I just wanted to take a minute to express how awesome the customer service is. Greg and Dustin were both attentive and helpful during serious crunch time for me. I’m moving apartments and my final apt day I’m flying out of town for a few days. In two days l. Haha. Moving and staying organized to travel is insane. I just wanted to be able to take my cute little crystal ball chain fan/​light chains with me to my new place, but they had been a replacement for yarn at my current place. I don’t want to leave my old apt with yarn so I went in looking for new chains and a semi average end piece to turn on the fan and the light. Dustin was alert to my confusion and searching face and greeted me even tho he was doing business on the phone (way to go multitasking!) and while he wrapped that up Greg brought out a box of chains and ends. They were both super friendly rad guys who made something that shouldn’t be stressful (but is when ur moving in a crunch) and they made it super peaceful and easy. Thanks guys. 100% made my Monday.

I have bought 5 fans from Trading Post Fan Company. I take them to Kauai and install on a house that I am remodeling. The Hawaiian environment is very damp and corrosive due to salt in the air. The fans are very attractive but equally important to me is quality construction and reliability. My Hawaiian electrician, who has seen many fans, was very impressed with the construction of the fans that I purchased from Trading Post. Equally important, when on Kauai, there was an issue about configuration. The management was very proactive and helped me resolve the issue very quickly so I did not miss the appointment with the electrician for installation. Product design, quality, and customer service are outstanding at Trading Post Fan Company.

Don’t buy wave by minka Aire called manufacture said its a bad part have it two months they want me to take it off first that requires two services calls, Iam taking it back where I bought it don’t buy this fan manufacture shows no support.

This review is for the service department. (The sales department is great.)
We have been a repeat customer of and have purchased six (6) fans from Trading Post over the years.
I was forwarded to the service department and all I wanted was some guidance on troubleshooting a Casablanca fan wall control unit. The service technician who took the call 1) unfriendly and brusque when answering the call 2) does not listen, but is quick to argue on minutia and is defensive and demonstrated a strong desire to «be right» 3) finally I decided to just give in on the ridiculous argument he’d started. After I described the problem a second time because he wasn’t listening the first time, he made no attempt to help me troubleshoot, rather he immediately jumped to telling me to replace the wall unit and receiver and quoted me a retail price for the parts of $ 150+. Apparently dropping $ 150+ to him is no big deal, but it is to me. 4) Then I mentioned that I’d have to disassemble the fan to get to the receiver to replace it. He then said we provide service for that. By then, I’d had about enough of him! He doesn’t get it! What, you want me to spend more of money on labor, now, after suggesting replacing the parts without any troubleshooting first! He’s cluless and so obvious he had no interest in being of service, in any way! Maybe he’s a great technician, but has little to no people skills. If that’s the case, he should be kept away from the customers.
As soon as I got off the phone, I googled around some more and low and behold, found the problem and voila, the problem has been fixed. It had nothing to do with the fan or wall controls. It turned out I was using the wall control incorrectly. Yes, that’s all.
Man, what a stark contrast between how nice these guys are when it comes to selling, yet, when it comes to the service department, what a joke! Yes, Trading Post, you guys need to be consistent in how you treat your customers, including for after they’ve completed the purchase!

I was having a problem with the remote control and a ceiling fan. The remote and the ceiling fan were no longer communicating; the ceiling fan was stuck in «2^nd gear» and would not go faster or slower. I called TPFC and Jay gave me instructions on how to re-​program the remote. Voila! It worked and I saved the time and cost of an electrician coming over to fix the problem.

This place has great customer service. When I bought two fans here 8 years ago I was very impressed. Recently when the fans had gotten noisy I stopped in. They looked up my purchase and told me I had bought good fans I said I should repair them (vs. replace them). They could have tried to sell me new fans. Instead they gave me a card of a repair person who then fixed them. I have been very pleased.

During our recent home renovation, we purchased multiple fans from the Trading Post and we were very pleased with the selection, pricing and knowledge from the staff. The true test of any business is how they handle things if there is a problem down the road. Unfortunately, one of our fans stopped working and we went into the store for help. It was very busy, however, Jay acknowledged us and assured us that he would help us once he finished with a customer. Although we were there only to seek resolution to our problem, rather than making a purchase, this did not change Jay’s level of engagement with us. In fact, he took a lot of time explaining potential reasons why than fan didn’t work. Due to our circumstance, Jay committed to honor the warranty which had just lapsed. This was refreshing and a sign of a company that stands by their products. It also made me very happy that we purchased the fan from this store rather than off the internet, where I know I would not have received this level of service!
Upon picking up my repaired fan, I soon realized that the Trading Post has many other wonderful employees like Eden, Trevor and Greg. These three gentleman went out of their way to prepare my fan for installation, and even delivered it to my car. Eden even offered his assistance over the phone if we had any problems with the installation (we are not handy). Each employee is a seasoned professional with a vast amount of knowledge in this industry and I was impressed with their level of customer service, especially given that we were not even making a purchase at the time. Kudos to management!
P. S. I love that there are always bowls of candy placed throughout the store, nice touch!

We have used the Trading Post Fan Company for every fan purchase we have made in our house and also in my mom’s house. That’s 6 ceiling fans in one house and 4 in another house. This is the most competent, professional and well advised business. Everyone that works there is tirelessly friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, going out of their way to work with you in order to get the best fan for your needs. The variety of fans is amazing. I have recommended this store to everyone I know that is looking for a fan. You won’t be disappointed. Their prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

For years I have heard nice things about this business. When we walked in to purchase 4 fans & not once did an employee offer to help or check to see if we needed anything. They just lost over $ 1000.00 of business.

Alot more selection than big companies. It’s a small place but plenty if options. They don’t install :\ but they give you a recommendation to a different company. They have so many options compacted in a small space that’s why they got a 4 star from me.

Who knew that there were so many choices when it comes to ceiling fans, light fixtures, table fans and beyond! I found a table fan that I loved and they offered me a catalog to see what else was offered. I purchased two! This is not your run of the mill Home Depot. If you truly want something that is different along with awesome customer service this is the place for you!

If you are looking for a ceiling fan this is THE place to buy! Amazing selection, great prices and fabulous customer service! Greg is so helpful and knowledgeable! Who knew there were so many options? Worth the drive from Riverside! Or shop online! Or do both like I did!

A fan may seem like a straight forward purchase to most, however, when shopping for efficiency, functionality and style, there’s no way to know what you’re getting without someone who knows how they work and for what applications they will be used for, example: room size and intervals of use. At Trading Post you get people who know the fans inside and out and work with you from beginning to end finding the right solutions for your situation. Additionally, they are there after the sale to make sure everything is right. It’s extremely difficult to find any type of customer service these days, especially in big box stores. Trading Post has you covered!!! Save yourself heartache and go straight to Trading Post and skip the big box stores. Jay and Eden are extremely knowledgable and attentive sales associates. Just walked in here having no idea how complicated finding a good ceiling fan is. Thankfully Greg was on point and helped us find 2 amazing ceiling fans! Thanks Greg!

Extremely helpful and informative. Took time, even during a very busy morning, to look through store and brochure to help me feel I made the best, non-​rushed, decision for my entire house. I bought five fans, different styles, companies and sizes. There was a bunch of work put in on both my and the employee’a behalf. Greg was awesome and I highly re commend the drive (we drove 50 miles). Much better quality than your big box hardware store.

Purchased an overpriced Casablanca in December 2013. It started to «click» within a month after having Trading Post Fan Co’s installer put it up.
After ordering a new base, awaiting it’s arrival, and then awaiting an appointment with their preferred installer, a 2^nd base was installed and they were gone within 2 minutes after installing it. I tested it and all seemed fine.
Within 2 days of the 2^nd install, the new fan started «clicking» when on Medium and Really clicking a lot when on fast. When on slow, which is how the installers left it, you can hear a «click» in the middle of night when it’s dead quiet.
The fan can only be used on low now when we are trying to sleep, which doesn’t stir the air enough.
We are quite frustrated because who has another 3 months to wait for a new fan to come in and another month for reinstallation by a company that appears to have installed incorrectly from the beginning!!!

My boyfriend bought a couple of ceiling fans from Trading Post and the experience buying them here was wonderful!
If you don’t know my boyfriend — he asks TONS of questions and likes to be explained how everything works in detail when he is making a purchase of over $ 100. The staff here at Trading Post Fan Company exceeded his expectations. The sales guy (I don’t recall his name…) was very informative and knowledgable and explained the difference of each fan.
He ended up buying two ceiling fans here (one for the living room, the other for the master bedroom). The fans look great and came at a great price — he bought one of the more expensive fans for the living room since it’ll be used more (~$ 450) and a lesser expensive one for the bedroom (~$ 150). Both were reasonably and comptetively priced for what he got.
The fans are being installed today, lets hope they work the way we are expecting!

You need a ceiling fan? Well this is the place to go. Every inch of the ceiling has a ceiling fan all strategically mounted so no blade hits each other. I can’t imagine the pain in the ass it was when they first installed these.
This is a great store because they have every style and price you can imagine. I had an Emerson fan I bought here about 10 years ago that finally self destructed. My wife and I came here and found a really cool Casablanca fan we purchased to replace it. We used the electrician who’s business card is near the cash register (same one we used 10 years ago) and he installed the fan in a breeze.
I’m a fan of this fan store!
