Results with the laser machine were great. Staff was also friendly. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get through to H.B. Location to reschedule an appointment that was canceled on me. Voice mail boxes have been full and as of today 6÷5÷13 the phone number is disconnected. It’s frustrating to take the day off and be canceled on without being able to make future appointments due to claims of electrical power being out, internet service is down, ect. What a shame bc I was looking forward to the results.

I too bought their groupon for 2 years unlimited and now can’t finish my sessions. I almost wonder if they knew they were going to close and did the whole groupon thing as a scam? 2 stars because the service I did get was actually good.

I want to say I’ve been one of the few that were lucky enough to make a couple appointments but terribly dissapointed that they just up and close without warning.
Apparently they have bad business practices. Hopefully this doctor doesn’t change his business name and trick other people into buying groupon/​yelp deals.

All right! Valley Aesthetics and Laser is closed. Here is some information hopefully will help. If you purchased any treatment from groupon, they are willing to help. I got some of groupon dollars refund. You can use your refund to purchase any other treatment from other place having deal with groupon to finish treatment. Some of them have good deal and you may not need to pay extra or just pay a little more to finish your treatment. I am going to use

I am as angry as the rest of you. I had bought a Groupon deal for myself and my daughter. The place seemed good and the laser hair was working, so I just bought additional services. Only received one treatment and when I tried to make my appointment for the next, I was told they were having computer problems and they would contact me.
They clearly knew they were closing their doors and never said anything because the phones were disconnected.

I had purchased the Groupon for 2-​years unlimited laser removal on a small area, good deal right… everything was going fine until recently, I received an e-​mail saying my appointment had been cancelled. When I call to find out why, no one answered as well as the inbox was full, so I emailed them… no response. Now I come to Unilocal to find out they are CLOSED?! Well, after having closed down their Hacienda location a few months ago, they never said anything about their HB location… now just out of the blue, no warning… I was last there only 2 weeks ago…
Does anone know if Groupon is refunding people? Quite pissed. I will be leaving a review on the Dr. Pankaj Karan as well.

locals deal and he (the Dr.) closed down his office a few weeks later. WTF!!! reporting this jerk to the medical board.

Unilocal finally took down the « Unilocal Coupon» and posted they are OUT OF BUSINESS.
I too purchased a GroupOn for the two year laser removal and now can’t finish my treatments because they are closed. I loved my RN Angela at VAL and I found out she is now over at
and offering big discounts for VAL customers who have purchased a now worthless GroupOn.

My June appointment was cancelled last Friday for both my sister and myself with no explanation as to why the appointments were being cancelled. We’ve been trying to reach the HB office via phone and email but so far no responses.
Yesterday I contact Groupon to report the situation and received a very disappointing response today. The CA person copied and paste an old email from March 2013 regarding the closure of the Hacienda Hts office and how all patrons should start going to the HB office. Obviously, the CA person was not reading my original email since the issue at hand is with the HB office.
I am wondering if Groupon is trying to fend off our concerns with this lame response.
I already called my credit card company and they are crediting me for what I paid. If anyone else is getting the same response from Groupon, perhaps you can dispute it with your credit card company and let them fight the battle with Groupon/​Valley Aesthetics & Laser. They seem to be more on my side than Groupon was…

–UPDATE ⁶⁄₅. Groupon responded back today with how they would like to «reach out to VAL on my behalf to re-​establish communication». I told them that VAL has now disconnected their number so how will Groupon contact them. Groupon has not responded to my last email. They should start refunding everyone’s money but given their lack of sense of urgency so far, I doubt that Groupon is going to do much.
–UPDATE ⁶⁄₆: After many back and forth emails with Groupon, they finally gave an acceptable response… that it may take them longer to resolve the situation and that they are willing to offer a refund in the form of GROUPON BUCKS if I cannot wait. Not too shabby since my CREDIT CARD COMPANY is also crediting me back.
–UPDATE ⁶⁄₁₀: After I refused to take Groupon up on partial refund via Groupon Bucks, it didn’t take long for them to give in (1−2days later) and give me a full refund. My suggestion for others is to refuse the Groupon Bucks refund and demand a FULL REFUND BACK TO YOUR CREDIT CARD.

I found VAL through a groupon deal that was to good to pass up and so far have had great results and experience, almost a year into my deal (it was a 2-​year unlimited service).
Like so many other recent reviewers, my June appointment was cancelled last week out of the blue. I thought that they accidentally canceled my appointment instead of someone else’s who called in to canceled. I have tried to call several times, different days & times over the pass week and all messages go straight to voicemail, which is full by the way. I have sent multiple unanswered emails, I even tried to contact them via facebook (which after reading another person’s review, found out that the page has since been deactivated). It is almost like they closed up shop and didn’t tell anyone. At least have the integrity to let people know what’s going on!!!
If they are still open I recommend NOT getting involved with them. I think I will also contact Groupon as well, like others before me have stated, so that this company cannot do this to other people.
I’m truly sadden by this sudden issue, as I have had a great experience in the past year. I have noticed that every time I go in, I get treated by someone different… guess that should have been my first clue there were issues. I just assumed it was because the HB office was new.

My appointment in June also got cancelled out of the blue. Just like Cara R. I got an email that said my appointment was cancelled yesterday. Ive been calling left and right, cant even leave a message because their inbox is full. No one is answering. I know they have ALWAYSS had scheduling issues but this is just ridiculous. This place is a joke!!! hopefully groupon can help me do something because this is just not fair AT ALL… DONT EVER go to this place. EVER!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Same story as the previous reviewers (June appointment cancel, via email, calls go unanswered, can’t leave voicemail, emails not returned). I am sitting in the parking lot right now because I came to get an explanation, and the door is locked with a sign on the door that they are closed for the week!!! Not sure if there is any connection, or not, but saw an FDA agents card shoved under the door? Maybe it’s not related, but I’m just saying its there…
Uugghh. Better get a refund for my Groupon.

Welllllllllllllll… I bought my Groupon a year ago… so at least I got some use out of it… but I did have trouble scheduling and now it looks like I will not be getting another appt. any time soon. Nobody answers the phone or replies to the emails. This shady doctor appears to be… poof…gone ! so good riddance to him and his greediness!

I also came here because of the Groupon. I wish i would have read reviews about this place before.
I have had half of my appointments canceled usually a week even a day before, in only a year since i started going here. Which is extremely inconveniencing and annoying. They do not call to try and reschedule or at least give an explanation.
They also try and schedule you sessions 8 – 10 weeks apart, even though all other places suggest 6 – 8 weeks. This is so they can minimize how often you can go, so that you might actually get the most out of your purchase.
The receptionists are rude and you can hear them gossip about clients while you are in the waiting room. The receptionist at the Huntington beach office is much nicer.
Now that they combined their offices, it is impossible to get an appointment. They do not answer their phones, return your messages or emails.
I am very disappointed!
Sometimes a good deal is just NOT WORTH IT!

Gremlins. Battle gremlins who can sabotage anything electrical. Clearly, little green demons with hair growing out of their ears are the only explanation for how badly this place is run.
Surely, a legitimate establishment would not offer a ridiculously good Groupon then refuse to honor it? No place of business hoping to keep their doors open would cancel appointments multiple times without warning. And if they did, they surely wouldn’t just send an automated email, they’d surely call with an explanation and reschedule?
Right?
No.
Hence, the gremlins. Because they do all that and more. Before you, brave soul, venture out into the Valley [of] Lasers, listen to this cautionary tale of woe.
While in the waiting room on my last appointment, after a prolonged battle against the scheduling gremlins, I entertained myself by eavesdropping on the conversation another combatant was having with the receptionist. She had her sleeves rolled up and was showing off the battle scars incurred during her last visit. Apparently the lasers had been sabotaged by the gremlins, leaving her with scars that had not healed in over a month, forcing her to wear long sleeves in the ever growing springtime heat. I silently vowed to take note of and always check the setting on lasers from now on.
During my session, the girl doing the treatment regaled me with an epic battle tale of the Boss Gremlin who once presided over their Anaheim fortress/​location. Apparently she was the mastermind behind random cancellations, unreturned calls and tragic lack of customer service. Eventually, she had managed to bring the Anaheim fortress to it’s knees and force it’s surrender, forever closing it’s doors. Victorious, she then set her eyes on the Huntington Beach location, bringing with her all her clever plans of ruin. The brave women of the HB fortress rose to the occasion, pointing out her fowl ways to the owner, and thus defeating the evil Boss Gremlin.
However, all was not well in Laser Gremlin Land. The seed of evil had been planted, and ruin still on the horizon.
As of today, I can report that the gremlins have left moles, spies, and saboteurs at the HB fortress. I have yet again received an electronic missive, informing me of another cancelled appointment of doom. No call has been received, so I can neither confirm nor deny by voice that the humans are still in control of the fortress, or if the gremlins now reign supreme. No appointment has been rescheduled, so I do not know if the battle rages on… or if all hope is lost…
I plan now to leave this field of battle. the gremlins are too cunning, to vicious. I caution other potential adventures against this quest. The stakes are high, the battles long and exhausting, and the loot drops epically bad.

CHEAP w/​GROUPON BUT HORRIBLE SERVICE. i once gave this place a review of 3 bc i liked the nurses, but a lot of the nurses i liked quit. they quit bc they said they did not like the way it was run and i can see why.
appointments are hard to get and when they do, they sometimes cancel my reservations and only send an email w/​the cancellation – they do not call you to reschedule. when you call to reschedule and ask why they cancelled, you will be lucky if they pick up.
i am pretty pissed right now, my june reservation was just cancelled and it is hard to get an appointment in the summer.

Great results! The laser that is used at this office has proven wonders for my full leg treatments. After only 4 treatments, much of my hair only grows back in patches and and the hair is much more fine then it used to be.
I bought the two year unlimited groupon deal and I definitely have gotten my moneys worth of results! My hair was extremely course before undergoing laser treatment, not only on my legs but in other areas as well. I’ve tried other places with different lasers and it has not given me as fast results as the laser at valley aesthetics has given me! I’ve had 30+ plus treatments on the small hairs on my face at various laser places and I wish I had come here for them instead after how fast I’ve see results on my legs!
The doctor has done two of my treatments and is extremely knowledgeable with the device as well as other types of lasers. He’s very informative and actually knows what he’s doing!
Scheduling appointments is a little tough, so I suggest scheduling advance appointments so you can get a time you want!

I bought a groupon for 2 years unlimited laser hair removal before I read any Unilocal reviews. I have to admit, the first time when trying to book the appointment was very difficult. I had to leave a message and they called back a week or two later. (The lady on the phone was SUPER nice.)
So then I went on Unilocal to read reviews which were less than stellar. Needless to say I was really worried. Customers mentioned super long waits and bad customer service. However, my experience with them (besides the initial call to make appointment) has been wonderful!
My first appiontment was with the doctor and he was super nice. Very personable and professional. My 2 subsequent visits was with the nurse. She’s nice enough, all business but takes time to answer any questions I had sufficiently. I went on to purchase another laser hair treament for a different area directly from them. Even though it wasn’t a groupon, I thought it was a fair price. They said that after the 6 treatment, if the hair isn’t completely gone I can come in for touch ups at no cost.
I am able to book both my treatments at the same time. I think its because one is a groupon deal and the other is not.
I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for any of my appointments. I was worried about that because I hate waiting. They may have changed the front desk people based on past Unilocal reviews. I have never had any trouble with them. Actually they have been super nice and helpful. This place isn’t fancy but it does the job. My results have been great so far so I am happy.

I bought a package through groupon. Its supposed to be for two years unlimited, I have been twice in the 6 months I have had it because its extremely hard to get in. They NEVER have appointments available sooner than 2 — 3 months, or maybe that’s just a scam because I am a groupon customer; Especially since I get e-​mails on a daily basis about new procedures and for those they can get me right in!
My first two visits were OK besides the scheduling issue, however I thought it was weird that every time I would go in for the procedure the Doctor would «vent» to me that he was upset about recent Unilocal reviews and didn’t understand why people were so unhappy. Well Dr. it is your reception staff! They are horrible at customer service, and always very rude over the phone! Because of them I am out the money I paid for my package after only using it twice of the unlimited two years. They said I cannot rebook until I pay a $ 50 fee because I missed an appointment that I wasn’t aware I even booked! I feel that this is a scam!
I really liked the Dr. and planned on having other services done, but because of the bad customer service from the receptionist I will never be going there again. I will be sending my friends/​family, that I told to book appointments with Valley Aesthetics, to not sign up because you will get screwed over and lose money!

Booking was rough in the beginning. They cancelled my first two appointments due to the laser machine not working. That’s a pretty bad sign but whatever. I’ve been really curious about laser hair removal so I continued to be patient with them.
I am now on my fourth session and am definitely seeing results. Just a few stray hairs here and there but for the most part, I rarely have to shave anymore. I’ve never really had to wait more than 15 minutes for treatment but it is true, depending on who is treating you, it can seem very rushed and impersonal. The female techs have always been very personable and welcoming but the Dr. himself can make you feel like he’s got much more important things to do. Whatever, just make the hair disappear.
The business itself has been a bit painful to deal with. Pushy, bitchy front desk girls. Could have been just one particular blonde, I don’t remember. On my last visit, she watched me enter the office from the lobby area (while she chit chatted with another receptionist) and completely ignored that a patient should be welcomed or at the very least acknowledged. The Dr. had to literally wave her down to come back in and do her job. How dare I expect professionalism! She’s obviously a receptionist for a reason. Oh, and she didn’t bother to ask me to set the next appointment on my way out. Must have been too busy twirling her hair or something.
Ultimately, hair removal was the goal and it’s worked! I’m extremely happy with the results. If you can manage to let the lack of customer service slide, give it a shot.
