Exceptional service & integrity. I purchased a battery here for my Audi TT. A few months later, the battery was bad. This service station gave me a full refund… no hassle.

What amazing people! We needed chains after getting stuck in snow and they went way out of their way to help us find the special size we needed and even gave us a ride home. Doug and Greg helped us even though it is a busy day, right before Thanksgiving. Even offered a tip to thank them but they refused. Just helped from the goodness of their heart.

This review is really late, but I figure better late than never. I drove to Tahoe at the end of May for what was supposed to be a fun girls weekend. But no… My ’99 Tahoe decided it was too old for the mountains and died on me in Truckee. I called AAA and asked to be towed to the closest repair shop to my hotel. By the time we got to this shop it was late in the day on Saturday & they wouldn’t be able to look at it till the next day… Sunday. (Do you know any mechanic that works on Sundays?!) They said they’d hold the car overnight & call me first thing in the morning. Then they had one of their guys drive me to my hotel since I was stranded. How nice is that?! As promised, they called me first thing Sunday morning… with the bad news… My engine blew. They told me they wanted to show me what was going on with the engine better than trying to describe it on the phone. So they actually picked me up at the hotel and brought me back to their shop. The news was awful, but I was so grateful at how helpful they were. They showed me what was going on with the car, helped me figure out what my options were, & then the owner gave me a really competitive quote for an engine replacement. (Yes, I called everywhere to compare estimates. The owner had quoted me one of the least expensive rates for the job.) At this point I really wanted them to do the work because of their great customer service & very reasonable rate, but in the end I decided it would be better to have it towed home to have the engine replaced locally instead of having to travel all the way back and forth to Tahoe to pick it up. So basically all that work and amazing customer service they gave me was for free. I never paid a dime. I feel I owe them this review because they were so kind and genuinely helpful for no monetary reward. They definitely deserve 5 stars & this public review is my thank you!

Although the fuel is a bit on the high side. I’ve come in twice for something «simple» and the mechanic Bobby took care of me right away both times.
I’ll continue to fill my car and toys here.

Just 3 day shy of a month since I got my headlight replaced and it’s already burned out. The guys at Chevron cheerfully replaced it at no charge in 11 minutes flat from when I drove up. BOOM. That’s customer service.

It’s a miracle to have this Chevron and its tire store open on Christmas with a nail on your tire. It is even marvelous to have Cleo, who behind the register being so kind and indulgent.
Cleo is the best!

this is the first time i’ve ever given a bad online review, BUT I’M SO DAMN MAD!
I was treated very rudely and lied to on several issues. i was sold a full set of «all season» tires at the end of august. i asked multiple times if they would drive safely on snow. i was repeatedly assured «yes, they’re all season and well reviewed». so yesterday on the first serious snow day, i had the worst experience in 48 years of driving. my subaru kept going into ABS and skidding. i took the car to my mechanic because i thought i was having some kind of catestrophic failure. he put the car up and checked and drove it and said the car is fine, it’s the tires.
I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO CHEVRON AND COMPLAINED THAT THE TIRES WERE TERRIBLE FOR SNOW DRIVING AND THE MANAGER, DOUG, WAS SARCASTIC THAT OF COURSE I NEED SNOW TIRES. i complained that i’d been clear i wanted all season so i wouldnt have to swap the tires out, and had been assured these tires were great. DOUG just kept being sarcastic about «how long have you lived here?! everyone knows you need snow tires!!».
NOW FOR THE LYING… he wanted to charge me $ 60 to mount my snows, and i said i’d tip the guy doing the work $ 20, but he should comp me on the rest since avoiding putting snows on had been the point of buying the all seasons.
DOUG became very nasty about it… then agreed to do the job. but when i went to pick up the car, he hadnt done the job because he said one of my snows was dangerously bald.
2ND LIE: he kept asking me in a sarcastic aggressive manner «what do you want me to do for you? what would make you happy» (this reads like nice helpful service, it was not… it was said sarcastically and aggressively… HE WOULD NEVER TALK TO A MAN LIKE THIS, I’M SURE, BECAUSE HE’D GET HIS TEETH HANDED TO HIM… BUT THIS IS HOW HE TALKS TO AN OLDER WOMAN RESIDENT).
after at least 5 times saying «whaddya want me to do?!» i said, take the crummy tires you sold me off, give me a credit and i’ll buy snows from you and pay the difference“
he said he’d crunch the numbers and let me know the difference… when i called to find out, he said NO, HE WOULDNT DO THAT, I SHOULD KNOW TO HAVE SNOW TIRES AND IT’S NOT HIS FAULT I BOUGHT HIS CRAPPY ALL SEASONS.
i went to my mechanic, who’s very trusted here in incline, and asked him to look at the one snow tire that doug said made it impossible to put them on… the respected mechanic said the tread was thin, but not a problem or dangerous, and put my snows on.
SO AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED, DOUG’S HORRIBLY RUDE BEHAVIOR WAS ALSO FULL OF LIES.
I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS CHEVRON AGAIN (THOUGH I HAVE FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS!)…ANYONE WHO IS RUDE AND LIES SHOULDN’T BE GIVEN BUSINESS… AND I’LL BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW MY EXPERIENCE… I SUSPECT CANNOT TRUST ANY ADVICE GIVEN OR WORK THAT DOUG SUPERVISES… AND THE PIT CREW THERE WILL PROBABLY SCAM YOU IF DOUG DIRECTS THEM TO.

These boys are rude. We are trying to fill the tires with air. After 15 minutes of trying to get the tires to 45 psi I asked if the air pump was broken. I was told it was not. I got an extra air gauge to measure the tire pressure. It was 120 PSI. These boys thought it was funny. They said it shouldn’t take 15 minutes to fill the air. I wonder why they didn’t say anything beforehand. They just watched us filling the tires. I asked them to put an out of order sign on the air pump. they said it was fixed. It was not. They said it worked great before we used it. Like it was our fault that it was broken. They got a good laugh. I have never been treated so poorly at a service station. I would recommend trying any other service station in town. Auto service by Allen is an excellent mechanic. they treat their customers with dignity and respect.

Am in Incline on vacation and our truck had an engine malfunction light. Stopped by Incline Chevron where they had to replace a fuse in order to pull the code. Ordered a part and was back up and running 100% in a couple of hours. If I had done this at home it would have been in the shop for a couple of days. Love being able to drop in without an appointment and have good guys take care of you!

Smart mechanics who give GREAT service! Ask for Steffen — he’s the BEST! I cant say enough good things about this repair shop!
Was up in Tahoe for the weekend, miles from home… the Volvo started acting funny — we thought we we’re dead in the water! Stopped by to Steffen (who was in the shop at the crack of dawn!) and he diagnosed it quick and fixed it even quicker. He knew all about Volvos and their quirks. He knew who had the parts and how fast he could get them. He did the installation, did some extra tests and inspection, and had it fixed up good as new.
And not only was he smart and fast, he was the nicest guy you’d ever want to meet. Oh, and BTW, totaliy reasonable prices!
If you’re in North Lake and need some help, stop any day and be back on the road asap!
