told me about this laundromat as she’s been going there for a few weeks. Our apartment building in Huntington Harbor only has 4 washers and 4 dryers. People are always fighting over machines and it’s very frustrating to get your laundry done. Also, the water is recycled and my clothes never smelled clean.
One day I accompanied my neighbor to Sparklean. There are all different kinds of machines (even 6-​load ones) depending on how big a load you need to do. The washers are very clean as are the dryers (gas). The entire place is spotless — I’ve seen staff members wiping down tables and counters. The staff (Cecelia, Madison, Jonathon) along with the owner, Nadeem are friendly and super helpful with excellent customer service.
There are also food and drink machines plus a bathroom. There are many magazines to read and a flat screen TV in case you’re interested in that.
I look forward to doing my laundry here as it is such a pleasant environment.

Sparklean is the very best laundry facility in Huntington Beach. It is clean with up to date machines and card reader (no quarters!!!). The new manager is so friendly and helpful. I have a new baby, so laundry is no easy task. The manager has assisted me many times. This place is not the closest to my home, but it well worth the drive!

Kinda confusing with the new card you load to use the machine. Ended up putting the card in a few times because it didn’t read it but still took the money off? People who work there took up almost all of the machines so that was kinda annoying. A lot of broken machines laying around and just doesn’t look very presentable. There’s a tiny area if u have kids they can read books and stuff but it’s pretty dirty in that area. Honestly doesn’t look like a laundry mat in Huntington Beach area. looks like this place belongs somewhere else

First time going here! Very friendly staff and made sure we had everything we needed! Yes some laundry machines do not work but there are many others to choose from! The time and money is worth coming!

This place is so AWESOME, staff is friendly and the Manager responds to questions almost immediately with an ANSWER.

Was looking for a new laundromat but after reading all the reviews, I will steer clear of this place!

First time for me I was going to do it myself but, did the fluff and fold. Nice job ready when he said and first class job. The price to DIY was more then my apt. Bldg. So I guess my apt will keep my business.

Too many machines out of order. Also can only use cash to reload card at machines. Will return to my old place even though it’s much further from for me.

Although the staff is very friendly and helpful the new owner has not followed through on getting the machines fixed. There are far too many out of order machines. In my opinion there are also too many plants and out of date magazines. It used to be kept much cleaner and kids were not allowed to run around screaming and climbing on the counters. The free wifi is sloooooowwwww.

This laundry at is no longer our neighborhood laundrymat. Owner has accepted for commercial/​industrial laundry to be done on site. They usually start at 8am, it is after 3pm and they are still here leaving no room for the neighborhood to do our laundry.
How disappointing but I guess its business.
I’m not hating I just have to drive to the one on Warner and Golden west or do little at a time at home.

Nice and clean but none of the card dispensers work. And I’ve been waiting for an attendant for almost an hour and nothing.

My first visit here but they had more out of order washers and dryers than working ones. It was Not worth the drive from garden grove after hearing all the raving reviews.

This place has really stepped up its game. I have started doing my laundry here again. The staff is knowledgable and always offer advice leading to a cleaner load. Did you know adding tennis balls to the dryer with your blankets helps them to dry faster? Their staff did.
The wifi is strong throughout the whole facility and the flatscreens are a great way to pass the time too. Fair prices on the vending machines keeps me out of the liquor store right nextdoor. This place has great a amenities for a laundry facility.

Decided to get all the towels and sleeping bags from our trip washed at one time, so I started searching for a laundromat. So glad I found this one. They had at least 4 or 5 different size washers. I used the biggest ones. I had a bit of a dilemma because I needed to go home for my kids piano lessons. Nadeem moved everything to the dryers for me and it was all done when I got back. Now that’s service! It really saved me from doing laundry for the next few days and stressing my washer in the process.
The location is easy to find, it was very clean and everything seemed well-​maintained. I will definitely return when the need arises.
