I won’t be back…
Customer service was find I just am very picky with ice cream! lol sorry! but I just prefer soft mushy melted cookies than hard ones… soooo thumbs down on that.
and then also, I felt like there were old ice cream out because it has a lot of freezer burns on the ice cream and that makes it taste funny…

It’s not bad. It’s not great.
Customer service was friendly. Not too crowded. The cookies were pretty delicious and the ice cream is standard. However, paying three dollars for two cookies and a tiny scoop of ice cream is rather pricey for me, but it could be just because I’m a super cheap asian. Haha. I like Diddy Riese better because of the size and the variance of cookies.
When we went, they only had chocolate chip, peanut butter, m&m, and white chocolate macadamia. Pretty standard.

My kids went crazy when this truck rolled up to their school to cater back to school night. Awesome woman named Suzanne served up great treats and actually stayed late to make sure everyone was served.
In this economy two things count… Ice cream!!! And wonderful customer service!
This company simply has both!

So my girlfriend and I went to this place and I got the double chocolate cookie and strawberry ice cream. My girlfriend got the same cookie, but mint chocolate chip ice cream.
The minute we had it in our hands we exchanged 1 bite and then started to devour our cookie. Let me tell you something, it you don’t have milk you’re in for some sweeeet last few bites! After we ate it we were wanting to wash the sweetness away with milk.
If you don’t have milk maybe sharing the ice cream cookie is best.
Ya I’d go back during the summer, but I’ll be sharing it next time!
By the way the cookie sandwich is $ 3. Not bad at all :)

you pick the fresh made cookies. pick two different kinds if you want and whatever ice cream tickles your fancy… and voila… they make you an awesome ice cream sandwich for $ 3!

Yum, yum, yum! We were walking through the throngs of people on Main St when some girl handed us a small advert for ‘$ 3 ice cream sandwiches’ as she put it. It wasn’t too hot out, but ice cream still sounded good to us, so we bit, and meandered on over.
We walked into this unassuming little hole in the wall with a case featuring cookies like strawberry shortcake and smores flavors. The icream flavors were pretty remniscent of Rite Aid flavors — think chocolate malted crunch, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, and other favorites.
No false advertising here — for $ 3, you choose two cookies and a generous scoop of ice cream, and the super nice lady behind the counter makes you an ice cream sammich. Win — win, as far as I’m concerned, and I know I’ll be back as soon as I can afford the extra calorie splurge again lol

My family and I were in Huntington Beach for a visit last week while on vacation. We happened to be at the beach when there was a farmer’s market going on across the street from the HB pier. Around the middle portion of the farmer’s market was were the food vendors set up their little booths. After getting food there and finding a spot to eat near 2^nd floor (a restaurant/​art gallery), there it was to the left of our lil spot; The Scoop on Cookies.
My cousins and I kept eying the small parlor as we ate our dinner. We watched as people came out with ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream cones, or a bag of cookies. We knew exactly what we were doing for dessert!
Even with the crowds that the farmer’s market drew in, you’d think that lines would go pretty slow when it came to the food. Well, it did at one particular tent (it was «taco Tuesday»), but the line at The Scoop on Cookies moved faster than the standby line at the Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land. haha :)
There were some trays of cookies already cleaned out, but the popular flavors like chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, etc. were stocked. I opted for the always classic chocolate chip cookies with cookies and cream ice cream, my cousin «MJ» went for strawberry shortcake cookies with pistachio ice cream, and my cousin Joseph had the M&M’s chocolate chip cookie with I think like a strawberry ice cream (can’t remember his).
The verdict: the cookies were soft and chewy, but still strong enough to sandwich the ice cream. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful! If we lived closer or there was a location up here in our area, we’d definitely make this a place we visited OFTEN! :D
I only have ONE suggestion for the shop: run spell check before you print out the flavors you’re offering. There was an ice cream labeled «MIDEIVIL MADNESS (THREE MUSKATEERS)» LMAO! Yea… medieval madness (three musketeers)??
Definitely try this place out!

Bf and I had a very spontaneous day on Saturday. We went from eating ramen in DTLA to driving all the way to Huntington Beach to beach it up. He wanted to go get some margaritas in DTHB and we walked by this place.
The first thing I notice was obviously the picture of the cookie sandwiches, but it’s with THRIFTY’S ICE CREAM. :O :O :O
I was like ohmygaaah Thrifty’s ice creammm! Then bf says, «you ain’t down. you ain’t down.» PFFFFT.
After our margaritas, we went down and got ourselves a muthafuckin’ cookie ass sandwhich!
The girl workin was suuuper duper friendly and very informative. You’re able to choose any cookie, and you can have two different cookies if you like as well. I got myself the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies with the chocolate malted crunch ice cream.
Bf got the chocolate chip cookies with strawberry ice cream. Total was 6.00.I think.
The taste was pretty good, but the cookies were a bit hard. I did see them baking the cookies too, which was good. I couldn’t really eat it as a sandwich, but generally, it was pretty good!
Idk if I’ll come back, because I’m usually never in HB.

GET OUT OF MY WAY THEY HAVE COOKIE AND ICE CREAM SANDWICHES. No, really, my friend and I turned into 5 year-​olds when we walked in the joint. We were looking for something sweet and The Scoop on Cookies fit the bill. It’s a tiny shop right off of Main, and although simple, it’s a great treat on a hot summer day (although these babies definitely don’t fall into the category of beach body diet).
You get to choose two cookies — and they can be different types — then a flavor of ice cream, and they puttem all together to make a sammich. Trying not to be too gluttonous, we decided to share one, which ended up being a good choice because our cookie/​ice cream sandwich concoction was massive. Just ordering it made me feel like a sugar-​crazed toddler. «Can we get a snickerdoodle. And an M&M cookie. And peanut butter and chocolate ice cream?» Awesome.
Being a huge PB fan, the ice cream was some of the best PB/​choc ice cream I’ve ever had. There was a TON of creamy peanut butter in it. We couldn’t really take bites out of our sandwich because there was so much ice cream, so we used spoons, but it was all good. The employees there were just as sweet as our treats. They were all smiles and the shop just made me feel happy. At only $ 2.50 per sandwich it’s a pretty affordable indulgence. Will definitely be back when the screaming little kid inside me needs to be bribed to shut up.

I stumbled upon this place while walking back to the parking garage after having lunch at Fred’s Mexican Café. It has a sucky location where not a lot of people pass it unless they are going towards the parking garage.
Each sandwich (2 cookies & 1 scoop of ice cream) is $ 3. That means that each cookie is $ 1 and a scoop of ice cream is $ 1. You can get multiple scoops.
The cookies at The Scoop have a nice crunch to it; it’s not hard, it’s not soft, which I love. The chocolate chips have the right texture and melt in your mouth.

I only have Diddy Riese (In L. A) to compare this place too… Scoop on Cookies is no where near close. Why ?
1. Cost
2. Limited selection of cookies
3. Hard cookies
For $ 3 a cookie sandwich you would expect the cookies to be soft right? Considering they are using thrifty ice creams there isn’t much to differentiate the product other than the actual cookies. I’m going to be a hard ass, because those where some hard ass cookies. Never again Scoop On Cookies.
To be fair, Scoop on Cookies is located near the pier and maybe rent is a huge factor of cost, but Diddy Rise is next to Bel Air and it’s still darn cheap ($ 1.50).

While shopping around Huntington Beach I was really craving some ice cream. I noticed BR across the street but it’s such a chain that I wanted something different. I searched Unilocal,as always, and found this delicious place.
It’s tucked away off the main strip, not too far down but if you don’t know about it, you probably won’t see it. It’s attached to a Sub shop, both are in the same building but on different sides. Small indoor seating, but that could be for the sub shop. There is outdoor seating, 2 tables.
They let you pick out which cookies you want, you can pick 2 different ones if you want and whatever ice cream you want in the middle. You can get 2 scoops I think but I only got one. The M&M cookies with chocolate brownie ice cream, YUMMY! There were tons of different flavors: mint chip, cookies n’ cream, rainbow sherbet, vanilla, chocolate, etc. I enjoyed it, it’s a lot of fun and tasty. It def gets messy towards the end of eating it so I suggest sitting down while eating and not walking around.

I came in with my two cousins. They got the make-​you-​own ice cream sandwich but I decided to get the chocolate covered banana dipped in oreo bits (photo included). IT WAS AMAZING! so good. My banana was sweet and the oreos with it tasted heavenly.
for my one banana, i remembered the price was around $ 3.50. Not bad. Their cookie ice cream sandwiches are even cheaper. I believe to be around $ 3, i think. i am so glad i discovered this place. cannot wait to come back.

Cookies and ice cream, yes please! Any combination of cookies with ice cream make me happy… why? Because I love ice cream! I remember when I was a kid… well I don’t do it anymore, but I would devour a whole carton of Dreyer’s Ice Cream in one sitting… now I do look at my calories more closely, but sometimes you just gotta splurge!
This cute little place is located in Downtown Main St. in Huntington Beach. It has a lot of cutesy character with various candy and offerings. So basically, for $ 2.50, you get something that resembles a Diddy Riese ice cream sandwich. Two cookies plus one scoop of ice cream.
There are various flavors to choose from on both the cookies and the ice cream. From what I recall, they had vanilla, chocolate, coconut pineapple, mint n chip, cookies n cream… and I believe they use Rite Aid ice cream! I love Rite Aid ice cream and it does taste great with cookies. I really liked their cookies. to me, it tasted at the same level as Diddy Riese, if not better.
I got the white chocolate macademia cookie with coconut pineapple ice cream. It is so good! I love coconut pineapple ice cream from Rite Aid. Its one of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. So that may have caused me to be giddily happy when I saw it on the menu, but in all honesty, the cookie was delicious. Full of nuts, rich in flavor, and sweet. The chocolate cookie with chocolate ice cream was even better. I think it was better because the cookie was softer. The white chocolate cookie was a little bit firmer.
Overall, great location and concept. Wish I thought of this! Definitely a place to come for dessert after eating or just because you love ice cream! What better way than to celebrate a day at the beach than with a little ice cream love. I love this stuff!

I was in the store before my friend realized I was gone. They had a good stock on hand but I bought the cookies on their own. People seem to have complained about the price of the sandwiches but I don’t have ice cream often, so its not a habit that’s going to break me. :)
~ Peanut butter: crunchy outside & soft chewy inside. Very peanutty and not too sweet. (5 stars)
~ Smore: Crunchy cookie but not tender to chew. I’ve baked with marshmallows before and when they cool it makes the baked good a weird texture. Left ¾ of it in the car by accident and it re-​heated itself & made the cookie’s texture better. (3 stars)
~ White Macadamia: Soft and tender but I got one macadamia nut total. A bit sweet and it resembles a sugar cookie with white choc chips more than anything. (2 stars)

This place is pretty much like Diddy Riese out in Westwood, but on Main Street in Huntington Beach. It’s located right next to the parking structure, so it’s not far of a walk from there.
When the best friend and I walked in, we were greeted immediately. We were excited and acting pretty much like little kids since we had a huge craving for something sweet. Not only did they offer just ice cream cookie sandwiches, but they also sold various candies, drinks and sandwiches.
The best friend and I settled for ice cream sandwiches — we each picked our respective ice cream flavors and types of cookies from the selection they had to offer. Pretty much the usual ice cream flavors — nothing special really — and a few different types of cookies. Each sandwich is only $ 2.50.
I give it 3.5 stars because the cookies weren’t that fresh. Maybe it’s because we came in around 5ish, but my cookies were sort of stale. I like how they give you big scoops though. The service was great too. I’ll probably go back to this place only if I’m in the area and craving some ice cream, but I don’t think I’ll actively want to go because I can find someplace else for better desserts. I still think Diddy Riese is better.

This hit the spot pretty good after a big meal at 25 Degrees across the way. For $ 2.50, you get to choose two cookies and stuff it with any ice cream you like. It’s kind of hard to eat but yeah, it’s manageable. As someone mentioned, the components themselves aren’t anything spectacular… you can get the cookie elsewhere and the ice cream is reminiscent of Rite Aid’s (but that’s not a bad thing). Even so, because I haven’t been exposed to anything of this sort in the area, I was pretty much easily impressed. It’s a quick fix for your sweet tooth, can’t ask for much more. The service was quite welcoming as well.

The great thing about this place being on Main St. is that by the time I arrive on foot from my free parking spot in front of some poor person’s house 5 blocks down, I can eat my $ 2.50 worth of fats and sugars almost guilt free.
Choose your own pair of cookies and your own flavor of ice cream for your customized sandwich. Unlike shoes, the cookies don’t have to match so go crazy. I forced a chocolate cookie and a snicker doodle to become friends and get very, very cozy with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream in the middle.
The chocolate cookie was a little dry, the snicker doodle was good, and the butter pecan ice cream was, well, ice cream. There wasn’t anything special about the components; I’ve had better of each.
I got sick of the whole thing about half way through; I think I liked the idea of the place rather than the product itself. Oh well, more fats and sugars for the seagulls who, fortunately, never have to worry about how they look in a bikini.

This place is cheap that’s why i love it.

I got two smores cookies and a strawberry cheesecake ice cream. it was a yummy sandwich. it melts fast (I got this at night) so you are going to eat it fast. the cookies were soft, the ice cream was good.
would i come back? probably since its so cheap

Cheap! You get to pick whatever two cookies you want. In my case, I got a red, white, and blue (strawberries, white chocolate, and blueberries) and s’mores cookies to sandwich pistachio ice cream. Served simply in a fair food container. Yum.
They also have tons of candy. It’s a perfect little spot on Main Street.
