Was forced to come with co workers for drinks one night. Worst night I ever had. Filthy, crowded, dirty, shitty service, outrageous prices, need I go on? The crowd definitely doesn’t want newcomers around so they obviously don’t seem to want much business other than there regulars or the drunks that can get there within walking distance.

Pretty good place to have some fun. The prices are a little up there but the key is to get there and get one of their specials of the day. They always have something going on whether it’s Poker or pool or whatever. That’s a plus because it’s not overly distracting. It’s good for a great night out.

I went up there to practice on the diamond pool tables for a tourney bar is great food and waitresses are nice. Only reason I give 3 stars is because of the appearances outside lighting isn’t lit and it being my first time there didn’t see the sign right away cause of signage out and the bathroom I didn’t want to touch anything at all in there. Other than that it’s a decent place to play pool at.

I live in Noblesville, but I make the trip down to John Wayne’s 2 or 3 times a month for one reason, pool. If you’re a pool player John Wayne’s is the only place around Indy that has newish 9ft Diamond blue label Pro Ams. That is the top of the line pool table in the world, and the same kind nearly every pro event is held on. The equipment is top notch, and you can play all day every day for a measly 5 bucks. They also have a lot of other 7ft pool tables if that is more you’re speed. They are all, with the exception of 3 or 4, Diamond bar tables. The best. They host a lot of league players on a regular basis. In addition to the awesome tables they have a full kitchen and bar. Nothing that will blow you away, but the bbq cheeseburger I had was juicy, flavorful, and big. Definitely got my money’s worth. Love to be able to eat, drink beer, and watch sports on flat screens while I shoot pool on 9ft tables. Only place around Indy where you can do that.

So, one of the things I like about John Wayne’s is it has the things a bar is supposed to have. There are a ton of pool tables, two jute boxes, flat screens everywhere, and free poker every night. Not only that, now they have a smokin hot bar tender named Liz. If you go there Friday night or Sunday for football you will get damn good service and drinks for sure!!!

Hadn’t been in here in years since moving away bit have been in recently and LOVE it. New bartenders rock and keep the customers happy and not waiting… Lots of pool tables with new felts. Food is fantastic or at least what I have tried. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Twice I have walked into this bar around 12−1am on a weekend night and they immediately tell me it’s last call. Apparently this bar doesn’t want our business.

I truly cannot find anything positive to say about this place. Everything is EXTREMELY overpriced. The quality is sub-standard. If your order is messed up it will not be corrected, you will have to pay for whatever you happen to get. Everything is disgustingly dirty and I’ve seen no one clean anything. The owner is more concerned with his gambling ring than his customers experiences. He yells at his employees in front of God and everyone. The wait time for drinks or food is so long you might be able to run over to the mall while your order is prepared. I would never go there again or recommend that anyone else does. The health department seriously needs to investigate the place and put it out of its misery.

We haven’t been here for a couple of years. I had heard about their fried chicken and oh man, they used to have some awesome fried chicken. And, decent burgers & tenderloins. But the place was always such a smoky mess. Anyway, we decided to give it a try last night since the smoking ban is now in effect. The place is even more filthy now, sans the smoke in the air, the food has gone way downhill, and the clientele is the same redneck hilljacks but now they’re all loud & angry & belligerent about the fact that they cannot smoke inside anymore. My husband had to use the mens room(unfortunately) and said it was the dirtiest, pee-stinkiest bathroom that he’s ever used. This isn’t a dive bar. It’s just a crap bar. But, our waitress was very friendly & attentive. 5 stars to her.

This place has been here a long time and it shows. I think some of the bartenders and regulars actually went to school with the The Duke. They aren’t always that friendly to outsiders. I’ve seen some fun bands here over the years, but there are certainly other bars in the area with better food, drink specials, and a more welcoming crowd.
