I’ve been on a Thai food binge. Out of all the places I’ve been to, this has got to be the best. On this visit I had the lunch special spicy noodle combo. The dish includes spicy noodles, chicken, beef, calamari and the only downside was it only had 2 shrimp. I also had the iced Thai coffee, which was also good. I’ll include a picture of my order.

Came here with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to switch it up a little. I’ve never had Thai food before and I must say I wasn’t impressed. The food was alright, nothing special. Not to mention the service was eh, not too friendly. Took forever for the waiter to take our order and bring our food. Granted it was a busy night and they seemed to be short staffed but like I said– not impressed. Probably won’t come back.

Great Thai place in the South Bay. My favorite is their spicy eggplant curry. The jasmine rice is cooked to perfection. Anytime I’m in this area, this place is always my #1 choice.

Sigh, the food is just plain not good. I have never had any type of curry that was so runny, the vegetables taste like they were frozen and are completely over cooked, and as far as the pad thai goes, they should just call it sad thai, cause that’s what it is, sad. Everything tasted like it was drowned in butter, gross, and SO not authentic Thai. I literally threw half of the food away; if it hadn’t been take out I would have sent it back. Thai food is known for it’s freshness, something you’re not going to experience here. I ate here once when this place very first opened, and I figured that if it had managed to stick around this long, maybe it had improved. Instead I got reminded why I hadn’t eaten here in nearly a decade. Do yourself a favor and drive out of IB for your Thai food, I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is real/authentic Thai food.

Living by the beach and always craving some Thai food, nothing better than having Aroma Thai right around the corner., customer service is ok, but the food is delicious. Love the spicy fried rice with chicken and the peanut sauce is by far the best I have ever had.

Came here with one of my best friends, who swore up and down this was the best Thai food in southern California. Cute little restaurant with its own private lot. He ordered the red panang duck curry with rice level 5 spiciness. I ordered the spicy beef noodles level 7. He got his food first and I got my food close to 10 to 15 minutes after he had received his food. I stole pretty much all the pieces of eggplant out of his curry because I was starving. It was pretty tasty. I was disappointed when I got my spicy beef noodles which were supposed to be a level 7. My best friends curry [supposedly a level 5] ended up being spicier than my noodles. We also ordered the fried calamari. Pretty delicious and I liked the fact that they were still hot when they were served to us. Pros: *water service. Your water cup was always full. *Parking lot. You know it’s a mess to find parking in IB Cons: *timing on the food. I feel like your table’s food Should come out relatively at the same time. Not 10 to 15 minutes later. *spiciness of the food. My level 7 noodles should have been way spicier than the level 5 curry. Would I come back? Sure. However, I will bring my best friend to one of my favorite Thai restaurants on convoy first.

Best place to eat in IB! If you need great food, but don’t want to get Mexican, this is the place! It’s also way healthier, in my opinion. Eating there is a pleasant experience because the tables are situated just right and I do believe there are NO TVs there which is such a breather for me being that they seem to be in every restaurant now. Just a nice place to sit, eat a warm meal, and relax.

Food was great. The staff seemed a little distracted, though it wasn’t very busy. The décor was very elaborate and appealing. Overall it was a good place.

This is so close to home and they have the best coconut soup I have ever had. I always find myself wishing their service were better and more welcoming so that I were more comfortable bringing friends here. Their helpings are sorta skimpy, but their prices aren’t bad. Still I always leave hungry no matter how much I spend. When other restaurants serve 6 or 8 pieces, they will serve less. I don’t know why. It is overall pretty good. I just keep hoping it is remarkable since it is local.

We came here since it was a short walk from our hotel across the street. We arrived around 5:30pm for an early dinner and were seated right away since it was fairly empty. Service was fine, not anything special to write about. The Thai iced tea was amazing and came in large glasses. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the husband ordered the crying tiger beef. Both dishes were amazing. I will say that the chicken pad Thai was probably the best I’ve ever had… it was perfect. Something about the noodles. If we were locals, we’d definitely come here often. It’s a must try.

Good service great food in a beautiful location what more could you ask for! The only Thai food place along the beach. Didn’t have a bad meal and they served me Duck Curry after they were already closed.

We just had take out from Aroma Thai, and it was excellent. We had the Spicy Noodle with beef, the Cashew Nut with duck(none of us had ever tried duck before, and we enjoyed it), the Chinese Sausage Fried Rice, Tiger Cry Steak, Param Long Song with pork and Thai Orange Chicken. It was a lot of food for 5 people, but we ate it family style and don’t mind the leftovers. The Cashew Duck ended up being a favorite. It was new to all of us and different enough to stand out. The Tiger Cry Steak was a close second and reminded us of the Beef Tataki at our favorite sushi place back home. The next time we’re in IB, we’ll come back and try something new.

Super delicious food. The customer service is so-so. The food is so good though, that you almost don’t care that their waiters and waitresses are not really that friendly. Love the chicken satay and pad Thai noodles. The green tea ice cream was delicious and refreshing. It did not have an overpowering flavor. I just moved here and I’ve probably been there or ordered take out about 6 or 7 times.

This place sounds fantastic on paper. In reality, not so hot. The place was in complete disarray upon arrival and of course we had to wait another 25 minutes for our food. The food took over 50 minutes and we called way ahead. We got the food home, opened it up and we found two shrimp, one piece of calamari, three pieces of beef and three pieces of dried out chicken in our combination plate. We saw some girl arrive from the back entrance with some chicken as we were picking up our food. She dropped off the chicken, grabbed a cool glass of iced tea and quickly departed. We ordered three other combinations including duck, pad Thai chicken and chicken mango shrimp curry. All of these had very little meat and the mango shrimp curry had three shrimp and they were small and not very tasty at all. I’m not sure what’s going on at this place, but they are riding on thin ice. If their business is derived from tourists, it’s only a matter of time before this place goes adiós.

Our first night in town we came in here for dinner. The staff was really friendly and the food was great! I got the roasted duck spicy noodles. They let you choose between 1 — 10 for the level of spice and I went with a 7. I like it hot and this was perfect without being over bearing. The duck in the dish was a little on the fatty side but it was great with the perfect portion size. My husband had the roasted duck and the portion size was huge and really tasty. Great little Thai spot right by the beach.

I absolutely LOVE this place, By far my favorite Thai Restaurant. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the workers who by the way are absolutely wonderful. They have tables and booths set up beautifully. Whether you’re on a date or just with a friend, the atmosphere is perfect to enjoy a meal and conversation. I always order the same thing when I come here but its because its my favorite dish. The prices are so great I even order other plates so I can have a taste of everything. My favorite dish is the chicken pad thai. They serve you with a good portion of food, i always have left over. They put just enough sauce so you’re not overwhelmed with the taste. I like to get a level 2 of spice that way my plate has a little bit more edge to it. This plate gives you a taste of sweet and tangy and some spice its like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. I highly recommend this plate. Other than that, its located right next to the beach! The only that that sucks is the cell phone reception. But thats not the Restaurants fault, definitely my choice of carrier. Lol

Small restaurant in IB. There were only 3 tables being served so our service was fast. My husband and I ordered the lunch special. It came with an entrée, soup, fried wonton and an egg roll. We had pad Thai no spice. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a glass of Thai tea. Pad Thai was excellent! The wine was fairly priced and the Thai tea was big and delicious. The lunch price was between $ 6.95-$ 8.95 it depends on what type of meat you want. I will definitely go back again.

Starving after a beach workout and came here. The restaurant is warm inside, I don’t think they have AC but it’s all good! We ordered: Spicy Basil with chicken– spice level #6. Wasn’t that spicy but I wasn’t sure how aggressive they were with spice, so to me less is safe! It was tasty and the veggies were fresh! Aroma BBQ chicken– standard. It was good. Mango sticky rice– legit!!! Order a Thai iced tea… Biggest glass ever… That made my little heart happy! Not too much to rave about for me, I was basically starving!

This was my first Taste of Real Thai Food, where I’m from Thai food is hard to find, most places just mix it with Chinese and Japanese food, but this was the real deal. I got the spicy noodles, I asked if they could minimize the spice, the waitress said they could make it mild, I thought great! I would hate to see what the full spice was because I took one bite and it was like I got punched in the stomach, I kept eating until about half way through my meal I had to stop, it was too overwhelming. So if you like spicy food like I do, but are a stranger to thai spices avoid the dishes with the pepper next to it. Despite the overwhelming heat, the flavor was still really good, I just wish I could have finished it. My suggestion would be to order a thai iced tea because it is so overly sweet from the sugar and milk that it will at least help a little with the overbearing spiciness. A few other minor criticisms that prevented this from being a 4 or even 5 star rating are that they garnish carrot in all their dishes, even the ones who have no mention of carrot at all in them. This needs to be listed in case someone has an allergy, how are we supposed to know what’s in a dish if you aren’t going to list all the ingredients? Picking carrot out of my food was tedious and got on my nerves. Also, the service was very slow, confusing and they were not very nice. In fact they seemed pretty rude. I’d still come back for the food without a doubt but like I said some changes could be made if they want two more stars.
